Mahomes could own most QB records by the time he retires.

I posted earlier this season that he could own the career passing TD record by his 13th-15th season. Total career passing yards as well. Total career 4,000+ yard passing seasons. Total career 5,000 yard passing seasons. Total 6,000 yard seasons. Which isn't even a record yet. Best career TD/INT ratio, and so on, and so on.

About the only records that might be safe would be consecutive games started, and total SB rings. And I wouldn't bet on either of those not going to Mahomes either. They're just not very likely.

I seriously think that he wants to be the GOAT and break every record in the book. But, at the same time, I think that if he had to choose between records and Superbowls, he would choose the Superbowls. He wants to be great to win. Not for the sake of being great.

I think that Brees has averaged about 4300 yards per season. I expect Mahomes to average at least a few hundred more.

He wants more than Brady. That’s the starting point.

We shall see. Of course he wants to be the best. But He will have a few years where he rightfully stockpiles cash. As he should since he deserves it. But I still believe that most great qbs at some point in their career have to decide between maximizing money and building a team around them. I trust his agent and him to do that. But we'll see.

As we know the guy was great in HS was great at TT and would be great on any team. BUT.....when it comes to stats/numbers it sure helps to have the fastest man in football and a stud TE in Kelce, so if the kid is smart he does what it takes to keep those two around, at least do what he can.

Barring injury we are looking at the greatest QB we have ever seen, and the only reason he doesn't break all the records is health and losing his great receivers.

Nobody puts Trent Dilfer, Doug Williams, Jim McMahan, Terry Bradshaw, Joe Namath, above Dan Marino, John Unitas, Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Warren Moon, so SB success isn't everything.

Needs about 4 rings to be the GOAT in my view, unless we have people in the world who are stupid enough to think Belichick's defense contributed 0 to Brady's 6 rings.

He will take a small discount but only like 37-38 mil a year instead of 40. His agent is damn good. He’s already stated that Mahomes will not play this upcoming year unless a deal is done

Mahomes would over rule him. He wouldn’t miss a game.

I believe his expectations of himself are to do everything in his power to be called the best ever, when he is done playing. I think he expects to learn, prepare, practice, and play to the best of his abilities, so that he, and anyone else, can never say he didn't give it his all.

I think he believes if he meets those expectations, everything else, like MVP Awards, Lombardi Trophies, etc. will fall into place, and be a byproduct of his hard work.

Terry Bradshaw has four SB wins, there has never been a time anyone has ever thought of him as THE GOAT.

I don't think anyone believes the Chiefs can get 3 more rings with Mahomes being carried by an incredible defense (Bradshaw with Steelers). Patrick will have to be great, just as he was in this playoff run. If he gets to 4 rings, he will also have some crazy stats to go with it since he plays in the Air Raid era of the NFL.

I agree with you. He stated in interviews during the playoffs that he put up a lot of stats at Texas Tech but didn't win a lot of games. He doesn't care about stats, he just wants to win.

I don't think he wants to win. I think he knows if he prepares to the best of his ability, winning is a foregone conclusion because I think that he thinks he is going to be the greatest ever. He just doesn't say it out loud.

He wants to be great. Winning is just one of the things he has to do along the way.

I want to see a 600 yard passing game or 8 TD passes in a game or some crazy shit like that. Just a mind blowing, never broken record.

Given the fact Coach Reid takes his foot off the gas with a big lead, the only way we will see the numbers you suggest is a crazy shootout where the KC defense is struggling pretty bad.

One thing no one is mentioning that would be the greatest accomplishment of all...the unthinkable....
