2023 HOF Finalists
Nice to see Jared and Albert nominated.
Think J. Thomas, Revis, Freeney, Barber and Holt get in. Maybe Woodson. Quote:

I would think Hester gets in best return man to ever do it
|
That's a pretty solid list.
|
Patrick Willis was good jesus
|
This is Albert's last chance before he drops into the old-timer's pool. I hope the voters recognize that and vote him in.
I think the ones who SHOULD go in are: Albert Lewis Torry Holt Darrelle Revis Joe Thomas Ronde Barber Devin Hester and Jared Allen are close behind. The ones who WILL go in are: Albert Lewis Jared Allen Darrelle Revis Joe Thomas Reggie Wayne |
Wasn't Zach Thomas like a 7 time (All Pro or second team all pro)? How is he not in at this point...when you are the first or second best player in the league at your position for 7 years?
5× First-team All-Pro (1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2006) 2× Second-team All-Pro (2001, 2005) 7× Pro Bowl (1999–2003, 2005, 2006) 2× NFL Alumni Linebacker of the Year (1998, 2006) 2× NFL tackles leader (2002, 2006) NFL 2000s All-Decade Team PFWA All-Rookie Team (1996) |
there's no way i'm putting reggie wayne in the HOF before torry holt

I loved Patrick Willis but I am not sure he can get into the HoF. He played 7.5 years, of which 6-7 were beastly for sure.
He led the league twice in tackles in those 7 years.. He made the pro bowl all 7 years he played full seasons. 3 playoff seasons (11, 12, 13) but no ring. Great player for sure. HoF ? I dunno... Is that enough?? |

Ronde barber?
Seems more of a hall of very good type player. But I’m older now and can’t remember shit so who knows |
Albert Lewis is one of the most underrated players ever. All Pro corner and the best punt blocker in football history.

7 years selected to pro bowl 5 time AP All pro Played 13 years and didnt miss much time, and was an absolute beast till the end had damn near 100 tackles his last season Unfortunately for him he didnt see the playoffs for the last 8 years he played and miami was bounced out of the 1st or second round 5 years in a row when he was young 1997-2001 He has a better chance than willis, IMO |

5 Pro Bowls, 1 DPOY he's in |

he also played like 16 years and never missed games its insane what an iron man he was 2002 - 2 picks and 10 batted balls in the playoffs ...with a pick 6 (and a superbowl ring) i agree - he's in for sure |
12 TD is insane for a defensive player

Zach had 1,100 Solo Tackles and Derek had 532 Solo Tackles Zach had 627 Assists and Derek had 110 Assists Zach All Pro 5 Times and Derek All Pro 3 Times... And who deserves in again? |

Torry should have been in years ago. He's the last of the GSOT that hasn't gotten in. Wayne gets in next year.

What's being lost here is Thomas really wasn't a classic LB. He was a pass rusher. He had 126 sacks in 11 years. That's 11 sacks per year average. How many LB's have that average?
His life was cut short so he probably would have had like 150 for sure. How many LB's averaged 11 sacks for career? Not even Lawrence Taylor but it's close and he played 13. No DC was game planning for sorry ass Zach Taylor but there sure as hell were for Thomas. |

One was a pass rushing OLB/DE, the other was an off-ball linebacker. Now STFU and STFD. |

Holt, 4 badass years with the greatest show on turf. Barber, 4-5 seasons were he was maybe top 2-3 at his position. Revis, legit lockdown corner for 4-5 seasons. Flamed out very quickly after that. These folks seem worthy Joe Thomas Jared Allen Devin Hester Patrick Willis Albert Lewis-he was just a little before my time. I think I remember him blocking a punt in the playoffs against the Steelers. Him, Dale Carter and James Hasty. And that Cherry guy(?) We've had some solid corners here in KC |

Joe Thomas
Darrelle Revis DeMarcus Ware Torry Holt Darren Woodson That would be my guess.. |
Jesus take the wheel we got a live one

He racked up some insane stats over the years. He's also top 10 all-time in tackles. In fact, he's the only DB in the top 10. He played on an all-time great defense and won a Super Bowl as well so the accolades are there. |
This is bullshit!
I don't see a Damar Hamlin option on this list! |

Joe Thomas and Revis should make it in. The rest is pretty close, my 3rd choice would probably be Willis.
