Love ya buddy! Cheers!

I like to think we all make that Utah-loving sack o crap happy.
shout out to him, too. Wherever the particles that comprised his being are now. |
To praise those still present:
I like to think of Chiefsplanet as being better than the average message board. More in depth. Capable of analysis beyond "My team good hurr durr." And the folks cited here are a big part of that. |
Hell yeah, bud. I like to think we’re the more respectful side of CP. The opposite DC.
|
Back at you kccrow! :toast:
And the rest of the list too! |
You’re the real MVP, but appreciate it man.
That’s a group that isn’t afraid of being wrong and has their opinion stamped on almost every move this franchise has made in the modern era. Kudos |

Right on brotha! This is draft forum is my #1 most visited webpage lol
I'm addicted to progress, and back in the dark days draft day was our best shot at improving! Cheers! |
Crow, you missed a name! "Kccrow" needs to be near the top of that list!
|
My dawgs!
|
If you slide into my DM's, I'm sure we could find a truck stop bathroom to meet up in and congratulate each other ifyouknowwhatimeanandithinkyoudo
|
Still feel like a newbie so thanks for making me welcome man!
|
Honored to be mentioned amongst such a list! Appreciate all your input Crow. This really is the best place to talk football and I love being part of it.
|
It all hinges on me, naturally
|
Crow is the man! Good times on cp! I always enjoy the analysis!

I don't think I have that much additional insight.
I do believe that Caleb Williams will be a bust because USC QB. |
I certainly appreciate the actual football discussion!
|
Appreciate the inclusion, but other than the production per unit salary cap hill I die on, I contribute nothing.
I do read a lot here though, and I certainly appreciate the input of guys that know what they’re talking about here. I tried to look at the chiefs subreddit and it is fairly bullshit. I honestly appreciate the community here. Keep up the good work guys. |

Thanks crow!! I’d like to think I bring the art of sarcasm to this board and really enjoy your takes, along with all my other CP brother-n.
/just waiting for my name to show up…….. |
Next year I want to have a thread where we all detail what/how we are prepping as it leads up to the draft.
Last year we had a thread about what sort of tasks y’all do as you research and stuff, and I found that helpful. Next year would be cool to share progress as it happens: “Today I looked at “x” position for an hour,” or “I read so-and-so’s article today about who should go where.” I just think it would be cool to see how you guys all do it, as you do it. |
Thanks Crow! Right back at ya.
Appreciate all the wisdom and knowledge you drop on this board! |
This has been one of the better draft seasons on this forum.
Thankful for the forum, for the yeoman's work kccrow does, and the fun conversation the rest of us have. |
Crow, you are the conductor on this hype train. Appreciate you
|
Appreciate everyone's insights and takes in here! You blockheads combines are generally as accurate or more than the paid talking heads out there.
I know football somewhat, but I'm novice level compared to the minds in here (minus Pestilence. He's just a Notre Dame honk. Lol). |

Appreciate the feedback guys but I really just wanted to recognize the guys I believe bring a lot to the forum consistently and also don't act like gigantic dicks (all of the time) to do it.
There are some more posters I don't lack respect for or anything like that but I feel like this is the group that's consistent about discussing the things I think the board was meant for. So I guess that's the thing for me. 1) Don't be a dick 2) Talk a lot about football 3) If you can't do #2 at least bring some depth of insight in other areas without violating #1. |
Damn appreciate making the list but I don't feel like I belong as much as others. Some years I have more time to really dig deep into the draft and others I rely a lot on what people on this list bring up in here. This used to be my favorite time of the year because I actually got excited to see who we were drafting, now its my 2nd favorite time of the year after winning super bowls. Crazy how far we have come.

Honored and appreciated. And the feeling's mutual for everyone on the list. The arguments/conversations you guys take part in are exactly why I joined in the first place. Thanks to all for making CP a place I want to visit. Sometimes too much, but that's a different story.
|
Yeah I respect a lot of the time and effort many of you put into this. Talking football is a nice break from the shit show that is society.
Even if we disagree it makes for good banter. Nice post kccrow. |
Thanks for putting in the work on these players and sharing.

The sad thing is the draft forum is about to hit hibernation again. I’m going to try to be more active in here this year but it sure slows down.

Thats a pretty good list!
|
Appreciate ya!
Better than any shit show on TeeVee! |
I'm just upset at the intimation that I don't act like a gigantic dick all the time.
I need to try harder... |

I always remember how much the vast majority of the board hated the draft talk when the team was terrible.

I mean Peterson sucked but he picked like he didn't even try. |

It became apparent to me that, even if they don't always execute the plan the same way I would, this front office shared an identical philosophy to me and man, that makes things so much easier. I contrast them to the Blues who simply don't share my philosphy on hockey - but y'know, they won a Cup with this 'sandpaper' shit that Armstrong and Berube love. Still means that I'm gonna be less content with anything they do, though. Even when hindsight says they executed their plan perfectly. Then there are the Cardinals, who neither share my philosophy nor are they particularly good at executing their own. But yeah - just having an organization that you are on the same page with is nice. My buddy is a die hard '3 yards and a cloud of dust' guy and he just wrings his hand over some of this stuff much in the same way as I used to do under Herm and Pioli. Because even when they get it right - you hate what they're building either way. |
Quote:
Doesn't stop me from criticizing and talking about it, but that's the general sense I get. Like: if the Chiefs take a tackle in the first round this year, I think it's a mistake. But it means Reid sees something, and I'm good with that. |

Even a pick I didn't like - Moore - is one that demonstrated a plan that I absolutely loved. Using the draft to build a deep, talented, cost-controlled WR corps in an era where WR contracts seem likely to explode to untenable levels. It was a great plan and even when I didn't agree with the execution of it, it at least provides some comfort knowing that the plan is sound and they'll keep at it - sooner or later they'll get it right. |

Nice, I wasn't on him at all. |
Thanks again, guys.
I'm checking out for a while or until the mods do something about all the trolls and complete assholes, whichever I feel is best. I think staylor, boss and direckshun know where I'll be. Peace. |

Take a break though. It's pretty ****ing dead and pointless from now until camp anyways. I'll probably be checking out here or there until it ramps back up again. Awesome job again on all of your breakdowns. |

Thanks Crow it was alot of fun talking prospects & at times debating disagreements on a player.
Let's do it again next year yeah? |
Thanks again Crow, I've enjoyed the last few weeks here of hearing people's thoughts on prospects. Especially ones I'd never heard of, lots of which you'd brought to my attention.
|
:(
|
Hey man thanks but you keep us in the know when it comes to college players and the draft. It is much appreciated.
|
I imagine that he also reached out to a few others here - but Crow has made the decision to permanently retire from Chiefs Planet. I personally will greatly miss his contributions to the draft forum and other areas of this site.
I don't know any of the background/story on the ongoing curfufel that led to this - so I have no thoughts or context to add related to that. |

Man, that's a real bummer....he brought so much insight to the board.
|
what's with the cockgobbler thing?
|
That sucks.
|
Damn. I hope crow comes back when draft season starts picking up.
But yeah, there are definitely some assholes on the main board that I could see running people off. Some of them make it hard to want to share insight/info/effort. |
Let's not sugarcoat things.
He said some pretty reeruned shit and continously doubled, tripled and quadrupled down on it instead of just saying oh **** yeah whoops. If being right on the Internet is that important well than yeah he probably should retire from the Internet. Nothing personal against the dude. He just took himself way too seriously. |

DC is aids tea.
The context was more along the lines up "Andy Heck developed nobody" along with other random bizarro shit. |

Dude was never disrespectful unless dissed first and is/was an important piece to our draft conversation. I've made my feelings known on how i feel about posters leaving over minor drama and Kccrow is no exception to that. But dude feels how he feels, whatcha gonna do. It felt like more posters joined the conversation this year than ever before and Kccrow, at times, seemed a bit uptight and defensive, and at times, looked like he was out to prove something. I don't mean that in any disrespectful way, if you're reading this, crow. Just an observation. This year felt a little different. Hopefully life is being good to you. I'd just hate to see you go out like that. |
Quote:
But yeah, the bolded was a chore. He's done that a LOT over the last several years and it was just really strange to me. But hey, we don't know what we don't know. There's presumptively some underlying cause for all that and I won't bother attempting to get into it. But it's...different. Best I can figure is it's largely a 'I put effort into trying to make solid, informative posts and get 3 drive-by idiots offering nothing in response - why bother?' sort of thing. And I've thought it a time or two myself. But really, the overwhelming majority of discourse with Crow was from folks who are usually similarly informed and willing to discuss these things. But he'd still get pretty wound up just about every draft season for one reason or another. |

I know he was going through some personal shit I hope that gets better for him and hopefully he will be back. He put alot of effort into his draft takes and even our disagreements were pleasant Hendon Hooker comes to mind
|
What a shame. Seems at least a bit self inflicted, though. He went REALLY hard on trolling that Araiza thread.
