Kadarius shows a lot of intelligence with his answers to the football-related questions. And a great work ethic. Think Veach was onto something with this kid. |
Does this dude shave his eyebrows and rip out his eyelashes? Dude could give Art a run for his money for the Terrifier 3 lead role.
|
I love this kid.
What a marvelous weirdo. |
New nickname: marvelous weirdo
****ing love him |

Just about 100yds from scrimmage and a tud.
I'll take that every wk. Kind of what we'd all like Hardman to be. Toney's ceiling appears to be higher. |
He has already replaced Hill in my heart.
|
Just wait until the underneath crossing pattern opens up and he houses it.
|
He's kind of a slightly less thick Deebo Samuel with the ball in his hands.
He's not quite Tyreek explosive (no shit, no one is) but just get the guy the ball. |
I don't see that comparison at all.
Deebo is solid and plays like a RB. Toney may be tough but he's definitely more of a finesse guy. |

He's got some quarks or whatever, but I think he's just excited to show what he can do.

5th option? Holy shit MVPat is good.
“In the red zone three plays later, Mahomes revealed that the Jaguars covered his first four reads. What about the fifth and final option? “I actually heard him as the route was going on, going, ‘HEY!’” Mahomes said of Toney. “That helped me out a little bit. I looked over, and he’s wide open.” Toney, a dynamic second-year player, was supposed to be the play’s decoy. After motioning across the formation, he slid into the flat. But nobody picked him up. Toney caught Mahomes’ short and easy pass and scored the first touchdown of his career, a 6-yard reception that he turned into a memorable highlight by using just his right foot to hop into the end zone. Toney was so open that he had 20.4 yards of separation from the nearest defender, the most on a touchdown pass since Next Gen Stats began tracking the stat in 2016.“ |
Is there a highlight vid from yesterday yet? I saw some gay shaggyshane video of pictures.
|
To quote SR, he’s a big sweetie.
“It just felt electric being out there,” Toney said. “I feel like I’m right where I need to be. As I was hopping, I was just thinking, ‘What did I do to be in this position? How can I thank God any more?’” |
Kid’s gonna be a massive steal.
“Mahomes explained that his connection with Toney has developed faster than usual because the receiver spent the past week intently learning the Chiefs’ complex offense by staying at the team’s training facility as long as he did. “He’s a smart kid, and he does pick it up easy,” Reid said of Toney. “He’s very talented. We’re trying to give him some things he’s done before and add one or two things the last couple of weeks that he’s not used to doing, so he can continue to grow. The quarterback has trust in him because of the feel he has.” |
We all knew he had sick moves but what impressed me most was the ball tracking and how he catches the ball with his hands, decisively even.

Probably also explains why he wears that hood he does seemingly at all times while playing/practicing. Keeps the sweat out of his eyes. |

That first GIF (also featured in the tweet) is the catch I'm talking bout. Great leverage, great ball tracking, absolutely superb hand catching. I love this kid.

Just waiting for Brett Veach's two game suspension...
For stealing. |
His accent is strange, then I looked up where he's from and it's Mobile, Alabama which if anyone has ever been there it's a unique city of a lot of different cultures and languages meshed kind of like New Orleans.
But if you're from England you are predisposed to hearing the French influence and being completely convinced it's because he's dumb I guess. |
LMAO CP going viral bros

Very impressed with Toney. He looked like Tyreek out there yesterday and that's no exaggeration. Very fluid, intelligent and slippery. Can catch the high ball in double coverage. Looked very strong.
|
Especially with Juju going down, hats off to Veach for bringing this kid in. Uber talented and having him locked up for a few more years is insane. Chiefs have a nice blend of talent at the receiver position now and in the future.

The glove adjustment tells you a lot. The kid can process information. He's the perfect fit for Mahomes. Shit we have had players that can't run a route and turn their head and look for the ball. This dude is adjusting his gloves and adjusting his route at the same time.
Not fair. By the end of the season I think you might be able to say that the Chiefs traded away Hill and upgraded the WR position, because you JuJu + Toney > Tyreek. Oh and it cost them a fraction of the price and they got draft picks, and cap space in 2023. |

That spin move he had after the catch on the flats isn't being talked about enough. That shit was so smooth.

The next time Hardman high-points a ball will be the first time. Also you're talking about the wrong play just fyi |
Quote:
You quoted me talking about 1 play trying to trash Hardman based on another. |
Toney's stats yesterday:
4 rec, 57 yards, 1 td 2 car, 33 yards So, 90 yards of total offense and a TD. This trade could end up being the steal of the decade. |

watching him Run the ball I thought of Tyreek... We have that play back in our playbook now.
|
Quote:
Tyreek is a predominantly body catcher and that leads to some ricochet tip drill interceptions. You will see more plays of a ball going through Tyreeks hands into his body or off his fingertips than you will see him rip the football out the air with two hands. |
Yeah, I've definitely seen Tyreek go up and highpoint it a number of times.

-That Jag face planted, go nothing but grass on that juke. -Skyy has 'I can't do that' body language. He didn't even know he was still in bounds. That's hilarious. -That spin move was Dante Hall material. Kid is a special talent. |
Not the most articulate chap I've ever heard but he looks like he can play. Really loved that spinning move to avoid the tackle and gain an extra 5 yards on the play. More of that please!

Golly gee, Mahomes makes a player look better than Daniel Jones did.
I'm shocked. |
It took about 5 seconds of watching Toney in college to know he'd be a great fit for the Chiefs.

Look at the pump fake gif at how close Thuney's legs come to Mahomes.
Near god damn disaster there. |

How many guys can just hit the nitrous button and blow apart a tackling angle like that? I mean 33 has him lined up just after the sticks - he has no business out-running that angle. And to do it after bouncing off a tackler is just impressive as hell. Kid's so damn explosive. |

Adding Toney to the offense & McDuffie to the defense makes the Chiefs prohibitive favorites in the AFC. I’m interested to see Miami @ Buffalo in December. |
