No doubt that will be the first of 3 games in 5 days for the Chiefs, in 3 different hemispheres.

Well, good news is it's a mini-bye for Week 2.

Womble 04-02-2025 08:53 AM

The state of the pitch in the Eagles game there last year was a disgrace.

Elijah Mitchell will do well to last the first quarter before coming off with a season ending injury.

I just checked ChatGPT. This is the response I got.

"Chargers home game? There is no such thing as a Chargers home game. The few home supporters they do have (like that Asian chick) support other teams. Go Chiefs!"

Even if we have more fans than them there it essentially is a lost game. In the Eagles Packers game last year the crowd went all crybaby and emotional pre-match and then it was dead silence for the whole game. At least in the European games (which I am not a fan of and won't go to because it's America's Game) the crowd reacts a bit.

Forty years ago it was awesome. Glad I went then.

As for this game, God I hope they pick somebody other than the Chiefs. May Goodell roast in deepest pit of hell forever for foisting this shit on the league. Sending our guys to these violent third world hellholes is insane. And it's not going to stop until somebody gets kidnapped or killed.

Went to Sao Paulo on business a couple years before retiring and the poverty is very sad and overwhelming. No ****ing way do I ever want to go back there.

But, I did give an autographed Chiefs SBIV football to the owner down there when he came up for a visit. So there should be at least one Chiefs fan. He found all the American football Chiefs memorabilia in my office interesting as they are soccer people.

philfree 04-02-2025 10:15 AM

This is really a ****ed up idea. Season opener on a Friday against a division rival being played on foreign soil. If was against an NFC team I'd say play it like a preseason game with the starters getting a possession or two. Sometimes Clark just needs to say no. That said the NFL must be making bank on these games or they wouldn't be doing it.

Based on the Chargers' home schedule, I'd guess it's either the Chiefs (BREAKING NEWS, Bearcat guesses something! /twitter, probably), Commanders, or maybe Texans.... they also play the Eagles at home, but they got stuck going to Brazil last season.

And the other two don't feel like opening night material.

Yeah, that’s dumb af. Sucks for fans who want to just chill.

I suppose NFLers may have a different view, though. I’m not sure about the logistics of the season around Christmas, but if they have to practice/be in the facility on Christmas to prep for a Sunday game anyway, then maybe they would prefer to actually just play on that day and get the following day or two off to celebrate.

I stayed here in a nice suite.

I walked to the beach everyday.

I was there when the Cruziero was crashing and reach 220,000-240,000 Cruziero per 1 US dollar. While I was there they changed the money to Cruzados and devalued their money by 1,000 times. It was now 240 Cruzados per 1 US dollar.

I took 2 women and a guy from Brooklyn I met to dinner. We had steaks, veal, appetizers, bottles of wine, vegetables, breads, desserts, more drinks and the whole bill with tip came to just over $40.

Looks like it is happening.

"The three games for 2025 will be going to Netflix and Amazon, Adam Schefter reported Tuesday. Since Christmas is on a Thursday, Amazon will be getting its standard Thursday night game while Netflix will be handling the other two games as part of a three-year deal that it signed with the NFL in 2024.

If the NFL sticks to the same Christmas tripleheader schedule that it's had in the past, then the games will be staggered throughout the day with kickoff times at 1 p.m. ET, 4:30 p.m. ET and 8:20 p.m. ET. "

I had a super sexy TWA stewardess I met the first day I arrived in Grand Cayman, I was so tan from 9 weeks on vacation, she had me rub sun tan all over her back including the crack of her ass, we made a date to have dinner at Pappagallo's and then sex but I had to cancel when the souvenir the girl from Rio gave me forced me to the doctor for a shot.

In my mind, it looks like in that picture. Patrick is telling Sherbet “get your ****ing loser hands off me and my 3 time Super Bowl championship winning, peak physical fitness, body! Loser!”

And the guy walking up to them is like HOLY SHIT, PAT IS A COLDBLOODED MOTHER ****ER!

Is this the Chargers year? The stars seem aligned for them

Not where I thought this story was going initially.

Cairo Santos is Brazilian.

It would make more sense for the Bears to go in place of the Chiefs.

I survived several days in Rio just fine. I stayed in Copacabana and nobody tried to rob me*, and the beach was nice. The bikinis on the beach were underwhelming, but the world is facing an obesity crisis.

I saw a really cool library. Check out some images of the Portuguese Reading Room. That was well worth the Uber ride.

* In Santiago, they tried to rob me. But they didn't realize that I have a unique set of skills, mostly backing away and running.
