Do we want to keep Suggs?
He did a pretty good job and provided some veteran confidence for the defense.
Was it a one-shot deal or should we try to bring him back? |
Yes! But less cash to get people signed.
I mean if he wants to play for the absolute minimum maybe.
Otherwise i'm not sure what he has left in the tank to offer us. |
Sure
As a coach or a player
Suggs gave us a push last season no doubt He made everyone step their game up |
Suggs would be a nice piece for the right price. Still defends the run well, plays zone coverage as well as any backer, great situational awareness, sure tackler, and can still get to the QB when he really wants to. Not a lot of guys like him out there.
No
No wife pics. Must be sarcasm
No. Thanks for helping set the edge in the big games, enjoy the ring.
Does he have the corona?
Nah we need younger players
Probably not, but thanks for the contribution.
I really liked the guy he contributed in the postseason big time. If he was willing to come cheap sure but feel that he wants to end his career in Baltimore. I knew he was a good player but I had an opinion of him as a dirty Raven. I was wrong he is a good dude and a true leader of men.
If he keeps Speaks slow and lethargic ass off the field then yes.
No. Bring back Ogbah. Suggs got his ring.
If his heart is in it and he wants to grind.
Last year DE was a numbers game, we have expiring contracts and 5 draft picks. If he has checked out nope. If he’s in I’d entertain it. |
I think it would be great to have him for 1 year to work with Speaks.
Absolutely, if we can manage a team-friendly deal. He's still got game. And I have little doubt that he had a great influence on our late season defensive improvement.
Only if Jason LaCanfora tweets a guarantee that he's coming back to Baltimore, and then to come back and win another ring so we can say that Suggs won 2 rings with us and only 1 with them.
Then, yes. Just to spite LaCanfora and Baltimore. |

Of course, if he wants to do he might get multiple offers. |

At this point, I'd rather see money spent on keeping Ogbah. Kpass seems to be getting the idea, but I just don't think Speaks ever will. |

Yeah that will be interesting to watch. You know Veach, Spags and Daly will make the right call. These three can be trusted to identify and sign the talent we need at DL. |

If he can help Breeland Speaks' growth as a player, then yes.
If was down to between Suggs and Ogbah I'd choose Ogbah in a heartbeat. He's huge, athletic, and was really starting to flash before he tore his pec.
I'm sure he helped stiffen up the run defense, but I didn't hear his name called in the game. He didn't stand out to me.
Whatever Veach thinks. |
The only reason we signed him is because the bulk of his salary was paid. If he wants as much(or more) than last year, no chance he’s back.
Yeah!
I’m cool with it for the right price, but where does that leave Ogbah?
As far as Speaks, I’ve kinda reached the point of not caring anymore |
For my part, I was never thinking of Suggs as an every-down player. I don't think even he wants that anymore. But as a situational (20-25 snaps) player, for the right money, I think he'd be a nice piece to have. We'd still need a solid DE for those other 30-45 snaps. Ogbah or Okafor would be ideal for those, IMO. Maybe even Speaks.
Strong leader. Cheap option.

As a camp fodder he brings experience
Let him compete if he makes the roster then good on him. |

Suggs is 37 yo has been in the league a long time and probably could consider retiring but possibly have a year left in him but what I said was a pretty generic statement but the Wow and facepalm I mean pffft lol  |
If he wants to. That's the answer.
Nobody thinks he's worth a ton of money, or that he's an every down player anymore. I'm sure not even he thinks that. But if he can go, and he wants to go, sure, yeah, of course you'd like to have him back. You can't overvalue his experience. We don't have to "get younger" except as a salary cap concern. We're THERE. We're champions. A few crusty old veterans are good to have around. |
