I was hoping to see Bush's Chicken on the list, a Texas chain that is similar to Golden Chick and Chicken Express.

For someone who has family in the South, I'm regretful that I haven't eaten at Bojangles. I've heard nothing but good things.

I'll go to Chik-Fil-A if I want a decent sandwich. I haven't tried most of these. There's only one I really wish I hadn't tried: Raising Cane's. I don't get it at all.

I like Bush's (out of Austin TX, I think) for two main reasons - they don't oversalt the chicken and they have fried okra on the menu. Now, the fried okra is from frozen, I'm fairly certain, but it's decent when you need that fix. The chicken is a bit on the expensive side, but I don't scarf 5 pieces at a time anymore, so that isn't an issue for me. For teen-age boys it would probably be a problem. Pretty good quality chicken overall.

I know, CB isn't a chicken chain, but they do have fried chicken on the menu and it's really pretty good. Also, their fried okra is not from frozen, so plus 1 there.

Two votes for Raising Cane's. I love Raising Cane's but they tout their special sauce so much, to get an extra one, it's equivalent to a side. You have to sub out cole slaw or fries or the bread for it. I think that's crazy. Anybody ever do that without paying extra?

I haven't eaten there. Next time, I am in Texas I will check it out.

It kind of depends on what I want... plain fried chicken either KFC... spicy fried or tenders then Popey's. Popey's mashed potates are the bomb and will go there just for that. KFC has the best coleslaw of anyone. Don't know why nobody has tried to remake theirs... it is delicious. Sandwiches and salads, Chik-Fil-A.

The first two are dead on. Church's is always a gamble.

Cane's (this may be higher on the list but there's one right by our house and it's open late so after sporting events, my kids want to eat here every time. I'm getting fatigued.....well maybe just the fat part)

Popeye's honorable mention for sure.

Church's has the best biscuits. If you disagree, i'll run you over behind the George Brett statue.

Church's does bring a bit of a risk of explosive poops out of nowhere occasionally, but I feel the risk is worth the reward.

I've only had Zaxby's once or twice, but it was quite tasty.

I'm really not a chicken fast food person... very rarely if ever had Chikfila, Church's, Popeye's. Haven't been to KFC in years.

I marinade and grill plenty of chicken at home and never eat fried chicken, so I don't see much point in the fast food joints.

I have been to Buffalo Wild Wings many many times over the years... not that the chicken is amazing, but they have a couple of really legit hot sauces, beer, and lots of TVs.

It’s highly overrated. Chick-fil-A is FAR superior.

I seriously don't understand the Chick-fil-A attraction. It's the most bland chicken you can find.

I don't do yard bird so my vote is based solely on whoever has the best shrimp and hushpuppies. That's Popeye's. Even if I did eat chicken, I'd walk an extra mile in order to bypass Chik-fil-a.

Yeah, I'm baffled at how you can call Chick Fil A "bland" unless you live near a rare bad one or are one of those masochistic reeruns that needs to feel pain when you eat for whatever reason and it isn't spicy enough to do it.

I think the Spicy are the best but heck I think the regular chicken sandwich is great too. Fresh and Crispy, I really don’t know why people don’t like it. I add Mayo to mine too, it’s delicious.

Buffalo Wild Wings did me good when I was on keto - and Tuesdays were buy one get one free wing day.

Now it's buy one get 50% off and their wings suck. I just get wings from the grocery store and they taste better.

No one can come close to Popeye's chicken sandwich. Not even close. Giant breast, hot, frsh, juicy, tender.

I used to like Chic-Fil-A but their chicken had been dried out the last 3-4 times I went so I stopped going. More than 1 location.

I love Pollo Compero and highly underrated. They also aren't in a lot of states.

Last time at KFC in 2004 I got food poisoning and never went back.

Church's Fried pieces are good.

Popeyes DID have a good sandwich but it was a marketing ploy to later sell a far more mediocre one. Why they didn't just stick with the sandwich that made them a phenom for a bit is beyond me.

Chick Fil A is the obvious winner, but in an odd coincidence I just had Raising Cane's for the first time ever a couple of days ago, and it was darn good. Their to-go container annoyed me, but the food was good.

I used to love Popeyes but it’s too difficult to eat their chicken now, their crust is too risky on the teeth, that shit is hard as a rock now.

I had a BK spicy chicken sandwich last week for the first time. Rivaled Popeye's.

I had a catastrophic chicken sandwich at the airport a few months back. It was incredibly overcooked and before I figured that out I bit into it and actually chipped a tooth on the crust. Great way to start off a vacation.

Always liked Chick Fil A's Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich with pepper jack cheese, but unfortunately after living directly across the street from one thus eating their food upwards of three times a week for over a year, I have had no desire to eat there in several years. Can't remember the last time I had CFA.

I've been blown away by the volume of BK shops around me after relocating. I've honestly never been a fan of their burgers and apparently underestimated their popularity; although their long rectangular chicken sandwich and Wendy's spicy chicken were like the 2 go-to chicken sandwiches in the 90s.

Anyway, it prompted me to pull up BKs menu out of curiosity and their chicken sandwich looks legit and has me interested enough to look their way next time I get a hankering.

That sucks man doesn’t surprise me one bit, I lucked out, it almost got me but my chompers prevailed, the only thing I’m getting at Popeyes now is Red Beans and Rice.

Our small town has limited options so I tried it and was pleasantly surprised. Being a chain it is possible my results might be above average.

And they had the best fast-food breakfast hands-down, with amazing biscuits and even better cinnamon rolls.

Great chicken and stellar sides. Fried mushrooms with their mustardy sauce brought me back again and again.

Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A

had chic fil a once, thought it was decent. Certainly better than the other chains.

Know it’s a smaller chain, but I love Gus’s Fried Chicken. The perfect amount of cayenne seasoning in the breading and the chicken is always very juicy and cooked just right everytime I have it. The sides leave a little to be desired, but I do love their chicken.

Way better place to pick up single moms as compared to Popeye's.

CFA is not the same type of chicken as KFC or Strouds etc. Its not fried chicken really.

I'm not a big Chicken fast food fan because I make it a lot at home.

That said, I buy Chik-Fil-A sauce in bulk from amazon. That stuff is good.

This poll is bogus without Go Chicken Go so I went with Chik Fil A its the most consistently good. Needed Culvers in the list that chicken Sammy is really good.

It's chicken and deep-fried except for the grilled stuff with no fillers I can tell. The only difference is it's deboned.

In TX we had a Chicken Express not far from where we lived. Good chicken tenders! Killer sweet tea.

Anyone had Dave's Hot Chicken? My nephew in Tennessee loves it. They're growing fast and there are rumors of coming to KC.

Chesters Chicken is ok but I don't know if they have restaurants. I only see them in gas stations and Sunfresh Grocery stores.

Kenny Rodgers was good also till he kicked it and they disappeared.

Fish and Chips should be next! Arthur Treacher's was the best bar none. There are rumors of coming back to KC Metro.

Anyone ever have Jollibee? Their fried chicken and chicken sandwiches are awesome.

Those are everywhere in the Philippines my wife raves about them. The younger Filipinos have switched loyalties to KFC now her family says.

Never had a chicken sandwich with onion on it. I don't know why but what fast food serves with an onion? Ive have chicken fried steak and Italian steak sammies with onion. Is it a Wendy's thing?

I got a couple of thighs and a leg. You know how it tastes amazing at first, but then all the grease just hits your gut in some time lapse bullshit move? Yeah, like that.

I always have trouble with their fried chicken being done it's always rubbery. I do love the spicy strips there though and those honey butter biscuits. It's a shame about those fries.

Probably just a me thing. I swap the tomato for onions the one or two times a year I get a Wendys spicy chicken.

Also I lied I love a good chicken salad sandwich with onion now that I recall.
