I think Neeson is an inspired choice. I wonder if he can pull it off half as well as Nielson. |

shut up, this is RIPE for a sequel

Liam Neeson is 72 and looks 50
he's gonna be like Shatner |
From the team that made MacGruber. Should be fun!
That OJ joke wow. |
Sure why not? I'll take a look at it.

I dont know if I can.
Not a fan of remakes. I would guess everyone here knows that. |
That is a ****ing awesome trailer.

I think it’s a brilliant idea. It’s now like it’s back to the future and you’re casting chalomet to play Marty Mcfly. This is a franchise with a simple premise.
I wish the OG creators were around. I’m a little nervous at first glance. But I remember that Leslie Nielsen was a long time serious actor before he became a comedy legend. And I remind myself that by the time the last naked gun movie came out the rapid fire slapstick comedy was getting replaced by teen comedies and parody movies. I think we’re all ready for this type of movie to make a comeback. |
I'm torn.
Laughed and watched police squad and naked gun in my teens like there was no tomorrow. the concept could continue - but it MUST stick with the formula that made it what it was |

Frank: It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day. Jane: Goodyear? Frank: No, the worst. |
My favorite Leslie Nielsen story is that he's famous for Naked Gun but also played a totally serious space commander in Forbidden Planet. LMAO

I hope they have another Denver Jockstrap.

It’s not American pie raunchy. It’s not Scary Movie parody and I’m really glad they didn’t go that route. It’s going to be totally out there randomness. I kind of wish Andy samberg had some part in it. Seven days in hell seems is super underrated and I think a new interesting spin on the franchise. |
It could work but, doubtful at the moment.

nice dig on OJ

We should all be thankful they used Neeson instead of trying to force a woman into the role.
I guess they want to make money. |
It's easy to forget but those movies were just wall to wall one-liners.
I mean every 60 seconds you had another one. I don't think Neeson can do that. That said, he's absolutely a nails choice for the role. He's gonna do it as well as anyone possibly could. And frankly, the Naked Gun movies often suffered from NOT giving a joke a second or two to breathe. There's a real chance this is BETTER than any of the originals. This might actually kick some serious ass. It'll need to be a little more like the Dragnet movie was though - some actual story in there with the sort of slapstick/dark humor mixed in throughout. If they manage the tone that, say, 21 Jump Street had -- that could be REALLY good. I just don't think straight parody will be doable in the way Nielsen did it. |
