Lawrence Tynes just missed a 40 FG
 

Apparently he's got some real competition to keep his job. The other kicker on the Giants hit a 50-yarder last week. Wouldn't it be funny if the Giants ended up cutting Tynes, while all the people freaked out about Medlock were wishing we'd bring Tynes back?

great, now the planet can REALLY implode.

I don't think anyone would rather we kept Tynes for anything more than competition. I think it was a bad idea to not have someone else in camp to keep Medlock honest.

The night that Medlock missed two FGs, there were plenty of posts saying they wished we had stuck with Tynes.
I'm sure some people wanted him for competition, but there were some posters who genuinely still wanted him to be our kicker.

He just missed a 43 yarder and Eric Hicks came over to tell him its okay (they are playing the jets).

Damn, Tynes' competing kicker just kicked the ball out of the back of the endzone. When Tynes kicked off earlier, it only went to the 5 yard line.

Watching this game on replay now. He missed both his field goals so far. As of now Medlock is still an upgrade.
