****ing schedule is rough and 3 straight road games late in the season. ugh

Not bad. First half of the season is kind of rough, but the second half is MUCH easier.

This team hasn’t played much different on the road the last couple seasons than at home.

Nothing is ever exactly how it seems on paper.

Nobody though Cincinnati would be tough last year and no one thought Pittsburgh would be easy.

There will be a game or 2 that looks daunting right now that will turn out to be a cakewalk and a couple that look easy that end up being tough.

True but that stretch in November-December with 4 out of 5 games on the road is pretty rough even with the Texans thrown in there. I think Lovie Smith will have the Texans playing competitive football.

Goddamn that stretch of LAC, LAR, CIN and DEN is gonna be tough. Great teams and then DEN playing in prime time to try to finally beat us which will be their SB. Then you top it off with 3 straight road games (counting Denver).

It's two hours now and will be until the beginning of November (you can see the times change after the bye week when the rest of the world goes to standard time and we "move" to Mountain).

I prefer this time of year because I'm old and would rather have games start earlier so I can go to bed.

I count three "impossible to lose" games on the entire schedule.

Gonna be tough but it's also been tough the last several years and we've managed just fine.

Not only do we get the Cardinals without Hopkins, I’m pretty sure Godwin won’t be back in time for the Bucs game either.

That Christmas Eve game looks really appealing as far as attending a game goes. I have a thing for holiday games.

How the **** does the Broncos schedule look so easy compared to ours? I know it’s a last place schedule but that’s only like a 2 game difference

It's starting to feel like that late Sunday afternoon slot is a premiere slot, and I think we have 6 of those.

Well, if you look at their roster vs ours it doesn’t look nearly as bad. They’ll lose more games than us, and Mahomes isn’t gonna miss the opportunity to roll the current streak to the number on his jersey. 15 straight incoming. I heard Bolton doesn’t intend to lose to them until his new number is eclipsed. We’re fine. We have Mahomes/Reid, they have a quarterback that just got traded from a current poverty franchise to another, and a first time HC who’s never called plays. WBF.

The Nantz/Romo game is just as big as any prime time game IMO.

Andy has a really good plan, Spags has new better players to work with. The league has caught up with the Chiefs of the last 3 years. They’re not prepared for the new look Chiefs. SB or bust!

Denver has the easiest schedule to start the year. Chiefs start with 8 games against teams that finished 500 or better.

I was listening to Late hits on Sirius NFL radio the other day. They had Bill Polian on there. He claimed that when NE and Indy were playing each other pretty much every year that NE got way more home games. He claimed that it happened due to the schedulers making the networks happy instead of following a formula. I would think that he was full of shit, but he was on the competition committee, so you would think that he would know

Yeah that's not true. The schedules have a formula that goes years in advance. You can literally look right now at the Chiefs schedule the next 3-4 years.

It just worked out that Manning got hurt when it had rotated around to New England getting the home games for 2-3 years in a row based on the formula. These are all the Manning/Brady regular season games once they went to the current divisions:
