Eh, Ramirez hit a pitcher's pitch because he's really good. Got an unlucky HBP. And a miscue in left. Only two hits. Not an ideal pitch count, but he looks fine so far.

Arguably the best group of young hitters we've ever had all in their prime at the same time and absolutely jackshit for pitching. That outfield was nuts. Damon, Beltran and Dye.

Barely got to see that group together as it was so fleeting. What a waste. And we got virtually nothing back in trading all three of those outfielders away. That trust and the early Glass ownership years were sooooo painful.

Yeah, Sweeney could ****ing rake with the best of them until back injuries wrecked his career and he became a whipping boy due to his contract and catholic faith.

My one and only visit to Cleveland was for a pair of Royals games that summer in 2000, while I was in high school. Royals took both games of the two-game series, and scored double digit runs in both. Cleveland still had their loaded squad with Kenny Lofton, Roberto Alomar, Manny Ramírez, etc. But they couldn't overcome Mac Suzuki and Jeff Suppan!

Along the roadtrip into Cleveland, we took in a Columbus Clippers game featuring Yankees farmhand Alfonso Soriano.
