We've talked about Kelce and Jones a lot obviously, but it's good to keep in mind that the Texans are WAY more beat up than we are. I hadn't heard anything about Fells being injured until today. That could be a big one.

Claiborne better have one helluva excuse, or he can get his ass on a slow boat to Shanghai

Not really. it's not like he's going to be missing that much by not practicing a day. He knows the game-plan by now.

They're just giving him as much rest as possible so that he can go on Sunday.

Yeah, I'd be pretty surprised if he wasn't active on Sunday. I worry a bit about him being slightly hobbled, but that's all the more reason to give him the day off.

No word on what's up with Claiborne?

Dismiss my pain from fifty years of Chiefs

5th straight game. Heard it's still his shoulder. If so, not sure why the reason given is non-injury/personal. Pretty sure the coaching interviews this week never mentioned his shoulder.

Claiborne's shoulder can't be the primary reason that he isn't playing, otherwise the Chiefs would just list that as the injury designation and not add NIR.

Maybe there is disagreement between the Chiefs and Claiborne with the severity/treatment of the shoulder injury?

#2 wish for the game - no injuries to the secondary

I'm thinking that Claiborne is like the right tackle the Donks went and got last year. This guy hurt his knee and the trainers/doctors say he has healed up and is ready to play. The player says no "it still hurts and I don't trust it yet". No evidence just my hunch.

I don't think Jones will play.

I don’t wanna speculate too far but Claiborne seems like a family related deal, probably a death to keep him out in this scenario... I’ll withhold my judgement.

Him being there or not can’t possibly be the reason either team loses.

How are people just assuming Jones will play "because it's the playoffs"? This is because Chiefs we're talking about here.......

If possible, hold Jones out. The Chiefs are 10 point favorites. If they can win this without him, he would need to be full strength next week.

Im hopeful this is just a precaution issue. I know if I were coaching the team, and one of my star players "tweaked" something a couple days before a playoff game, Id shut him down till game day to provide the most rest possible. To my knowledge, there have not been reports of any medical tests done like MRI'S etc. That's s why I think its precautionary.
So to me, the question is if he plays, how effective will he be? Just have to wait and see...

I only hold him out if he cant play and/or is not effective. There is no "next week" if KC does not win tomorrow. Just my opinion.

Best case is Mahomes gets us up 20 plus before half and we sit everyone.

If that pic was taken post-injury, his calf is fine.
