Let's talk about the Broncos
The Patriots have been disposed of, and now we're onto the Broncos.
The Broncos put a complete ass whipping on the Texans today, not many saw that coming. Let's talk about it in here. |
Lock looked pretty good from the highlights. Chiefs should win this, but it's really not a big game with the division locked up unless you want a bye.
|
Do we need to win this game or can we throw it?
|
Lock looks good so far
|
This has "TARP GAME" written all over it.
A. Coming off an emotional win vs the Patriots in their house. B. Mahomes may be dealing with a hand injury. C. We've wrapped up the division. Mahomes health is the key here, obviously. If he is healthy, we're fine, if he's not - who knows? |
69-0 win, bitch!!!

Von Miller will be back.
This is a low key trap game, and so is Chicago. Take care of business. |
The Broncos were an easy bet today playing a team off a big emotional win. Kind of surprised they did that to them though. I know it sort of applies to us as well but being a division rival should help us overcome a letdown game.

Lock will be exposed this week. Multiple picks.
We’ll win this game. Even if we have to start Matt Moore. |

Lock looks good. Far outplayed Mahomes recently.
We will expose him this week though. Chiefs win 14-10. |
Needs to be a get right game for Patrick.
|
**** donk forever

**** Donk Forever.
That is all that needs to be said. |
Lock is clearly the best QB in the AFC West after this week. Will be a tough battle.

Lock has had one good half of football out of four, and Denver fans have already placed him in Canton. They’re already trying to compare him favorably to Mahomes. They’re so desperate for relevance.
|
We're going to slit all their throats and jack off to them bleeding to death on the ground!!!
|
I am going to be one sad monkey if we blow our shot at a bye by losing to a shit team at home
come on chiefs |
well they don't have Joe Flacco starting any more that they have that going for them
|
**** Donk Forever.
|
If we want a bye we realistically have to hope for the Patriots to lose one more game out of the next three against the Bengals, Bills and Dolphins, with the only likely scenario against the Bills. If we win out, and they lose one more then the 2 seed is ours and a bye week.
|
Drew Lock is 10x's better at this point than Joe Flacco.
That said, not sure about the supporting cast but they got some wind in their sails so no easy lay down for sure. |
Take this down: WE ARE GOING TO STEAM-ROLL THE BRONCOS.
FULL STOP. |
No. They are not worthy.:p
|
Drew Lock is a stud.
|
I will accept nothing less than what is depicted in my Avatar.

You can’t go from Clay the Defender to Clay the Pussy. Keep that unbridled optimism going at full strength. We need you for the stretch run, bro. |
Heres hoping we don’t do like the Texans and blow our wad against the Pats and then get beat by the shit ass Dungkeys. The West isn’t enough!!
|
The Broncos won in impressive form yesterday, surprised most and by far played their most complete game in 2 years. Should give them a lot of momentum and confidence as they travel to KC.
I like how they've played the last 2 weeks, but I'm not naive enough to think that all is fixed. Maybe there's a trend with HOU beating NE and following that up with a home loss to Denver that the Chiefs can start.... I doubt it. Hopefully, it's a really good game. Earlier this year, KC met up with Denver and the overly charismatic Flacco... the team is playing differenctly since his benching. Just so guys like PGM and TEX don't get all salty, I'll get this out there early. Chiefs 24 / Broncos 20 |

Should we be worried about Drew Lock?

Denver would love nothing more than @#%ing up KC's shot at a bye so AR better keep their eyes on the prize this week. Lock has given the donkey faithful out here hope. Time for KC to bring them back closer to earth.

When we faced them at Pile High earlier this year, they were confident after winning 2 in a row. They took out Mahomes in the first half, and still couldn't beat the Chiefs without Mahomes. Now, the Donk fans are all excited about Drew Lock and their 2 game winning streak. Chiefs will roll them and quiet that optimism again.

Won’t happen though, 24-20 KC, but I believe they will play well. |

On the Mane, they’re already confident that Lock will have “no trouble whatsoever” with KC’s D.
They refuse to acknowledge the defensive improvement. Even after the 30-6 beatdown. I’m not sure there has been a much more dominant defensive performance in the entire league this year. Sure, Lock is a big upgrade over Flacco, but I’m not convinced he’s elite. If you watch the full highlights of yesterday’s game, it consisted of about three nice throws and a bunch of dump-offs and checkdowns. Plus, Houston’s D is among the worst in the league at this point. Regardless, the biggest problem for them in Denver was the pass protection. Unless that has magically improved dramatically, we can still cause them major problems. |

Broncos have no shot, KC is just sooo dominant in everything they do, it's really stupid to even play the game. Hopefully, maybe, the Broncos can put up a few points?
Broncos 2 Chiefs 49 Score does not reflect utter dominance of KC |

P.S. your reverse mojo jinx won’t work. Your team isn’t good enough. You know it and so do we. |
My guess is Drew Lock comes out way off the mark as he'll be completely overhyped being back home with a ton of family there.
|
I like Drew, as I’m a Mizzou fan, but he will NEVER be a big time NFL QB. Has too many holes in his game (struggles with accuracy and absolutely wilts under pressure). I do think he’ll eventually become a ‘solid’ starter in the league, but that’s it.
All that said, he’s gonna be extra hyped up for this game being back home in front of his family and friends (Lees Summit kid). That’s not a good recipe for a rookie QB playing on the road in his first big time venue against one of the better teams in football. He will miss on a lot of throws and probably throw 2 or 3 picks. Donks may stick around longer than normal, but Chiefs will ultimately win this one comfortably. No worries. |
Lock hasn’t had much pressure on him yet. Yesterday it was virtually non-existent.
That is going to change this weekend.

Why did the #Patriots go two-for-12 on third down? The Broncos are playing hard right now and I think that's because they believe they have a shot to win with Lock. When Flacco was playing the team simply didn't care all that much because Flacco sucked. Flacco was an uninspiring statue in the pocket that no opposing defenses were scared of or had to "game plan" around his talents. KC has a lot to play for so I expect KC to win but I also expect the Broncos to play much, much better than their last game against KC. |

I'll also add this... early on in the season, the team started off way too slow. Since benching Flaccco, they've done much better early. They've scored 23 and 38 points the last 2 weeks, but only 13 total after halftime. They can't do that this week...

The most recent common opponent...
KC @ LAC / 24-17 LAC @ DEN / 23-20 Doesn't really tell ya much, but it's about the only real recent comparison. Denver is 3-3 after losing to KC and benching Flacco. Close loss to IND and MIN, the team has played better, which as a fan is all you can hope for. |

If the answer is "yes," then no we don't have to worry about him. |
Quote:
He may not be a great NFL QB in the making, but so far so good. 18/28 for 134 yards, 2 TD / 1 INT at home in his first start for the win 22/27 for 309 yards, 3 TD / 1 INT on the road for the win, first road win Lock has made some nice throws - many more than those you wished he hadn't thrown and I didn't mind the risk he took late yesterday that was picked off. This week, the defense has to step it up big and the ground game has to be more of a consistent presence if Denver intends on having a chance to win. 25 rushes for 84 yards vs LAC 27 rushes for 90 yards @ HOU They'll need 150 yards on the ground, minimum, if they want to be in this game late with a shot of truly walking away with a major upset win. Early on, KC gave up big yards on the ground to DET/OAK/BAL - walked away with wins in each ...DET and BAL had huge production. In the 4 losses for KC, they were dominated in the ground game and that's really the only way Denver has a shot. Denver has been good, but not dominating in the ground game. Time for them to shake things up a bit compared to the last 2 weeks. |
