It is very possibly the worst offensive basketball I've ever seen. It was almost impossibly bad.

Yeah. Seemed like the play clock was at 5 seconds on every possession. They had something like 3 shots in 5 possessions right at the buzzer at one point. It was rough.

Yeah they went super ****ing conservative and almost lost the game because of it. They stopped running a real offense and instead of driving to the basket they ran clock and chucked up bricks. They would have destroyed them if they kept up what they were doing. Josh Gray owned Hunter Dickinson that game. Such an awesome game.

I was shocked at how soft Dickinson is. I guess I haven't really watched him much since he was at Michigan.

Yeah plus he honestly acted like a little bitch. I could see myself hating this mofo if we were still in the same conference. The guy is 7'2" but is weak as hell. He was absolutely shut down against Creighton and Mizzou by players he should be dominating. He's soft as hell.

A big part of that stretch was played without Ankle Bully and Bates on the floor. Those are the guys that need to have the ball in their hands when it's the end of the clock and they need to make a play/shot.

Yeah - gameday coaching was good. They had a TON of good looks down the stretch and didn't hit 'em. They had FT opportunities and didn't hit THEM.

Mizzou should've won that game but didn't make their shots. That's not coaching.

I really like how this team plays. Drives to the basket and doesn't settle for shitty jump shots or jack up 3 after 3.

It'll be nice when Caleb Grill gets back to 100%. He's a big time scorer and it's nice to have multiple people on the team that can score boat loads of points.

Heard on ESPN that the current SEC conference might be the best basketball conference in history. Early returns proves this to be correct. Saw early bracketolgy that 13 SEC teams will make the tournament, Mizzou wasn’t one of them. Hope we don’t fire Gates before we need to.

It's kind of crazy how little respect this team has gotten. They're 12-3 with a win against a top 10 team and their losses came against teams currently ranked 2nd, 13th, and 19th.

With 11 newcomers gates is putting together a really good roster. I just hope it’s not too little against the rest of the SEC. We effectively beat the dog shit out of LSU. Tomorrow v Vanderbilt will I think give us a better picture.

Auburn was an embarrassment.
Illinois was a fair loss, we were in the game.
Should have beat Memphis but we didn’t. Fair play to them.

I think it's mostly preemptive voting.

I don't think Mizzou is as good as their resume right now (though I do think they're a solid team) and I think voters kinda expect them to struggle in conference play.

So rather move them up to just knock them down they just aren't moving them.

And yes, the SEC is brutal. Could well be historically great.

We really missed our window during the SECs down period. We took advantage of it by hiring Kermit ****ing Anderson and then settling for mediocrity in Cuonzo.

Mizzou had a real shot to establish themself near the top of this conference and just fiddle-****ed around until the football schools decided "hey, why ARENT we actually trying in basketball? We have more money than we can reasonably spend..."

To even be in the top half of the SEC this season might require one of the 15 best teams in the programs history. That's how god-awful brutal this conference is.

I'd say this team is quite a bit better than Gates first year here. That team lived and died by the three. This team is much better at taking it to the basket, drawing fouls, and rebounding. This might be the best team Missouri team since they've entered the SEC. They should be ranked.

How often does the 70th ranked defense make the Final Four? Almost never. Team looking alot better than last year though. Mitchell was a good get.

I worry that come selection Sunday, the Illinois loss is gonna hurt real bad.

I hate that we let that one (and Memphis) slip away from us. Those should've been wins.
