Kelce Limited in Practice; Sore Knee

Let’s hope he heals up by Sunday.

Bell and Yelder blow. Probably our position of least depth.

MahiMike 01-08-2020 04:07 PM

Fake news. I hope.

Of course then there is the much debated Mahomes patellar injury.

It’s the same shit almost every year with injuries in the playoffs (aside from last year). Forgive me for being sick of that.

You should stop watching football, then.

It's called the playoffs.

It's Will Fuller and Mark Ingram and Mark Andrews and Tyler Lockett and JaDaveon Clowney and Jimmy Graham and so on. Every team has a valuable player either limited in practice or hoping to get back in time.

Settle down, dude. Jeez.

I’m still pretty pissed about losing Thornhill right before the playoffs and Kelce and knee soreness is always going to be scary when he had that bad knee injury. Regardless of it being so long ago (rookie year).

Kelce is a 30 year old man with a previous serious knee injury that is practicing in the cold after playing 16 games.

I’d be surprised if he wasn’t sore

Uh broken knees don't. Sore knees absolutely do. If I have a sore knee it's often gone the very next day.

Just because your sore knee stops being painful in 24 hours doesn't mean it's healed. it just means that for some reason the pain impulses aren't being sent to your brain anymore. The actual damage, if there is any, is still there and cartilaginous/ligament damage doesn't heal in a few days.

On the plus side for you, if the pain does go away in a day or two, it means that it's unlikely that any damage is serious.

Kiimo 01-08-2020 05:36 PM

So knees can't be sore unless there's damage to the ligaments or cartilage?

Then what's your point other than to demonstrate your knowledge of how injured knees heal?

Because my point is that Kelce could easily have a sore knee that isn't damaged and he'd feel fine tomorrow and not need a cortisone shot. Your post is totally worthless unless Kelce has a damaged knee.

Or maybe I'm just interpreting what you're saying incorrectly.

When I hear "broken" I assume broken bones/torn cartilage, etc.

Maybe I should expand my understanding to just not 100% mechanically sound."

In this practice clip, Kelce can be seen catching a pass and turning up to run at one point. Looked pretty dialed in... he’s fine it would appear.

Megatron96 01-08-2020 06:14 PM

Actually, I don't know why I even posted my original statement.

It's much, much better if we go with what you said, and Kelce just has a bit of soreness that will go away in a couple days.

Ignore everything I've said on this subject, please.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-08-2020 06:22 PM

Kelce is going to ball out en route to this Super Bowl title... have no fear.

And then he’s going to get a 1-2 year contract extension to lower his 2020 cap hit this offseason.

Just curious. When did 'balling out" become a phrase with this current meaning? And does it refer to manly testicles? It used to mean yelling at some one.

He's a baller that's for sure, but you will be physically limited if injured. Look at Mahomes ankle when we were still winning, he didn't take off running for the 1st with the ankle. He's a baller too.

He got to this point with the threesomes and kinky stuff, why would you want to deny him that at this point? Seems unfair and selfish.

That's probably why i never became an All Pro TE myself, not enough threesomes.
