NFL Draft Proapect Kyren Lacy dies

What an incredibly wild story. This kid was a first round talent, ends up killing someone and now has died.

This is funny and these jokes always hit for me, but it is extra funny when you consider the fact that we’ve sort of become the present-day Raiders. We’ve got too many players with cases lately.

Nah. Raiders are an irrelevant franchise. Their best days were decades ago, their trophy case hasn't been open in so long that only Indiana Jones could find its actual location, and their best player is a tight end. We're nothing like the present day raiders.

Cases full of trophies.

ThaVirus 04-13-2025 10:19 AM

The Raiders haven’t won a division title since 2002. I am 100% not comparing us to them in that regard LMAO they’re a pathetic franchise.

Just saying.. we’ve got a lot of players with off-the-field issues lately.

And what makes it worse is the Brit Reid shit. It’s not only players but members of the staff. Leaves an ugly stain.

Just Win, Baby!

Womble 04-13-2025 12:39 PM

If we draft his corpse he still would have better stats in 2025 than Skyy Moore did last year:

0 receptions
0 yards
0 dropped passes (better than Skyy)

His agent must be livid. Nothing lowers your draft stock more than a murder-suicide.

No. The Missouri outgoing governor commuted his sentence.

Is that just a Catholic belief or something shared by all Christian denominations?

Per the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

Quote:

2283 We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives.
This is a bit of a shift from the old way of thinking that if a person were to take their own life, they were 'probably' doomed to hell. But it was never an absolute thing.

Not to DC this thread all up, but I simply cannot believe that an all-knowing, all-powerful, loving deity would doom billions of his beloved creations to an eternity in the lake of fire for actions committed in a blink-of-an-eye existence on Earth.

Rain Man 04-14-2025 05:04 PM

ESPN is now reporting that he committed suicide during a police chase after firing a gun during a family argument.

This guy was checking a lot of bad boxes. Vehicular homicide, domestic disputes, shootings, police chases....anyone want to put money on a later reveal of dogfighting and human trafficking?

Wow, society sure lost a good one didn't they?

Has his mom been on tv holding a baby photo talking about what a sweet boy he was yet?

The father put out a nice message overall about mental health, but he also said something like "God needed our baby more than we did."

Uh, I think God took your baby to protect everyone else's baby.

So living in BR and a die hard Tigers fan this is ashame. To be honest, in my opinion, this is karma. These young kids with bright futures truly just **** up without thinking about the consequences. This is just a stupid decision and a crying shame. Rest in peace kid.

Today's kids are mentally weak on average. You can't punish them. They are not accountable for their behaviors. Can't control their emotions.
What is worse, it is my generations fault. Generation x/y for raising these babies.

No idea why parents are content with this..

Kid tucked up like rice. Would have caught probably a 4 to 6 year sentence. Decides death is better than prison. Sure your nfl career is gone. But you still had a degree and other jobs to help your family.

No sympathy for criminals and druggies when they off themselves. Sucks for the family.

Such an overrated cop out for players problems

Wrestling, cheerleader and professional soccer have higher cte rates. They don't have the suicide problems.

Most players are broke, divorcing or lost it all. That is why they do it. Certain players refuse to handle their success and piss it away on average 3 years later after retirement.

M0j0 04-15-2025 06:23 PM

very sad... I'm sure he saw his dreams go up in smoke and figured there was no way out.
