Plays nothing like his dad (who was a great contact hitter in his prime). Cavan just sort of stands at the plate and prays for walks. Occasionally he'll run into a fastball but that has happened less and less over his career.

The team is so analytical anymore and they switch so much even during the game, they don't worry me as much on their lineups.

Just got back from a trip to Arizona (pro tip: do not take the train) and went to a couple of spring training games. It was a great time. I'm hopeful the Royals can start out strong as their schedule is not friendly to start.

Every single year this team is destined to start some 30+ year old hunk of shit. Most of the time it's guys that never did a damn thing at the ML level, but at least Biggio had at least one decent year. Just try to forget that that one good season was about 5 years ago and with enough mental gymnastics you can find excitement in it.
