2 year 20 million? 15 of it guaranteed as well...

pugsnotdrugs19 03-11-2025 10:18 AM

Love it!

We are going HAM on DL this draft.

MahomesKnows 03-11-2025 10:18 AM

I like this. At worst, it's adding depth. He was a high pick though so maybe Spags and company get him to the next level.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-11-2025 10:19 AM

Trent back to the slot!

Jewish Rabbi 03-11-2025 10:19 AM

HELL ****ING YES

Jewish Rabbi 03-11-2025 10:19 AM

I always thought he was a giant piece of shit when he played for the Chargers but I think he has DPOY potential now!!

Deberg_1990 03-11-2025 10:21 AM

Seems like he was broke alot when he was a Titan

smithandrew051 03-11-2025 10:23 AM

LET’S ****!!!!

staylor26 03-11-2025 10:23 AM

He had a really good year last year after looking like a bust. This might be a steal.

KCUnited 03-11-2025 10:23 AM

Charles Woodson meets Thomas Aquinas

Gravedigger 03-11-2025 10:24 AM

Reinforce the lines in the draft, nab a young DB or two, a WR, TE for good measure and extend McDuffie = perfect offseason.

Titty Meat 03-11-2025 10:26 AM

**** yeah

Mr_Tomahawk 03-11-2025 10:28 AM

The morals of Thomas Aquinas, the ability of Charles Woodson.

What’s not to like?

RunKC 03-11-2025 10:34 AM

If you guys don’t remember this guy, he’s the one that picked Mahomes and Mahomes injured Rashee trying to tackle him. He’s also the one that got cooked by Worthy on that bomb TD the same game.

He’s a solid competent outside Corner. Veach does love his former 1st rd picks. 40th ranked CB on PFF. Only 26 years old.

I love it. Josh Williams is best as a depth emergency option and Nazeeh Johnson is not on my screen anymore.

St. Patty's Fire 03-11-2025 10:35 AM

wait this is awesome

tyreekthefreak 03-11-2025 10:35 AM

Sounds like he's always hurt...

Sassy Squatch 03-11-2025 10:35 AM

Fulton wasn't a first rounder? You thinking of Farley?

staylor26 03-11-2025 10:35 AM

The easiest way to make everybody love this trade?

Keeps Nadeem Johnson as depth.

Woogieman 03-11-2025 10:35 AM

Is he bumping Williams, or is he expected to play FT and get bump Trent back to slot? Watson/Fulton on the boundary could be as daunting as Moore/Suamataia on the blind side.

Woogieman 03-11-2025 10:37 AM

He will most certainly allow them to bump Trent inside on passing downs like they prefer.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-11-2025 10:38 AM

I really wanted Fulton coming out of the draft.

It also allows McDuffie to go to the slot again bc boy Conner really struggled there. Badly

I was going to say keeps Conner off the field too, but it might actually allow him to play FS. At worst I'd prefer him to be a backup there over ever being in the slot again.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-11-2025 10:39 AM

Duffy back in the slot is the best part here. Enough trying to find guys who can do it. That position is so valuable in the league today. Let him be the best at it.

smithandrew051 03-11-2025 10:40 AM

So most of the pressing needs are taken care of right?

Allows the draft to be heavy DL with a RB and OL prospect.

New World Order 03-11-2025 10:41 AM

I still want an edge.

Maybe bring Omenihu back

Monticore 03-11-2025 10:42 AM

With only 6 picks we need least amount of holes going into the draft to give us options , chances are we won’t be moving up so being able to take BPA at our spots will help.

staylor26 03-11-2025 10:43 AM

I don't want to hear this bullshit about the Chiefs being cheap ever again. Every other year at worst they're getting guys in the first wave of free agency.

Boxer_Chief 03-11-2025 10:51 AM

Re-sign omenihu, draft burden at 31 and a DL in the second then a rb with the thumbtacks pick and then go out and rape faces to the Super Bowl

Woogieman 03-11-2025 10:53 AM

He seems to be skilled and is a most often willing tackler and good blitzer. A little shorter than the prototype Chiefs CB target, but Moore has shorter arms...sometimes you have to make do with what is available. If he has been slower to develop due to injuries, this may be a great signing, as much for dominoes as anything. Getting McDuffie to the middle of the field is a plus, and returning Conner to a thin S group (where he belongs) is a plus.

Now go draft 2 DTs or a DT and a Hybrid!

If the Chiefs sign a player; as everyone knows, he is now a future Hall of Famer.

ThyKingdomCome15 03-11-2025 10:55 AM

When we won the SB back 2 back we were five deep at CB. We're approaching that now. Fulton plays the run better than both of them however.

Fulton is on the same or close to level as Williams and Watson, nothing more or less. That depth is valuable and I really hope you guys are right about McDuffie getting move back to the nickel.

All they do is build the roster as best they can each year WHILE not sacrificing any part of their future window. And look where it’s gotten them so far.

With this approach they can win 5 of the next 10 Super Bowls potentially.

If they spend like some say they must, they’ll feel it for a couple years in there. There’s zero reason to go all-in. Spread it out and see what happens.

Go cash crazy in Mahomes’ twilight years.

Burden lasting until 31 is good comedy lol.

Outside of Jones and George our DL is pedestrian on it's best day. It got exposed in the Super Bowl in horrible fashion. We need another good DT next to Jones in the worst way with Wharton gone at least one edge defender. Teams that have good OT's like the Bills and Eagles have all day to survey the secondary.

Nonsense.

The role he plays as the slot is immensely valuable.

He’s a much better version of Tyrann Mathieu in that role. Helps all phases of the game.

I cannot deny this point. I don't like it but it does make a lot of sense. If they do this it will make watching the draft a lot of fun.

Conclusion: No, but very interesting.

Need to get him done this offseason then bc the price was $21 million APY when he was drafted and now it’s $25 million.

In 2 years it’s gonna be $27 million.

Wisconsin_Chief 03-11-2025 11:46 AM

Interesting, was not expecting to see such a large amount of resources invested at corner but I don’t mind it at all. Guess they just really don’t like Josh Williams one little bit. Very nice and unexpected addition, such a great young secondary we’ll have next year. Excellent!

Exactly. The Vikings just handed Byron Murphy 22m per because he's one of the best slots in the NFL. They have insane value in today's game.

As for signing Fulton, this is a complete surprise and a really solid pickup.

Dunerdr 03-11-2025 11:53 AM

With the weakening of the safety room it makes sense to put 3 quality corners on the field. Let’s Hicks on the field to develop.

I'm probably in a minority, but I'd honestly rather spend money on a slight risk in Fulton over bringing Omenihu back. Perfectly happy to build from the back in FA and target DL in the draft.
