So we've got arguably the worst, island of misfit toys outfield going right now in the history of Royals baseball, all things considered. For shits and giggles, what if we replaced our outfield with what I consider the best outfield we've ever assembled? They were only together for a couple of seasons, and Beltran was hurt for most of 2000, but Damon, Dye and Beltran... Just for fun, check this out...

1. Damon - LF
2. Witt Jr - SS
3. Beltran - CF
4. Dye - RF
5. Perez - C
6. Pasquantino - 1B
7. Garcia - 3B
8. Massey - DH
9. India - 2B

In all likelihood, India probably isn't on the team because you've got Damon, so we likely hold onto Singer. But whatever... Again, it's just for laughs, but holy ****balls, prime Damon, Dye and Beltran added to this lineup? With this pitching staff? Is this a 100 win team?

Okie dokie, not the conversation starter I thought it might be. Returning from Fantasy Land, and the Royals are up 1-0 and BWJ's hitting streak has hit 18 games.

Can we replace this hurt or broke dick version of Vinny with healthy Mike Sweeney? If so, we got ourselves a WS contender.

A return to Fantasy Land... you throw prime Sweeney in this lineup along with Damon, Dye and Beltran, and this is a legit 100+ win team without a doubt. And I probably keep Vinnie at 1st and just let Sweeney DH. Team speed would be off the charts with almost airtight defense, and a LOT of run scoring opportunities. THAT would be a fun team to watch. But anyway... back to reality, and we're up 2-0 heading to the bottom of the 7th! Time for some insurance runs!

So can you call him out blocking the base?

Damn. Renfroe has become such a weak ass. Hit the gym, ****er.

Well, they ruled him safe after the replay, but I don't know what happens if he's ruled to be blocking the base (as he was). Do they award him another base, or just call him safe?

So reading the rules, the replay officials got this wrong. He was clearly tagged before touching the base. But there was obstruction. But obstruction isn't reviewable. And they didn't call obstruction on the field.

I think they need to make a move on Renfroe. He just doesn't seem to have his head in the game for whatever reason.

Nice getting that win. AL Central went 6-1 today.

That's what I figured. Seemed like they knew the on field umps blew the obstruction call and just let the safe call stand.

We are replacing Hunter Renfroe with a star away from winning this division.
