Who wins a Super Bowl first?
There's been a lot of hype about the Browns this off-season. (I'm personally not buying in until I see if Mayfield is the real deal)
Mayfield's growth will obviously play a huge role in how far the Browns can go, but they also have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. So my question is this - Who wins a Super Bowl first? The Chiefs. Or the Browns? |
CHIEFS
|
I meant to make a poll, but I forgot to check the poll box so no poll for you!
(Unless a mod feels nice and would like to add one in) |
Chiefs, I think and hope. Dorsey is a ****ing genius, though.
|
Chiefs already have one you dope.
|
Chiefs.

I'm thinking of maybe something in the near future? Maybe 2020 or so? |
I thought for sure the Brian Sipe era would have brought one to the Browns.....but ya Chiefs in a landslide.
|
This is a Chiefs forum with the NFL MVP QB on his rookie deal. Who wouldn't pick Chiefs?
|
Let the Browns get above .500 first.

Genius |
The Browns are still who they’ve always been. Unknown coach, first round qb, good amount of talent. But Browns are gonna Browns. 1 season above .500 in a decade.
Chiefs got this dawg! |

Chiefs, this isn't even a question worth asking.
Browns have so many question marks. I personally think they will cave to pressure/expectations and win significantly less than what everyone predicts. |

Sashi Brown gave Dorsey all of those resources. |
Ask again when the Browns win a playoff game
Or make the playoffs...or have a winning season Their the Raiders of the Midwest...without the ancient SB success to back it up. Every year is “their year.” Prove it on the field, for once |

They did him extremely dirty looking back. |
Chiefs are certainly closer now to winning a SB than the Browns. Right now, the Browns are a great team ON PAPER. We've seen that act before.
The Chiefs are a damn good team based on their actual performance last season. That's a big advantage. Plus Mahomes > Mayfield, and Reid > any first year HC. |
Quote:
1. Get good players 2. Draft the best QB available 3. Keep getting good players, add OBJ (this was robbery) Credit to finding the right guys, but personally I’m more baffled at how the Browns can be bottom feeders for 20 years than I am that a GM turned them into playoff contenders. Even the Lions didn’t stay bad for long. They only STUNK from 2001-2010. That’s half of the Browns period of suckitude |

Considering we’re winning the Super Bowl next season, I have to say Chiefs
|
Paper and the field are vastly different.;)

**** John whistle tooth Dorsey and his band of paper tigers. Chiefs got this shit.
|
chiefs... this season

Browns
Chiefs two years after that Then Chiefs again Then Browns Then Browns Then Chiefs Then Browns Then Chiefs Then Browns |
We're not splitting with those ****s. By the time Mahol
mes hangs it up, we're walking out of here with seven more titles, and at least one undefeated season.* *Up yours Miami. |
As an outsider, the Browns.

He helped turn around the 2-14 Chiefs to an 11-5 team in one season. That's an NFL record. He turned the Browns around from 0-16 to 7-8-1. They lost 5 games by 3 or less points points..three of those in OT...and another by 4 points. They had one tie. If just half of those swing the other way...they are 11-5 and in the play-offs in his first year. Dorsey's the shit...Chiefs ****ed up. Did I mention he drafted BOTH Mayfield and Mahomes...and Kelce, Hill, Hunt, Peters, C. Jones...and just landed OBJ? |
Let's see how long he can sustain it before crowning him please.
his successor in Kansas City inherited his nice big pile of s*** and had to go about trying to get it straightened out. So far, I'm far more impressed with what veitch has done then what Dorsey has done walking into an ideal situation. Let's wait until the GM playing field is leveled out, and then we'll see who's King. |
Also, I'm done trying to correct this phone's s***.

You could argue that by maneuvering to land Mahomes...it has given Veach a lot of immediate cap flexibility to get Watkins and Clark. Veach has been taken to the woodshed in compensation...both for his own players and others FAs. I guess we are just spoiled..that literally everything Dorsey touched tuned into all-pros. |
Quote:
How could a team that needs a QB, meet with Mahomes, and then pass on him? Idiots I knew Hunt was gonna be a stud just by watching film. Dorsey is good, but he separates himself mainly because other GMs think it’s smart to pass up on guys like Mahomes. As for KC messing up, both GMs look pretty good. Cleveland gets hype because they had a good young QB+cheap roster, a luxury Dorsey nor Veach never had in KC |
Quote:
Will Dorsey improve in Cleveland? Or will his cap management cost him in a few years? Too early to tell. |
Quote:
And again, dorsey's track record in Kansas city is 45% success tops. I've already been through it, posted it up for everyone to see, and I ain't going there again. |
Since we're doing the Dorsey debate again... I have another topic I'd like to explore...
Chris Ballard. He's pretty good. I'm not calling him bad or even mediocre. He's a solid, damn good GM. But Christ... the dick sucking people are doing to this guy. Whenever the Colts are brought up in conversation, a bunch of assholes start saying shit like, "Ballard might be the best GM in the league..." or "Ballard is a top 3 GM hands down..." He took over a team with a gimped Andrew Luck, which consequently started sucking, forcing the Colts to actually draft a team around their QB instead of just ****ing around with random shitty WRs. And he has hit on a bunch of their picks. Like, sure... good for him. Top 3? Why? Christ... the Colts are pretty close to being legit challengers to the Chiefs and the Patriots in the AFC all while their QB's mega contract now has some age on it and is turning into somewhat of a bargain. And they basically choose to stand pat in free agency? ****ing seriously? With THAT MUCH ****ing cap room they're just going to sit on their hands? Even notorious cheapskates like Ted Thompson would spend it on free agents whenever he actually had the money available. Like, there are the Brett Veach GMs. Super aggressive. At times he misfires, but when he hits on something, he gets what he wants. Spends his resources. And then there are Chris Ballards who have enough cap room to make Solomon blush and all they do is stick their fingers up their butts. |
Quote:
Even without Hill, KC has a superior offensive arsenal, especially when you factor in QB+coach. Add Hill and no one comes close to KC |
Chris Ballard is basically Carl Peterson if Carl had a real franchise QB (and not Joe Montana on his last legs)
He's probably going to wear out his welcome in a few years if he keeps this shit up |
The Browns are the Browns
|
Quote:
That's how you build a dynasty from the ground floor. Dorsey is repeating this in Cleveland...Veach is turning to high priced FAs. He gets a pass in his first shot...how the new defense fares will be his legacy. It's all his choices... That cap space is going to dry up soon...he's going to have to hit on some pro-bowl level draft picks to sustain the Chiefs. |
I'm just glad we only had to deal with a small amount of dorsey's contract work. In that regard, I think we really lucked out in having him hit the road when he did.
|
Quote:
once Mahomes has been signed to his deal, that changes everything. at that point, I'll have to take another assessment as will everyone else. but for now, it's the right way to do things. And even I have to admit that given what we had pick wise going into the draft, Veach did a killer job. that move we made to get hardeman was not something that an idiot can accomplish. That move was something that Dorsey would do. That was good trading. |
How many more years we have to keep paying Haglund boy again?
Thanks, Dorse |

You don’t think the guy that drafted and developed DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, Jason Kelce and Brent Celek in Philly without Dorsey had no part in drafting our offensive studs? Did you not read that Andy watched Kareem Hunt in his office on his tv in season when he was forming gameplans? Do you not realize that Andy not only drafted and coached Travis Kelce’s brother, but his own goddamn son was at Temple in the same conference as as Kelce and played against them? Do you just ignore facts and blow Dorsey continuously? I mean shit dude why do you think 90% of our best players drafted in the Reid era were an offense? Do you use your brain and think critically? |
Quote:
Dorsey orchestrated the Mahomes trade...one in which he would have been gone the very next pick to NO...sorry if I dont see Veach having that same type of savvy/intuition. Seems like you want to give everyone credit but Dorsey...yet he walks in and turns around a 0-16, perennially loser into a media darling in one season. See a pattern..obviously you dont or you wouldnt make such a stupid post. |

The Chiefs. Dorsey will have them competitive for the next three years, then they will be in cap hell due to his foolish decisions.

Chiefs. If Hill misses 8 games or less I fully expect it to be this year...

it doesn't take a genius to figure out mahomes was on a better team/organization, and that he would be in line for a title first. :thumb:

Put Patty on the Browns and you’d have a playoff team in Cleveland. Mahomes+Landry, OBJ, Chubb, and Hunt would be a top 12 NFL team |

I'm gonna say Chiefs. Gosh, I hope I'm right!!!

Jeff Chadiha said that Lamar Jackson would win a Super Bowl before Mahomes. Soren Petro bet him on it. I never heard if Petro collected on that bet, or what he won.
