This sucks.

Prayers for quick recovery

Pasta Little Brioni 09-29-2024 02:52 PM

Very sad now regardless of the outcome of the game

chiefzilla1501 09-29-2024 02:53 PM

Yeah that looks like a hyperextension

It doesn’t look great but I feel like this is the type of injury that isn’t going to sideline him for too too long

Will wait to see what the twitter tard doctors have to say

BuckeyeTheDog 09-29-2024 03:00 PM

I will be happy if it is “just” a hyperextension.

My suspicion is worse.

BuckeyeTheDog 09-29-2024 03:01 PM

“Out” for the game.

no other news.

This is the best we can hope for. Crossing my fingers for no structural damage.

Titty Meat 09-29-2024 03:03 PM

Has that Chinese doctor on Twitter made a post about this? That guy's always diagnosing player injuries without seeing x-rays

wasi 09-29-2024 03:04 PM

I dunno but I am getting flashbacks to the Justin Houston injury which was a long term one

suzzer99 09-29-2024 03:05 PM

Can Rashee serve his suspension now?

ptlyon 09-29-2024 03:06 PM

Rub some dirt on it, slap some bubble gum on it, and put it in a knee brace and he'll be back out there in a jif.

The issue is getting the dirt.

ACL

smithandrew051 09-29-2024 03:11 PM

Posted this in the GDT, but Mahomes needs to just jog off the field on turnovers.

Nothing good will come from him getting involved in this.

Only exception would be the Super Bowl. That’s it.

TheGuardian 09-29-2024 03:25 PM

I said in the GDT that it might not be as bad as first expected. Since the tibia didn't rotate as the knee went back it's possible it's not the ACL

Exactly

Out till after the bye, likely.

New World Order 09-29-2024 03:29 PM

We gotta get some points here!!!

xztop123 09-29-2024 03:44 PM

Rashee rice had his hands over his head leaving indicating it’s an ACL. He looked more annoyed than hurt. He was trying to walk it off on the side line

scho63 09-29-2024 03:52 PM

Year of the injuries.

Rasputin 09-29-2024 03:53 PM

Andy Reid said "not good" :(

louie aguiar 09-29-2024 03:54 PM

Andy basically confirming that Rice had a major injury “it’s not good”

TEX 09-29-2024 03:54 PM

Reid just said that he doesn't know thevextent of the injury, but he said,"It's NOT good."

Sassy Squatch 09-29-2024 03:54 PM

Welp. Kind of sucks that's the last we'll see of him for well over a year.

milkshock 09-29-2024 03:57 PM

Well if he’s gone for the season at least the decision to trade or get a FA is made for us

Just resign yourself to the fact that "it's not good" means we wont be seeing him on the field for a protracted amount of time and move on.

lcarus 09-29-2024 03:58 PM

That was a costly interception...

Pitt Gorilla 09-29-2024 03:58 PM

I mean, it wasn't exactly difficult to tell that he hurt it pretty significantly.

KC Hawks 09-29-2024 03:59 PM

Our top two receivers get hurt on a routine tackle on the first play in preseason and our QB running into the other one's knee after an interception. Unbelievable.

Straight, No Chaser 09-29-2024 04:02 PM

Mecole Hardman come on down! Your the next man up!!!

Cheater5 09-29-2024 04:04 PM

This will give an unsung player who is waiting in the shadows an opportunity to step up.

The greater the glory, my friends. Just watch what they do now.

The Chiefs are winning this game and will find new pathways to success. Get on board, fools.

TinyEvel 09-29-2024 04:05 PM

Hate to say this but watching it again it looks like compound fracture of the tibia and fibula.

When Mahomes hit him his leg bent back but doesn’t look like the bend point is the knee. Looks below the knee.
And he immediately grabs his calf as if to move it into place.

He went to X-ray and they immediately said out.

Reid at the half saying “its not good”

I hope I’m wrong but man.

Maybe it’s a crack or he only broke one. Both Brooke it would’ve folded completely and we’d all be cleaning our carpets right now.

I thought this fear was pretty obvious given the way he was led off the field and the way Reid - who notoriously never gives up more than is necessary - addressed it at the half in those sideline interviews.

It’s a huge loss and really alters the trajectory of the season.

UChieffyBugger 09-29-2024 06:06 PM

Reports were saying Jordan Love could have an ACL too and he missed a bullet. Hopefully Rashee can have similar luck but I'm not betting on it.

Yeah because in most cases the trainers can feel it snapped and the MRI is just to confirm and diagnose the severity.

DanBecky 09-29-2024 06:08 PM

I’d rather be 1-3 than lose Rashee. The injury bug is gonna be hard to overcome this year. We’re gonna see what these guys are made of.

Yeah I'd definitely trade the win today to have Rice back. The team can survive losing Hollywood Brown but losing both Hollywood and Rashee is gonna be tough.

crazycoffey 09-29-2024 06:12 PM

Time to bring back Dieter

Kman34 09-29-2024 06:13 PM

A meniscus tear could be what it is.. Just a guess.. They can clean it up and hopefully back in 4 to 6 weeks.. Depends on swelling when they can fix it.. Just a guess like everyone else..

KCUnited 09-29-2024 06:14 PM

His lawyer should move the trial up to this week
