There’s that TE help.
|
Anything's better than Keizer
|
Looks like a safe option to boost roster depth.
|
If we’re taking a flyer on a TE I think I would have rather taken Yeboah
|

His No. 1 strength is “team captain,” so there’s that
|
Okay, maybe its because he's a TE, maybe its because he's white, maybe its because he's #87, maybe its because he has really good hands, maybe its because he played QB in highschool....
but he sooooorta gives me Kelce vibes? |
Dude is a poor mans Kelce I love it
|
|
Basically, a really solid route runner.
|
Athletic TE that can cut. I like it.
|
Did we trade up for this guy?

Total Chad

You've got that right. Let Travis teach him, lock him in the weight room to put on more muscle and he'll be just fine. |

ahem. Thanks for weighing in! :thumb: |
It’s not just his number. He looks so much like Kelce it’s insane.
He’s working the middle of the field, reading zone coverage to find the holes and has excellent lateral agility to separate from LB’s. This is a home run pick IMO |
Not super blown away to be honest, what I'm reading has him as a 6th-7th round prospect... but he apparently does have a knack for getting open as a zone buster and has experience splitting out wide
As SNR said, he's gotta be better than everyone but Kelce right? |
I am no ordinary TE, I am Captain Diabetes
|
Mark andrews has diabetes and he is really good

With Gray the Chiefs will be getting a tight end that has athletic ability, a little shake in the open field. Just FYI his RAS score from that Twitter account is wrong. This is his official pro day numbers from Duke’s website
Noah Gray Height: 6-3 Weight: 240 Hand: 9 2/8 Arm: 31 5/8 Wingspan: 78 2/8 Bench Press: 15 Vertical Jump: 35.0 Broad Jump: 9.7 40-Yard Dash: 4.52 Short Shuttle: 4.30 3-Cone Drill: 6.72 https://goduke.com/news/2021/3/29/fo...1-pro-day.aspx |
Looks like a guy who was too slow to play WR so they turned him into a TE. Not a bad pick and could work out well learning under the wing of Kelce.
|
Seems like he will finally fill that second TE spot that we never can find anyone to step into. I've got faith in this pick. Looks like he does a good job finding holes in coverage and based on his highlights he finishes runs well. I like it!
|
He is sneaky good. Great hands especially in traffic which is huge when you don't have elite athleticism. He finds a way to get open and runs hard through people. I like this pick.:thumb:
|
He’s literally a poor mans Kelce
|

This was the compensation, FYI

Disappointing considering Brevin Jordan who has way more upside was available when they picked the raw/developmental edge rusher at the end of the 4th round.
|
The more I look into it, the more I like this pick.
I agree that he looks like a poor man’s Kelce. What more could you ask for at TE2 with Kelcee’s age? |

Veach loves RAS & SPARQ.

Definitely some similarities to Kelce. The only real knock is that he needs to get a little stronger. Good pick.
It’s about time they brought in a decent 2nd TE. |
Hey guys who does this prospect description remind you of? LMAO

Travis Kelce is nearly two inches taller and 20 pounds heavier they aren't that comparable.
As a second TE he'll find openings I think. He's not a Kelce replacement down the line, he's complimentary |
Quote:
|
I just mean that his body type is not the same as Kelce. Finding Kelces in the draft is hard. He's rare

I love this pick in the sense that we had to address TE#2 at some point with someone other than Bell and Keizer. We did that with someone who could be pretty decent.

Looks like a Kelce clone. We have needed a good #2 TE and looks like we finally have it

Noah Gray has so much nuance at the top of his routes and the explosion out of his breaks is terrific. How can anyone not see Kelce in this kid? How many times have we seen Kelce use this move to kill LB’s?

Noah Gray can move well for a TE. After brushing up on some highlights, I'm warming up to this guy... almost identical measurables as our old dude James O' Shaughnessy, and drafted in the same round as well
He definitely has some skills, in Veach we trust |
Compares favorably to Tony Moeaki
|
I'm OK with this pick, especially since I wanted a TE somewhere. Is he Kelce? No, but he can be Kelce Lite with a little work in the weight room and dining hall.

So he can block?

Kelce is one of the best TE's to ever play the game. I'd be happy if this guy could just step in on 2 TE sets and give us a safety valve.

This dude looks like the biggest Chad frat bro ever. I’m a fan.
If this were 2007, he would definitely be wearing 2 polos with the collars popped and salmon shorts. |
Folks are comparing him to Travis but the funny thing is his physical traits and pro day numbers actually mirror George Kittle quite a bit :D .
The bottom line is this guy will be able to watch Trav work everyday and gain knowledge from him so it's gonna be very interesting to see how he develops. |
Some have compared him to Dallas Clark. For where he was picked, that’s high praise.

He's kind of an H-Back type. I mean, I guess it'll be okay and give them another complementary weapon. I just don't especially feel too enamored with the pick. I'm trusting Reid on this one but until I see the product on the fiel I'm not getting excited about it. |
This guy is going to take the FB snaps also. This is basically you're backup TE, HBack and fullback.
