AMC Theaters to start showing NFL games on the big screen
This would be great if you're lucky enough to live in one of the cities where its available. Only downside so far is they've only been given clearance to show out of market games but they're currently in negotiations with the league on that.

To the Warren Moon!
|
Imagine the drunken fights inside the theaters.
|
Sounds great in theory, there’s an AMC literally 4 blocks from me… but I’d probably be far more comfortable at home
|
Good move for AMC. They should've done this years ago.
|
That will get people who don't have a 60 inch TV into the theater. So like 7 people

Weird they would have a problem with the local games. |

This doesn't appeal to me whatsoever. I don't even like watching Chiefs games with other people. (Outside of the people in Discord chat)
|
If I wanted to pay $19.50 for a beer I’d just go to the game.
|
Only idiots watch live TV
|
AMC STOCK!!!
|
Good idea. Some Theaters in my area show UFC matches and big boxing matches
|
Bathrooms would be much more convenient.

Does anybody stand at attention while the national anthem plays at home? Thanks he military plays the SB in theaters overseas. Sucks ass. Assholes that have zero insight the game are acting like douche bags throughout the whole game. Hope the civilian theater would be a better experience.
|
Demographic structures in Nashville have changed pretty dramatically.
They are featuring the Cowgirls vs. Lambs here. I anticipate a standing-room-only crowd. FAX |
the only way this is appealing is if I get the uncut rated R audio feed from the game

Makes sense. The only place where crap food prices rival crap stadium food prices. (generally speaking)
|
This would be good for people who live outside the broadcast area
|
I don’t go to porno theaters, because I can’t trust myself to not jerk off in public.
You honestly think I could go watch Mahomes on the big screen and not end up prison? No chance. |

Pass. I don't want to have to pace up and down stairs around strangers when there's a tense game situation.
|
GB could do a Ten things heard at the movie theater during the Chiefs game.

I haven't figured out out an easy way/reasonably priced method to record Sunday Ticket on my desktop and delay watch. |
Bring on the MOASS baby!!!!!

I’ve become a semi-expert on what makes watching Chief football in public places a fun experience for fans. Movie theatre's ain’t it.
**** that shit. Go out and watch a game in rows? Sure you get a comfy chair and a big screen but you probably got a comfy chair at home. Big enough TV. You go out to watch a Chief's game with your fellow fans you want to high five fans, interact with them etc. sitting in long rows doesn’t work. |

Ummmmm. The one KC area theater doing this is showing Denver vs Jax. Wtf??
|
This would be great for groups outside the kc market to get together.

Hey one of you guys should make the GDT.

In my hometown they do MNF at the theatre. It's an old theatre that was turned into a dinner/bar/movie place. When you walk in you order your food from the stand and they give you a number. There's a big bar in the back of the theatre and you can take a seat at a table and watch the game.
I'm surprised you don't see this more in other areas. Take your kids to see Back to the future (or whatever) for cheap entrance price while ordering dinner etc. My favorite was The big Lebowski night they did yearly. I would dress up as the dude and white Russians were a couple dollars. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/p/...WKD-vj3G8nJ13P |

In the OG chapter I had 156 Chief fans last week. We score I always get everyone a high five. Go around all the place. Indoors, outdoors, the bar, long tables etc. we have raffles. Halftime stuff. Interacting with the fans is the key. Sometimes we BBQ and tailgate in the lot prior to the game. I built Arrowhead South from 6-8 Chief fans up to 27 different cities of chapters in 9 states in the South. People love the vision. More wanted to join. This off season Arrowhead Kingdom was born. It has grown to 97 Chief fan chapters in 37 states with chapters in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Italy. So far….That says this is the formula. All free. All volunteer. Guarantee you go to one of our established chapters, that couch at home won’t seem so cozy anymore. |
Not gonna lie, my brother and I watched the McGregor vs. Mayweather boxing match at AMC. It was was pretty epic in that atmosphere.
|
Sounds good in theory, shitty in practice.
Gonna be a fail |

Can you yell and cheer, or do you get shushed? Is it actually dark like a movie?
|
I’d be willing to try it once.

Sounds like it could be fun. Certainly the largest screen I'd ever see a game on.
|
Who owns AMC?
I'll pass. |

If not live or on my own couch, I'd prefer a sports bar over movie theater, but not a bad option either. |
