In the 90's I ran a sporting apparel store.

From 1994-2000 I ran a sporting apparel store. I recently uncovered a ton of pictures. Did I have any Gametime Sports at Bannister Mall customers on here?

lewdog 10-20-2019 07:25 PM

You talking nudie pics?

wazu 10-20-2019 07:27 PM

I shopped there several times.

Strongside 10-20-2019 07:27 PM

I would be interested in seeing a few highlights purely for the nostalgia. I didn’t frequent the place, but I remember it.

wazu 10-20-2019 07:28 PM

I remember they had a completely red baseball cap with a Raiders logo on it. I was so confused. The guy behind the counter had to explain to me that for many it is just fashion, and part of an "outfit".

Deberg_1990 10-20-2019 07:29 PM

Bought some sweet Zubaz pants there in 94

But what if I want the brim to block out the sun when I need it but want to keep my hair out of my face when I don't?

Why do I have to buy two hats when one will do the same job?

It certainly would!

That said... what if it isn't sunny out and I want to rep my team while keeping my hair tucked away AND not have any of my view blocked by the brim?

/I literally just put on my two favorite caps to double check and both block the upper 25-35% of my view.

Flat billed hats is actually from the 80's. That is how all hats used to come. You could bend them if you like. No clue why they started making hats pre bent now. They just look dumb and gives you no options. You can always make a flat billed hat curved or a little curve as you see fit. I like flat bill hats with a slight curve to them, but not the idiotic super curved look hats come nowadays that make you look like a white trash idiot. Flat billed hats also have a fuller look to the crown of the hat as well.

What if I want to keep the sun off the back of my neck?

I flip mine back and forth, generally wear it correctly 90% of the time, but flip it back wards on occasion, like high wind, catching daughters fastpitch, and above example of protecting my neck when the sun is behind me.

What's worse is the wannabe fake bikers who roll their bills from the front like some damn goober from mayberry.

I rarely wear a hat though. After the military I kinda just gave it up. Not saying there is anything wrong with an adult wearing a cap, but I do get a chuckle of how many 40-50+ men wearing them like a 20 yr old.

I dont really get the age limit for wearing a hat thing. I dont look at it as fashion more functionality. When I was young it kept me from sun bleaching my hair out and looking like a cali beach surf doush. Then as I got older and my hair thinner it kept me from scorching my scalp.

There is no age limit on wearing a hat. I would say that styles vary wildly on many factors. Age and culture being the biggest 2.

I remembered him once you wrote the name. I just didn't think he was around enough for multiple jersey styles to be for sale so his name didn't come up when I was trying to remember who "J Smith" was. The the K State connection makes sense, though.

Just looked it up - he spent all 16 games of 1995 inactive and then tore his ACL in an off-season workout and never played again. That would be a pretty obscure jersey to have now.

1. My most popular jersey was the Rich Gannon Chiefs jersey (because I was the only store in the city to have it). I sold 200+ of them.
2. I sold Royals hats and jersey's like crazy, especially once I came up with the black and white.
3. The mall changed due to a couple of different things, one was the bus coming from the city and bringing all kinds of shit with it. Second was the stupid ass guard shacks that made everyone feel completely unsafe and third the entire are surrounding the mall got worse. Race had nothing to do with it, it was just trash.
4. Well I had a stockroom at the end of the mall that I used to **** some of the mall girls in.
