I didn't want to start this thread but someone had to. Some sort of first round pick, Casey Mize, is on the hill and he's not the sort to feel bad about kicking a dog when it's down. Stopping our canine throats from gnashing teeth is Seth Lugo, Cy Young finalist from the distant past year of 2024.

Interpolating the line, the Royals are moderate underdogs at about +120. Could be a tough game out there.

Only one thing can save the season: re-rompering Vlad.

That said, it's pretty early in the season to say that it needs to be saved. MLB is nothing but streaks and the early schedule has been brutal.

I love a great pitchers duel every now and then, but watching a team that is all pitching and no offense is just ****ing boring and draining.

This stretch of ineptitude is rivaling the one from September last year. In fact, it may even be worse at this point. I haven’t checked the numbers, but it’s abysmal.

I wanna say JJ completely ****ed us by not getting that middle of the order power bat, but the reality of it is with the lineup hitting the way they are, it may not have mattered.

We have Witt, a semi competent Garcia, and 7 spots of black hole.

Just a shitty lineup top to bottom that cannot win major league ballgames.


Sherman is losing all that momentum he gained last year for the excitement about the team and the new ballpark.

Joey Wiemer might be dead. He has no stats in 2025 at all. I think he died, or just retired. In any event his career has come to a bizarre end. He isn't an option.

That doesn't mean that letting Nick Loftin have an at-bat would be the most egregious tactic of baseball in all of history. You can't score less than zero runs, a mathematician might point out.

Post game on the radio last night said it was pretty much identical to September's.

That’s the frustrating part.

When the bullpen is fully healthy (hopefully Harvey and Erceg back soon) this pitching staff overall is really ****ing good.

But the offense has been so bad that it doesn’t even matter.


The bottom of the lineup you expect to suck but Vinnie and Salvy hitting around .200 each with virtually no power is just something you can not work around.

OK, sign a blind guy. Well, that may be MJ. Or make everyone except Bobby play in kilts.

Jac Caglianone's initials are JC. Saviors aforehand have had those same initials. We just gotta wait until he makes his debut in 2029 for the Dodgers. He wont ever play for the Royals cause they have Cavan Biggio at 1B. But when the Dodgers get him, he's gonna rake and that'll be worth the MLB TV subscription if nothing else.

My MLB ticket is set to renew in May. The way we are playing, I might not spend the $139. This team is just boring as hell to watch. Even if you lack talent, you still should be able to play smart fundamental baseball at this level. They make too many dumb**** plays. Combine that with the massive lack of talent, and you get 100 losses easily. This year is a massive ownership, scouting, and coaching ****up.

Do you think Isbel was going to hit it out? Hell a pitcher may hit better than turdbel.
