Horny
|
Seems like Tranquill insurance? Maybe a Willie Gay type of role.
|
Special teams
|
Gay replacement
|
He’s fast.
|
Another one of "my guys"!
I wanted a RB here, but I can't complain about this. |
Not that athletic. Must have good intangibles.

Can’t believe we didn’t snag a rb instead. Lame. Need a lber too I guess, but lame
|
Practice squad
|
Really good pick. Crow should be happy.
|
Assume this is a Toub pick
|

Jeffrey Bassa was Oregon's Money (coverage) linebacker last season, and the guy they used for spying quarterbacks. Over Chris Paul Jr and a RB. Nah, don't get it.
Don't hate the player but an odd pick |
Strange to have that great a vertical and a poor 10 yard split…???
|
PBUs. Awesome
Adds a specific need to the lb room they don’t have |
|
Need an RB
|
Woke up from a cat nap just in time to see this pick.
Didn't think he would be on the radar but he's definitely a Tranquil replacement pick. |
This defense will be fast and strong at every level!
|
We need a coverage LB but we probably need another RB even more.
Who is the best RB available at this point? |
Quote:
We were an abortion covering TEs and the middle of the field last year, LV does have Bowers, so it's definitely not a fluke addition. |
Special teams
|
Not sure I like this pick but happy we didn't draft a RB

Meh

You can't have a list of one position and a single other player and anything outside of that doesn't make sense. At this point of the draft grades are all over the place. |
Eventual coverage LB on passing downs..?
This conference has a lot of real good TE’s. We have been getting killed short over the middle, also a good QB spy for containing the likes of Ryan, Jackson.. I can see the need. |
Stole him right out from under the Buccaneers. In turn the Bucs drafted a guy that won't be on the roster.
|
Super solid pick up. Absolutely a great compliment to what Bolton and Chenal do.

I like Bassa as a coverage backer option. I was surprised he didn't test better than he did, because he doesn't look like a 4.8 guy when you watch him play.
|
Quote:
I'd be pretty shocked if he didn't make the team. Especially as a ST capable guy. |
In a playoff game vs Watson and the Texans Dorian odaniel (Sutton era holdover)had a role as a spy and actually had a sack. Spags will have a role for him. Maybe not every week but he will have a chance to fill a role

I just picked a different LBer. LBer made a TON of sense with that pick. |
Hope this guy gets cut PRONTO. **** the Ducks always.
|
Imagine caring about Oregon for any reason
|
I was thinking of throwing some money at Isaiah Simmons who is still unsigned but this is cheaper and more long term
|
Green dot on a title-contending defense.

A QB would've been odd. IOL would've been odd. |
He and I almost have the same name...weird

Do you really think Bassa will be able to take it all in? |
Quote:
Seems pretty apparent that Veach saw that run on LBs coming up and went and got the guy he really wanted. |

All bets are off in rounds 4-7, IMO. In those rounds you just try to take guys with great value whom (who?) you hope can turn into plus players at some point.
|
definitely need depth at LB and he shouldn't have to play on defense his rookie year, special teams most likely for this year.

TBH though, after Giddens went I'm not sure I cared that much for guys like Martinez. So I guess see what we get at the death. |

I didn’t know anything about him, but I love the makeup of the kid. Converted safety. Green dot. Good in coverage and in the box.
That 40 time scared me off and I didnt even have him on my radar. |

Better stop or I’ll hafta spank ya.. and you just might like it. |

If Giddens is still there at that pick, maybe I'm a bit ornery about it. He wasn't. I don't think another RB has gone since. I don't expect more than 1 or 2 to come off the board before we pick again. There have just been a lot of 'em taken already and they're all pretty fungible at this point. |
Joey Bosa or Jeffrey Bassa?
|
Quote:
He definitely lost a step in 2024. I think I'm less worried about LBer had Tranquill not fallen off so obviously last year. |
Cam Jones has a bit of upside yet but his coverage is average. This just strengthens the unit
|
Chiefs decided they have enough at RB?
|
While I completely understand the need for a good coverage backer, still would've preferred RB here
DO really like the former safety aspect of his game, and running a 4.6 isn't too shabby |
When the hivemind chirping about this pick needing to be a RB is the only negative, it’s a good thing
His presser was a good listen. Hes going to be a coaches favorite. Very smart player. Apparently he’s been a regional scout’s favorite for years. |

Why would you trade up for a practice squad guy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

so what has been the #1 complaint since gay left?... and what did we just attack by getting bassa - a converted safety?
isn't flashy but it's one of those picks we will appreciate the most in the playoffs during key passing downs, especially once tranquill leaves. veach is just knocking it out of the park every time. |
I wanted Stutsman in the fourth, but I’m thrilled with Jalen Royals. I just checked out Bassa and he seems like a terrific prospect. I guess hybrid money backers are what’s needed in today’s game.

Ignorant shits want to attack me start a thread. Mutual respect towards posters who want to talk football and not gay sex should be shown. Having respect for grown ass men that moderate the board is also a sign of mutual respect. A couple of you have none and it’s apparent to everyone but you two offended darlings. Go start your thread bitch and stick your precious thumbs down up your nose |

We got the most explosive RB on the board when this pick was made anyway.
Can we all like this pick now? |
Quote:
Evidently he ran at his game weight while a lot of those guys clipping of 4.5s cut weight to run. So his is a 'true' 4.6. That's gonna play pretty damn well. |
