The amazing thing with Melendez is how little contact he makes, he swings and misses so much, it's incredible. Just swings through pitches constantly.

I'd honestly try and hit Melendez as a RH bat

yeah...I thought he might try a JD Martinez complete rebuild...but its still inefficient and broken.

Lorenzen doing a fine job so far. No score after 2 innings.

He battles pitch after pitch with runners 2nd and 3rd then pops out to the infield to end the inning.

He is a fine outfielder but we need some offense that he can't deliver.

Well, Lorenzen struggled a bit with 26 (?) pitches and 2 runs that inning.

I believe Lorenzen was left in too long. 97-98 pitches in your season debut isn't the way IMO. But the bats are quieter than usual so there's that.
