Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down issue
2 Attachment(s)
I know a while back, the mods put some space between the Like button and the dislike button to help prevent accidental down votes.
The issue is still happening to a lot of people and then I noticed tonight why. Even though there's space between them now, the space is actually occupied by the thumbs down button. To click on the thumbs up, you have to be directly on the icon. But to click on the thumbs down, you can literally click on the icon or a full icon's width to the left. If you miss the thumbs up just by a smidge to the right and click on the right space, it produces a thumbs down. I've attached screenshots. |
Freaking dark mode.
|
That's part of the problem. It's also a problem that most CPers have really fat fingers. It's difficult to touch a glass (phone) surface at all without touching damn near all of it.

Well that explains why so many of my brilliant posts get thumbsed down!

Oh, and fix your shit DaFace!

I'm sorry. ROFL |
Five for five so far. I’m on fire.
|
DaFace spread them apart due to user complaints, and yet accidental downvotes seemingly got even worse... just pay attention to what you're doing folks, its easy if you try

If its the phone I zoom in a lil first to be sure, on the big screen I just put the arrow where its supposed to go... I've been quietly laughing to myself about this little phenomenon for a while now |
There's also the do it yourself manual method....

My biggest problem is that it’s exactly where I scroll down on my phone with my thumb 90% of the time.

You'll notice where the mouse is when the thumbs down lights up red and is select-able... |
Isn’t
**** off considered a CP downvote did we really need a button. |
You'd think this place is being run by a bunch of hacks who don't know how to code or something, lol.
(I had to say that because a lot of my code still seems to be floating around) |
Maybe if the thumbs were dick icons instead you guys would be more accurate...

My problem is that sometimes they default to being close together until I try to click on them THEN they spread out.
|
Can we change the thumbs up to an air fryer?
|
Ah ok. I forgive you all for always getting thumbs down then.

And while I realize ideally people would click exactly where you want them, it's really not that hard to mess up when one "hot zone" is 3 times the size of the other one. |

Thanks for the heads-up. Fixed.

Aww, shit.

It would be nice if we could have an option to change it if we accidentally hit the wrong one. But once thumbed up (or down), there is no going back. I know my fat fingers have hit the wrong one on several occasions. Is that something that would be possible?

I mainly just try to encourage people not to take it too seriously. |

DIES!!! |
How come sometimes I see the thumbs up\thumbs down and other times I don't? It happens on multiple PC's, and I don't CP on my phone.
It seems to be missing randomly... EDIT - is it only in the lounge? Not in DC for instance? |

There's nothing to like in DC. Literally nothing. |
