Why on Earth is he on the field and not Perine? The guy deservedly got screamed at by Mahomes today bc he kept missing blocks.

Kingsley was bad but my God was Steele ****ing horrific. Broncos kept A gap bltizing and Steele kept misreading it.

How the hell did this guy not even attempt to chip multiple times when he was clearly instructed to by the playcall?

It was a nice story, but yeah, I can't defend his play this season. Between the fumbles and the missed blocks he's been bad.

At one point when Steele returned that kickoff, I was expecting a fumble. Thankfully he held on to it. But in a close game, it was a nervous moment.

There's a reason for that. He kept ****ing up his blocking assignments and got the hook.

He's pretty much a special teams/practice squad player. He doesn't deserve any meaningful carries.

Hunt has been a blessing for this team.

I mean, he was basically insignificant today. I'd be more interested in talking about Nagy/Andy not playing Perine more. Or why we weren't running more quick hitters. Or why we didn't target DHop more than 5 times. Or just about anything other than our RB3.

Kingsley struggled badly but that big hit on Patrick in the 2nd half was on Steele. There’s a reason Mahomes screamed at him.

DE was a speed rusher that lined up so far outside he could have been in the damn slot. Any LT couldn’t cover that angle.

I watched that play again and pre-snap Mahomes made a call for Steele to chip and he just didn’t. And Mahomes got smoked bc of it.

He needs to be benched.

I can’t wait for Pacheco to get back. He and Hunt will be a great combo!

Hope Pacheco is back in 2 weeks and Carson is done.

Here’s the play Mahomes screamed at Steele. Mahomes sees their speed rusher lined up extremely far outside. He know Kingsley as well as no LT can get that angle so he motions to have Steele come to the left to block the DE.

Steele instead runs to the flat to the other side of the field in the flat and gets Mahomes killed.

He's been playing full back and doing a lot of lead blocking. Especially in the redzone for Hunt. He had a bad game yes but let's not go over the top. Rookies make mistakes. It happens.

I'll never learn to not get excited over impressive preseason play and training camp darlings.

There's still hope he could develop into an acceptable fullback as long as he learns how the pass block properly and know what Mahomes wants him to do. Or maybe he won't be on the team next year

He’s awful. Should be exclusively used on STs.

He's pretty bad. Not sure what folks were expecting, though, with a UDFA rookie fullback. Perine is fine (albeit otherworldly SLOW), but we need a good speed back in the worst way, IMO.

I think CEH is having mental health issues. CEH is not good anyway. Andy and the chiefs are trying to take care of him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t see the field this year.

I have no clue why he's getting snaps. Literally everything he does except have great hair, I like Perine better. I dunno, does Steele do punt coverage? Maybe punt coverage.

I think Perine should be shouldering some of the load from Hunt too.

Maybe I'm just too high on Perine, but I don't think I'm too low on Steele. Doesn't catch the ball especially well, isn't fast, and doesn't run any harder than Perine, just does so with less vision.

I’ve talked about this for years. It’s like we’re using regular season games to scout players.

His inability to pick up pass protection should have been evident in scrimmages

I noticed that live and couldn't believe wtf I was seeing LOL. So it was real!

Hopefully with Pacheco back on Sunday this Carson Steele experiment will end.
