I went in and DVRd some games that interest me based entirely on my dynasty rookie draft that already took place and before I knew it I had like 12 games scheduled to record.

Football is BACK, baby.

I'm interested if Cedric Tillman gets some catches tonight.

I don't think it's anything to freak out about because it's just training camp but definitely something to take note of.

Celebrate Malik Herring? C'mon man.

How dare you?! I'll have you know that according to his wiki, in 2018 Malik won Georgia's "Most Improved Player" award. That's right, we're talking about a certified MIP! This is what he does! Can't blame FAU for that.

I try not to take a whole lot away from Camp info - either good or bad. That said, I see no way, at this point, that you can really glean enough pertinent news that would give you any sort of info about how our WR Corp is lining up for the season. That seems like a significant overreach to me.

McKinnon and Kelce were nearly as good as any WR duo in the league last year, and Mahomes is still QB1. The WR group will be fine.

Since we have Toney under contract longer, I certainly don't want to get rid of him but hypothetically IF every WR was on a 1-year deal I'd honestly consider waiving Toney from this group.

Pay him. Walk on Creed to save money. Pick one of Bolton or Sneed to resign (probably Bolton).

I'd like to sign everyone but you have to pick and choose. We will have more windows but our window is right now with Kelce on the tail end of his career. We need Jones on this roster the next 2-3 years.

I'm going to be honest, walking on a 25 year old center to pay a 30 year old DT bank breaking money doesn't seem wise.

With how this regime has drafted and developed centers......

RunKC 08-03-2023 11:31 AM

The top paid C (Jason Kelce) makes just north of $14 million APY. Creed should be the easiest one to sign. It's such an undervalued position in terms of pay.

I'd gladly play $14.5 million APY for Creed Humphrey and I'm sure Veach feels the same way

This team can operate just fine with an average center. Having the best center in the game on a passing offense that doesn't power run the ball is simply a luxury. Chris Jones is needed and the difference between him an an avg player of his position is much, much of a bigger deal.

We walked from Hudson - right decision.
We walked from Morse - also the right decision.

Yea and that right there is the issue, giving a huge contract to someone his age basically means you pay for what he has already done not what he is going to give you going forward.

James, Rice and Ross look like DAWGS

I had an idea James would be good based on how he looked last season, but if I'd known Rice and Ross were going to look this good early I wouldn't have been banging the DHop drum nearly as loudly as I did.

Damn. Outside of ST's and fullback, C's are getting paid less than any other position group on the field.

Yes RB's make more than C's at the top.

Do you really think they can't win without him?

They aren't the worst defense in the league.

That's because they aren't as important in an ever increasing passing league. And they definitely aren't as important if you have a intelligent QB who is mobile. There is no reason the Chiefs should ever want to pay the best Center in the league. It's simply a waste of money when it can be allocated on resources else where that will better improve the team.

Do we think CJ falls off in the next 3 years?

They can but Chris ****ing Jones is 10x more important than a ****ing center. And it's a HELLUVA alot easier with Chris Jones. We certainly don't have 2 super bowls without Chris Jones.

Do I think a DT who is primarily a pass rusher will not be an elite player when he's 34..yea he probably won't be.

It also isn't the best sign that his 2 by far most productive years were contract years.

They could theoretically win without any player not named Pat Mahomes....but yeah take away Jones and Kelce and it's gonna get alot tougher.

True.

But if we're going by that, it's probably time to start thinking about moving Kelce.

Looks like Rice had a step or two for the TD too.

They aren't important till you play a team with a great interior that puts your center in your QB's lap every play and he can't step into the pocket.
