Should the Chiefs draft Shedeur?

As a backup/developmental guy. I think he could blossom
Under Reid/Mahomes tutelage.

Your thoughts please….

pugsnotdrugs19 04-25-2025 11:21 PM

The distractions won’t be worth it. Too much media frenzy follows that family, led by that family.

Bump 04-25-2025 11:24 PM

We do have the Mr Irrelevant pick and that would be pretty funny so yes we should with that pick only.

Katie 04-25-2025 11:25 PM

no, too much drama following him.

RealSNR 04-25-2025 11:27 PM

You just want us to draft him so you can start a "Should the Chiefs start Shedeur over Patrick Mahomes?" thread

can't wait for his "should Gardner Minshew start over Patrick Mahomes" thread later this year

FloridaMan88 04-25-2025 11:57 PM

Absolutely… as Mr. Irrelevant with the final pick in the draft.

Fish 04-26-2025 12:03 AM

Should Deberg start threads?

So, I don't see Cleveland taking him. I don't see LV taking him based on them wanting to just bring some stability to their franchise.

Who rolls the dice? I'm assuming either the Giants or maybe even the Cowboys.

George Liquor 04-26-2025 05:02 AM

Nah. Enough media hoopla with TS.

Shitdoor gunna be an undrafted free agent?

stevieray 04-26-2025 06:07 AM

Should Deion have taught his son attitude/gratitude?

BlackHelicopters 04-26-2025 06:09 AM

Great thread.

Regime 04-26-2025 06:13 AM

We already got someone in the KC Wolf mascot role.

If he's still there at the very bottom of the 7th you kind of have to for the lulz.

Scooter LaCanforno 04-26-2025 06:26 AM

Free Agent Rookie. Going to need a QB for our Rookie camp.

Rainbarrel 04-26-2025 07:11 AM

Teams fighting over the right to draft Sanders as Mr. Irrelevant could be very, very advantageous

kccrow 04-26-2025 07:39 AM

Kind of have to think the Raiders or Jets will take him at the top of 4 but who knows. Kyle McCord and Quinn Ewers are still sitting there.

Shields68 04-26-2025 07:41 AM

Are we one of the teams on his approved to draft list?

Fansy the Famous Bard 04-26-2025 07:48 AM

Absolutely not

Best22 04-26-2025 07:58 AM

No Minshew is better

I’d take Sanders over Carson Wentz, but our backup QB is pretty good so I’m not worried

Iowanian 04-26-2025 08:07 AM

I’d rather draft sanders as a defensive tackle than read another one of these Deburg threads

Frazod 04-26-2025 08:09 AM

The circus ain't worth the price of admission. Even if the ticket is free.

kccrow 04-26-2025 08:12 AM

I'd say, yes, if he's there at the bottom of the 5th, then go ahead and draft him.

The two things he could use coaching on, his internal clock and his attitude, I think Reid could improve those things. That's a situation where you might flip that kid in two years for a 2nd round pick.

I don't think he'll be there at that point, but I don't think I would completely dismiss the thought of taking the kid at that value.

SHOWTIME 04-26-2025 08:13 AM

If he's not drafted, he needs to go back to college and have a monster year...that's much better than signing somewhere as an UDFA.

lewdog 04-26-2025 08:26 AM

I think the waterboy position is already filled.

I actually agree here. Sanders is a kid that if you can get him to just shut the **** up and have some successful preseason drives, you can flip him for a great return in a year or two.

Is it worth the time investment to do something like this? Just sounds like a lot of time and work to basically turn a 5th into a 2nd. And that's not even considering the circus that comes with this pick.

I guess if the Chiefs wanted to do it then go for it. I actually want a team that needs a QB to draft him and give him a chance. Just for my own curiousity/entertainment.

Chief Roundup 04-26-2025 09:27 AM

Absolutely not

Sassy Squatch 04-26-2025 10:11 AM

Yeah, memes and jokes aside the kid is probably the second or third best QB prospect in this class, and Kansas City may very well be the best situation in the entire league for him to develop for a couple years.

No one that isn't a complete ****ing mouth breather or hot take generator would ever seriously clamor to start him over Mahomes, and if you want to bring a circus to the organization do it at the peril of your pro career.

T-post Tom 04-26-2025 10:13 AM

News flash: Scott Pioli is NOT the GM for the Kansas City Chiefs. So Sanders will NOT be drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs. No matter how many candy wrappers he picks up. A legit SB contender does not need that 3 ring circus.

ROYC75 04-26-2025 10:38 AM

OH HELL NO!

We are the Kansas City Chiefs, not the Barnum & Bailey Circus Act.

Dallas for sure

lawrenceRaider 04-26-2025 10:50 AM

Getting drafted by KC would be the best thing to ever happen to him. Reid might actually be able to make something out of him.

Hayneplane 04-26-2025 11:18 AM

If he could be picked up with one of our 7th rounders then sure why not. Those picks at that point in the draft are just lottery tickets with a 50/50 chance of sticking on the roster for the season so why not use it on someone with the potential upside to be flipped for a 2nd rounder in a year or 2.

No. **** no. **** that kid and his family.

Do not bring that poison to this locker room.

That’s exactly what 32 teams are teaching him right now. Going undrafted and learning the lesson on son you’re going to have to earn it could be a tremendous learning lesson for him. Make him a better man. All about how he chooses to approach this

kcfan75 04-26-2025 11:34 AM

I agree, take him with the last pick and convert him to WR.

Buehler445 04-26-2025 11:39 AM

Hopefully they have some due diligence done if they do. I think there is a real chance you can take this kid, teach him how to be a pro and flip him (to the mother****ing NFC goddamn it).

booger 04-26-2025 12:21 PM

Kid is going to drop the browns off at the Super Bowl
