Andy isn't having his best year

Out of this whole season the biggest surprise is easily Andy. We know Big Red's teams have more penalties than usual but it's seriously out of control. Jawaan Taylor's false starts, Toney lining up incorrectly. Blocking designs. Playcalling was very bland before the bye. Not even withstanding that, the WR's don't know where to go downfield. It's bizarre. And it's happened with Skyy, Watson and MVS.

I've never seen an Andy Reid team make so many mistakes before. It's truly crazy. And last years staff did such an incredible job but it's flipped. Creed and Trey were rocks last year and suddenly this year they're worse. They're committing more penalties and not making blocks as clean as they should.

People can point their finger at Brett Veach about Toney and Skyy but Andy was right there with Brett at the combine singing that same tune. We know he runs the team. He made those decisions in lock step with Brett.

And now he's blaming refs. He's clearly frustrated. He's exhausted everything and it's getting him nowhere.

Still the best Chiefs coach ever but it feels like they made a deal with the devil last year and now he's come to collect.

Losing Eric B. was a much bigger loss than anyone realized.

Honestly, the 2016-2017 Alex Smith offenses had this problem but it was easy to look at those things in the rear view once Patrick took over.

Throughout Alex’s career we were always due for one drive destroying delay of game penalty or second half timeout at the worst possible time.

The last two weeks have sealed the deal for this argument.

I've never seen such an undisciplined Chiefs team.

We do stupid things that we had buttoned up during the Alex Smith years, that allowed him to be mid as **** and still score more points than this team.

No one is scared of getting their ass ripped by the coaching staff and it shows.

This team needs the hard ass that EB was.

Andy keeps harping on cleaning up “turnovers and penalties” every week and to no avail.

Told you all we would miss EB but people wanted to see him go for whatever reason

ThaVirus 12-10-2023 08:07 PM

Players play.

Andy is doing fine. These players are dipshits.

Pablo 12-10-2023 08:08 PM

So when the Skins overhaul their staff and don’t hand EB the job should we be begging his mean ass to come back?

jerryaldini 12-10-2023 08:08 PM

Man EB would've been losing it on the sidelines this year.

The receiver part of the equation is what baffles me. Not just the obvious shit like the terrible drops, but the fact that they seemingly can't get in the right positions or run the correct routes or not be on the same page as Mahomes week after week. We must have a room full of guys that just absolutely nail it in practice and get the yips all over the place when the heat is on. It was the last thing I expected to see out of this offense this season.

The players are the main culprits, for sure, but you can't completely absolve Andy. Hell, even his decisions on punt vs FG this season have been very suspect - how many times have we punted well past the 50 yard line? Just tonight, passed up a ~56yd FG, which is well within Butker's range. Those 3 points would have been huge.

This is, for sure, very frustrating.

Andy is a traditionalist, though. Always has been. I’ve come to expect it at this point.
