Souls like with a Bethesda game? Hard pass, I'll stick with Skyblivion thank you.

Sorry but Skyblivion won't hold a candle to this. And it's not going to make every combat encounter Souls-like. It's just going to improve the combat in the game, which was always terrible.

This is going to be epic. Like playing a new game.

Let me know when Bethesda actually has a responsive engine that wouldn't make a souls like game a disaster. I haven't seen it yet but ok let's dream a little. I'm playing through a heavily modded Fallout 4 right now and even the modders improved the engine, just strange how Bethesda never can. Nonetheless just give me the playground and let me mod the crap out of it, that's How I roll and no one does wide open moddable games like they do.

I never played oblivion but this guy I bought an Xbox 360 had this thick ass book to go with the game. Always looked sweet but I am not into this dungeons and dragons shit.

I enjoyed it quite a bit back in the day, although not as much as Skyrim or the Fallout games. I remember there were occasions when large groups of NPCs would be battling that made the game lag badly. And those goddamn endlessly recurring oblivion gates that popped up everywhere in the endgame got old quickly.

Still, I'll probably give this a look.

Oblivion may be the best story that bathesda has ever put together. Im excited to replay it with current gen graphics and obviously their test run for the new combat system in tes6

I'm pretty much Fallout only now, I'm waiting for a new Fallout game. Hopefully that happens before I die.

There have been two full scale fallout releases since the last main line elder scrolls release.

I hope to hell that fallout is on the back burner lol

That's a good point - as I recall the main quest line was far less of a boat anchor than most of their other games, particularly Fallout 4 (**** baby Shaun) and Starfield (**** Constellation). And I remember that I particularly enjoyed the Dark Brotherhood quest.

I feel the same about Witcher 4. I recently read somewhere that it's supposed to drop in 2027. I should be able to hold out for another couple of years.

Oblivion had the best versions of the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild out of any ES game.

The Thieves Guild questline was one of the best gaming experiences ever.

Do people actually want ES VI?

Oh wait, they can barely wait for it to come out so they can bury it under a mountain of bad reviews.

I actually hope ES VI does release some decade and it actually is a great game.

I'll wait for a sale, like I said it's my favorite TES game but I've played the crap out of it already.

I'm going to wait until I get some player feedback. If it suffers from the typical Bethesda buggy-as-shit-for-the-first-six-months thing, I can hold off on a game I've already played a ton.

Its something like the diablo 2 reskin that Blizzard did a while back.

Underneath its the original game. Just with a remodel.

Massive nostalgia kick and the updated graphics are fantastic.

Minor complaints.

I can't see what item I'm on in the inventory, as the display is so bright. Funny enough there's a message when adjusting brightness that it will have no effect on the UI. So I'm stuck bringing up the description tab that shows me the actual picture of the item I'm on.

Next off is a first person camera glitch that happens that places the camera so high that you tower over everyone, and clip through the tops of doorways. The fix for this is to go into third person view, save, and reboot the game. Load the third person save file (don't press continue) and then change back to first person. It's annoying but at least it's not stuck that way.

It's hilarious that the devs removed one of the ways to easily kill Umbra at level one for the full ebony set and Umbra sword. You used to be able to hop on a table, and up onto a pillar if your acrobatics was around 20. Then you could just destroy her with ranged attacks as she couldn't reach you.

In the remaster, the pillars are no longer solid objects lmao. So instead, you just bitch slap Umbra, and lead her out of Vindasel, and into the imperial city. Keep her focused on you, focusing on either dodging, or blocking her. The imperial legion guards will swarm in and destroy her for you, and as long as you maintain aggro, she won't wipe the floor with the guards and kill half the npcs. Holding her attention so the archers just shoot her in the back works quite well.

Best part is all the free legion armor and weapons from any guards she kills. More free money.

Weightless op sword and a good amount of gold for selling her heavy gear at level one is a great start. Currently smashing through the arena ranks for more gold, and probably starting dark brotherhood after.

I'm not sure it's worth 50 bucks, but it's got its claws into me for sure.

I broke down and got it. It's not like I've got anything better to do.

About eight hours in. So far, no bugs, glitches or crashes.

Game is gorgeous. I'm really enjoying it.

Seriously. My only gripe is the inventory list being so bright I can't see the item I'm over on Series X.

Smashed through arena, and on my way to the Inn of Ill Omen to merc Rufio to join the Dark Brotherhood.

Probably mages guild after, can't wait to see how they've improved the spell crafter.

Man I've just been looking at screenshots people are posting.

Can't wait to play quests like Knights of the Nine all over again.

Same. I whacked Umbra to get the kickass sword/armor set and the recruiter was waiting for me when I next rested. As I recall, that was my favorite part of the game.
