Also took Gilotte in my mock for the Chiefs (ONL at 61, Gilotte at 95).

He was my favorite of the 2nd tier DEs. Highly productive, has the length that Spags will like. Willing (but raw) against the rush.

What sets him apart from some 'spags' DEs, IMO, is that he really does have good burst. Not super bendy, but not bad.

So not only you got this guy who posted a 21 percent pass rush win rate in 2024 (one of the best in college football), you also got Omarr Norman-Lott who had a 18.9% (lead DT's).

The ladies over at TwoBillsDrive haven't been big fans of any of our picks, disappointingly. They seem annoyed about Veach being so good at his job. It makes them sad, and you really hate to see that.

Karlaftis wins in his second move and by being relentless. Gillotte is someone that's looking to set you up snap by snap (rather than within a snap) and beat you with a single move. He will challenge your outside shoulder a bit more and does the speed to power thing a bit better.

Can't think of a comp at the moment, but it ain't Karlaftis.

Absolutely. Veach specifically said he like the EDGE and RB depth. It's not a coincidence that he waited for both. I expect a RB tomorrow.

There is no length to him being sub 32” is pretty poor but the production is great though so who cares. Karlaftus like in that he is also short armed but simply plays his ass off. This kid is like Chenal , sub 32” arm length just a chubbier ( lack of a better way to put it. Think James Harrison. Maybe 5’10” but just an ass kicker. ONL is like a Jimmy Wilkerson build. Or Allen Bailey right when he came out but a pudgy version. Not bodybuilder build but who cares. They win like collegiate wrestlers. What made Casey Weigmann a great center same thing different position. Choosing them flat out on production vs 6-4+ 250+ 34” 10” arm and hand length. They had neither body type aside from Chenal and Danna.

DL is like your pitching staff and bullpen. Throw as many different body types and styles at the OL and it ****s with their heads. Good on Cullen calling for just go get me these gnarly rugged dogs who are productive and add them to what we have. It fits. Different approach but a nice surprise. James Harrison like style

MK was 6’6 265. Can’t find his arm length but I’m thinking at least 34”. He actually played SaM LB when injuries occurred and he was able to stand up and pound on TEs Shorter and more compact. Standing this guy up and widening him out helps him. He is excellent with leverage and his hands

OL vs DL in regards to pass rush is like MMA. OT vs DE. Is like you have a kickboxer vs a wrestler and the kickboxer can beat him with length so the wrestler has to chop his long limbs down and just get nasty. Boxers and reach. Except there’s 4-5 fights going on at once. Before I seen George K’s highlights I saw just under 6’4 263 with sub 33” arms and those measurements just screams average. But his Purdue highlights were so fun to watch because he was like a boxer who had a pre planned combo of punches ready to throw at you and excellent feet. No wasted steps. No fancy ass point guard trying to break your ankles with fancy fakes and shakes. He knows how he has to win and he’s not going to deviate from the plan. These 2 guys play the same way
