Found out today that I've caught the cancer.

One of the boobs. Thank goodness for mammograms. Caught it early. It's an aggressive type, but it's super tiny and still non-invasive (hasn't broke through and touched any tissue). Hopefully, I'll find out tomorrow when my surgery is to remove it. Then I'll get zapped with some radiation and hopefully be rid of it.

Positive vibes appreciated.

Jewish Rabbi 04-17-2025 06:47 PM

Sorry to hear that. Had my battle with it last year (not the same type, obviously).

There will be times when you question whether treatment is even worth it. Thinking of my little one kept me strong.

Unfortunately, a lot of people on here have had experience with this. Several reached out to me with encouragement during the process. If you need any advice or just a vent, lots of us here will oblige.

mlyonsd 04-17-2025 06:48 PM

Best wishes to you. It's great that you caught it early. You'll be fine, and will probably develop some sort of superpower from the radiation.

That’s Dr Eric Berg. I have followed him for several years now and have followed lots of his advice on vitamins deficiencies and supplements and or diet changes he suggests. I’m type 2 since about 2016 or so and his advice has helped me with that specifically and overall health and diet in general.

The video (on my phone and can’t embed) is how iodine deficiency can be tied into breast and prostate cancers. A good sea salt or I use exclusively Himalayan pink salt is great for iodine. Liquid form can also help topically applied to help with the cancer area.

It’s just another way to attack this thing. To me vitamins, minerals, diet etc are all part of a piece of the strategic pie with your Drs, primary and specialists and I personally include God the greatest healer into the equation. So for example with my type 2 I take metformin and have slowly been able to reduce the amount by diet change and berberine and benfotiamine supplements. (Be sure to include your Drs on things like this you may try, they need to know)

Never would try to steer the conversation into a debate on alternative health solutions vs modern day medicine, especially in a personal thread such as this. Video is just under 5 minutes. And there are others related to this. Just a thought is all. Anything that might help with the other methods of grabbing this bastard called cancer by the throat and cutting off its air supply, I hope you and others in similar situations find those solutions and attack from all angles. Just like Spags defense!

Good luck and God Bless you and your family

Mike in SW-MO 04-17-2025 08:34 PM

Wife had it. Been good for 15 years.

Good thing is aggressive is actually easier to treat if caught early. Listen to your docs. Good luck.

DaFace 04-17-2025 08:39 PM

Sorry to hear this , luv. Glad you caught it early, but I know that the coming months will be tough. We'll be excited to hear about it once you've kicked its ass.

Thanks all. It's been an up and down day. Waiting to tell the kiddo until closer to the surgery, once we find out when it is. I always kind of figured I'd end up with some form. It just hit about 20 years before I thought it would.

If you’re going to get it, get it now, not 20 years from now. You are far healthier and stronger today than you will be in 2045.

In a year, this will be in the rearview mirror.

Yeah. My grandmother died from breast cancer. I started yearly mammograms at 40 instead of 45. I'm 48 now.
