I voted for Podsednik and Oswalt because I don't want any more Yankees in the game and Jeter's numbers don't "qualify" him imo... and the Sox are the shit this year so I felt like Podsednik probably deserves it.... and Oswalt beat the Royals so somewhere in my twisted logic that makes us look less terrible if he's an All-Star at least.

Apparently MLB has no love for Emil Brown. Big surprise.

Am I wrong or are all of the NL candidates pitchers? I'm not sure about Webb with Arizona. I thought the managers picked the pitchers. Seems to me fan voting should be for only position players with that in mind.

And can we stop giving WS homefield advantage to the winning league yet? Jesus what a stupid idea.

I think that its just whatever position that the team still needs an extra player. At least thats what they were saying on the radio here. The NL is short a pitcher and With the exception of Jeter all of the AL candidates are OF's.

Gotcha. Have the main pitchers been chosen yet? I missed it if they were. I want to celebrate Jose Lima's inclusion after all.
