You can, but there are several steps involved. Assuming you have the shows in a movie file on your computer (avi, mpg, etc.), let me know which format you have and that would be a good place to start. Also, another thing to consider is which kinds of media your dvd player will play. Store-bought dvd's come in either DVD+R format or DVD-R format. Most players will play DVD-R and fewer play the DVD+R format.

What you're gonna need is some pliers, 30 weight ball bearings and some 3 in 1 oil...

Since the file is already in MPEG form, the process is a little simpler. The first step is to encode the MPEG(s) for burning to a DVD. For that I use a program called TMPGENC DVD Author. I think there is a trial version available but it may not do much for you, I have the full version and it works perfectly. That program will change the MPEG file(s) into files that make up DVDs (VOB, BUP and IFO files). Once encoded (you can encode up to 4.7 GBs of data on one DVD, up to 8 hours) you will need a program to burn it to DVD, I use Nero Burning ROM. When you open the program, it will ask you what format, choose DVD-Video. At that point you basically drag and drop the files created from the DVD Author into the Video_TS folder in the left part of the Nero window and then you can burn the DVD. I would recommend burning at the lowest possible speed to minimize errors. Hopefully that about covers it.

Or if you have a dual layer burner, you can burn up to 8( point something)GB per disk.

Get the full version of TEMPgenc from a torrent site. That's what I did at least.
