that is correct. DV sold this team out by aquiring upper aged vets through trades and FA, while doing that he failed to set himself up for the future.
He knew he was retiring in a few years and put all his eggs in his basket. He didnt care about the long term success of the chiefs. He only cared about his team and season at that time.
Still dont know why you think Herm should of consulted DV, that is a strange stretch...
Herm is looking ahead, something Carl has never done. No matter what, Herm will end his coaching career here in KC based on game day issues, not talent and players developed.
