Chiefs workout RB Spencer Ware
Per Carrington Harrison
UPDATE: Chiefs have signed Spencer Ware

It appears the Chiefs have signed Spencer Ware, who played the 3 previous seasons in KC. Hope he can at least be a dependable player.
|
Hm.
|
Lol
Bring in CJ Spiller for a look |
D Will’s ribs & D Wills leg
Shady’ mileage/age & Darwin’s size/youth. **** it. Let’s bring him back if Darrel’s leg is ****ed. |

That's not a good sign re the Williams boys.
|
I’d sign him if he looks anything like last year.
|
CJ Anderson still out there? That guy can pick up a third and short and also big runs.
|
I like the combo of shady and Darwin.
What we need is a power and short yardage back. Darrel Williams was kind of that guy. Not sure we have anyone I trust in our current rotation. |
Anthony sherman our short yard back.
|
Maulware BACK!
|
you know he wont fumble and he can run routes and catch the ball
sign him carl |
This makes sense...yip
|
Just another guy to take touches away from Darwin.
|
Nate Taylor floated that he'd checked in with Charcandrick West the other day, and he said he was keeping in shape. (Nothing about actually being contacted by the team, though.)

I didn't realize that Ware was available. Didn't he sign with Indy?
|
If he’s even his 2018 self, that’s better than Darrel and probably Damien.

He's a very handsome black man - not that I'm gay - but NTTAWWT

Oh jeez....

I don't want Darwin or mccoy getting more than 10 carries. Mccoy might be our more reliable pass pro guy while Darwin might be a great option where we can get him the ball in space. Ware would add a new dimension by adding some running between the tackles. Something we're badly needing right now. I could see this working. |

Love it....
|
Ware caught that wizard ball Pat threw against the Ravens last year, right before or after the no-look pass.
|
is alex collis still an option?

What about that jag Elijah McGuire?
|
There has to be better RB options than washed up Ware.
|
I didn't realize so many people here didn't like Ware.
|
We need a 3rd RB, and preferably one that already knows how to pass block for Mahomes. The other guys can carry the ball as far as I'm concerned. Let him be a threat between the tackles and BLOCK.
|
Charcandrick West Tweeted his retirement today
|
why not?
|
One thing I always liked about Ware was he was extremely consistent carry to carry. If he's anything like his old self this would be a key signing and make our rotation complete. I'm down.
|
Great! A jag do over.:shake:
|
In the past, he had decent hands, good speed, adequate burst & vision. Not great wiggle to make guys miss.
If he is what he used to be, he should be an excellent pickup & an improvement over Darrel (sp?). Depends on what fraction of his old self that he still retains. |
Can he run in the snow?

Andy loves his retreads.
Has anybody in the NFL had Ware in their sights? |

You’d think. |

Spencer Ware played in 13 games for the Chiefs last season. He is 28 years old and has career stats of 40 games, 340 attempts for 1,580 yards rushing, 59 receptions for 676 yards receiving, and 13 total TDs. In 2016 when he started 14 games, he had 4 fumbles.
The Chiefs could have tried to keep him in the offseason and chose to let him move on with the Colts. Spencer would know the team and the coaches and could join in the running back by committee group. If KC needs another back, I guess sign him up, |

But it’s late in the year and getting someone new schooled up enough might take a while... this will be a seamless deal, he can jump right in if needed All in all, this is the best move to be made IMO |
You aren't looking for or going to find a great RB on the street right now.
Ware knows the offense and can come in and step right in. |
He knows the offense. Moreover, fresh legs.
|
I always liked the guy. Sign him.
|
Why? Gawd this is shit.

He is pulling a dude around that is trying to rip off his flag football flag. still has leg strength |

CJ Anderson came off the street last year and was amazing for the Rams. Seasoned vet, proven production and recent production.
|
Where's spiller when you need him?
|
He can't have #32 back though.
Well if they do sign him, maybe #38 or #39. #20 - #29 all taken with #28 RB Abner Haynes - retired. #30 - RB Elijah McGuire and CB Alex Brown (practice squad) #31 - RB Darrel Williams #32 - S Tyrann Mathieu #33 - RB Stone Johnson - Retired # #34 - RB Darwin Thompson #35 - CB Charvarius Ward #36 - RB Mack Lee Hill - Retired # #37 - RB Joe Delaney - Not officially retired, but they have not been using it since Joe's passing. |

I take it back, they are being used but not as common.

What are you going to do in New England if Shady or Thompson get hurt early in the game? Roll with Sherman as the #2? Sheeeesh. |
Charkandrick retired today. Good dude.
|
Kenyan Drake and Alvin Kamara #41

1 is a guy that carries the FB like it's radioactive, and the other is a rookie who has seen limited action. So yeah, I think we need "another". |

Is Knile Davis available?

Spencer Ware would be nice, but CJ Anderson would be a quality signing as well. If he’s in shape.

Ware can catch the ball out of the backfield plus we need to reunite the LSU running backs with Darrell and Spencer

Ware can step right in, knows how to pass block etc. |

|
