Report: Giants likely to acquire 1st overall pick from Titans

Multiple league sources left their meetings with the Giants this week thinking a trade for the No. 1 pick with the Tennessee Titans was likely. Oh man being a Giants fan must be torture
|
Can you be happy as a titans fan hearing this?
|
I expect Shedeur to somehow end up in Las Vegas...
|
They have no choice after missing out on Stafford. It's Cam Ward, or you're likely looking for a new job in 2026.

ive been telling every giants fan at my job that if i were them i’d punt on a QB this year and take Hunter
Glad they’re doing the exact opposite LMAO |
Don’t the Titans need a QB as well?

A loss to the Colts for the Giants in week 17 would have been cheaper in the long run.

If I were a Titans fan, I'd still be pissed we overpaid for Sneed. |

So mismanaged for decades. |
Massive grain of salt as it may just be nonsense on the internet but seen the offers as 1.1 for 1.3 and two 3rds, Titans said no, then Giants came back with 1.3, 2025 3rd, 2026 2nd, and Thibedeoux for 1.1 and Landry.
|
Titans move down two spots and will at least another first round next year more than likely

Colossal mistake.

It’s gotta be painful being a fan of the Giants right now. Watching Saquon win a Super Bowl with your rival because your leaders elected to stupidly pay Daniel Jones and stick with him, be bad, but not bad enough to get one of the top three quarterbacks in last year’s class and watch one of your other rivals get the best rookie quarterback because they sucked just a little more than you did. Sheesh |
Yall better put some respect on Cam Ward's name.

i feel like if that second offer was made that the trade would already be done tho |

Apparently the Giants learned nothing from the Daniel Jones shitshow, and are going to dive head-first into another QB shitshow. They're even going to give up draft capital for the privilege. LMAO
|

It could also be ownership pushing this. Some of these NFL owners are hands-on and want a specific QB drafted. |
Quote:
I don't think it's Mahomes, per se... but just that Ward is the clear one-one of the QB class with a big drop off after him. Dabol and Schone are in the hopper, they are going sign a vet AND draft a rookie and hope it's enough to save their jobs. |
With Malik Nabers on my fantasy team, I'm really hoping Cam Ward can at least be an upgrade over Daniel Jones and the other jokers they've been rolling out in New York.
|
Considering how good Daboll was in developing Allen I think this is a worthwhile gamble.

I watched Chicago do it over and over while living up there. It was always a choice to get their fan base fired up in the off season. I imagine NY Giants are no different. |

Cam Ward has that alpha/it factor.
Natural leader of men, whatever cliche descriptor you want to use. |

All these projected first round quarterbacks look like busts to me.

Ward kind of reminds me of Jameis Winston if Jameis Winston had his head screwed on straight
|
People that were talking shit about Reid, Mahomes, and Super Bowl ass kicking need to read this article over and over.

I care about Elijah Arroyo who looks good but might be a broke dick unfortunately |
I'll pass on any QB who sits out half of a bowl game.
|
Quote:
He didn't even have to play in the game to begin with, but he chose to anyways. You wanted him to risk getting hurt and being the #1 overall pick for what exactly? Ward is so far from that guy that doesn't give a shit about his teammates/winning, or whatever else you're trying to imply here. That's Sanders. Not Ward. |

What a shit show

Not saying it's Okay, but obviously Baltimore didn't hold it against him in the long run. I don't think NFL teams in 2025 are going to punish NCAA players for sitting out bowl games. That's become a common practice now for players to make these business decisions. |
Quote:
And he didn’t have to play at all. Greg Cooper, a RB at Miami, had his football career end in that same meaningless bowl game when he tore up his knee. Even with the injury insurance, Cam as a likely top 5 pick had no reason to risk playing in a meaningless bowl game. |

Anybody trying to make a big deal out of that is very out of touch. Whatever you think that means about him or his chaeacter, you're wrong. |

A real competitor would have insisted on being on the field with his teammates. |

Ive been watching Cam Ward for a few years and he may or may not have success but he has continuously gotten better every year. He doesnt get rattled and seems very cool between the ears no matter the situation. He has a high ceiling potential |

Draft him at 1.1 and enjoy. LMAO |

It's the ultimate nothingburger, and there's a reason nobody is brining it up in the draft discourse. |

Yeah, I expected Cam Ward to go #1 for a while now.
|
Watch 3 years from now Sanders is pretty good and Ward is just OK with some other later drafted QB being the best of the class.
No telling how these QB's will pan out. |

OTC wrote an article about this scenario and the expected compensation based on historical trades for top QBs (always overpay the trade charts). They said to expect #3, #34 and a 2026 1st and 3rd for the move to #1.
I think Tennessee should take the shot on Ward themselves, but I can see if they don't. Next year's class is far better, and the overall capital to rebuild that roster will be really handy. Trading from #1 to #3 still nets them either Carter or Hunter. I don't see them trading to #7 with the Jets and not guaranteeing themselves the "generational prospect" that Borgonzi alluded to. |
Great Arm, Poise. Instinctive.
I can see some Big Ben/Justin Herbert , but smaller. Has the athletic profile of Geno. |
If you think he's the guy, do it. What ****ed that team was paying Danny when they knew he was middling at best. Don't ever pay a QB unless he's top 5 or has POTENTIAL to get there. Anything else just destroys your team.
|

He thought of Daniel Jones as his son. |
Quote:
|
Ahh man I really hoped they would do sometimes monumentally stupid and sign Rodgers
|
That is the plan if they can't complete the trade.
