Wow all three of those Redskins players -- Crowder, Reed & Swearinger -- are legit game-changers if they miss.

Hopefully Fisher can man up. Hopefully Ford is back in action soon.

penbrook 09-30-2017 01:09 PM

At least we get to see some K Pass. Fisher better be okay. I do not want to see Erving

jjchieffan 09-30-2017 01:11 PM

Sucks that Ford is going to miss. I wonder if he was crying on the field when he got hurt or if only Broncos players care enough to cry in front of everyone?

Buehler445 09-30-2017 01:12 PM

Is Dadi still on the PUP?

Yeah.

We've got two OLBs on PUP, and one out with injury.

Reed has been practicing and should play....from what I understand

Hog's Gone Fishin 09-30-2017 01:55 PM

We're gonna blow these ****ing Redskirts out, don't worry. Ford being out is a gain if Kpass takes his spot. Fisher needs to be replaced anyway. We get three more int's this week and Hill gets two long balls.

We'll be fine!

Have you seen Erving play?

The Franchise 09-30-2017 02:10 PM

My guess is Witzmann, Ehnger, Fulton, LDT, Schwartz.

Although that ****s us at depth.

Reid said Ehringer isn’t ready yet. So be prepared to see Mike Mcglynn 2.0 in Erving

Bob Dole 09-30-2017 02:18 PM

I'm looking forward to seeing KPass. I don't think we miss a beat on that front.

pugsnotdrugs19 09-30-2017 02:18 PM

I wouldn't want to shuffle the OL around and all that... just put Erving in at LT and roll. If he sucks, he sucks. I'm not f**king with Schwartz or Witzmann or any of that. The edge rushers are better coming off the right side these days anyway.

I also doubt they let KPass play all that much, though I'd love if he did. Probably a lot of Zombo...

RunKC 09-30-2017 02:23 PM

Terez A. Paylor @TerezPaylor
LT Eric Fisher (back) and LB Kevin Pierre-Louis (groin) are questionable for Monday's game against Washington.
3:13 PM · Sep 30, 2017

Well being listed as questionable is certainly better than doubtful. Good thing we have an extra day for him to rest.

It pisses me off that they didn't use KPass in obvious passing situations. I get that he's not ready to drop into coverage but come on. Rush him on some plays. No way is Zombo a better pass rusher.

Rain Man 09-30-2017 02:26 PM

This Fisher thing worries me. If it's a short-term thing I'd lean toward holding him out to let him heal up, rather than take the risk of losing him longer.

Erving is officially the backup left tackle. Leave everyone else as is, and run a lot of three-TE sets this game. Those are unstoppable, and it'll confuse future opponents.

penbrook 09-30-2017 02:33 PM

Ehringer is not on the injury report. He will be available Monday. Will he start? I doubt it

Have you seen Erving play LT? You might as well put DAT in that spot. The guy can't get out of the way of his own shitty feet much less stop a pass rusher.

If he sucks at LT, he probably sucks just as bad at RT... it doesn't really make a difference. If you move Schwartz to LT you run the risk of making him play worse via unfamiliarity, which means a double negative at LT/RT.

I was hoping the Chiefs were training him to be a swing G/C to replace Fulton after this season and not have anything to do with playing the edge. He sucks ass on the edge.

BlackOp 09-30-2017 03:28 PM

Redskin fans are most concerned with Foster being out. He's their DJ of the defense...gets everyone lined up. With all the misdirection and motion KC runs...this could be a pretty big loss.

Yeah, pretty much. Schwartz doesn't look athletic enough to handle LT to me, anyway.

I would like them to go with lots of 2 TE sets, and use Harris to help whomever (whoever?) is at LT this Monday. I say this with no humor or antagonism, but Mahomes better keep his helmet close this night.

I've been over this before.

This isn't a typo. This isn't ticky-tack stuff like spelling it "Brandon Albert" when it's supposed to be "Branden Albert." It's not confusing his name with other common spellings like when we had Ryan Sims and people would spell it Ryan Simms. And it's not even improperly confusing his name with another more common last name, like when people kept thinking our backup QB a few years ago was Chase Daniels.

Parker Ehinger's name is pronounced "Anger". Yeah, that's convoluted, and if I weren't told that, I'd probably pronounce it "Eh-hin-jerr" like a lot of people seem to want to do. But I was told what his name is. So now I know.

You're taking his name and turning it into Ehringer. Did you know an Ehringer or something? I've never once seen that last name come up. Does it exist? Potentially, sure. Do you know any Ehringers? Probably ****ing not. Do you know of an Ehinger? Yes, he was a draft pick who started a few games at OG for your favorite football team.

Why are you adding the r? Is it because you accidentally button mash your keyboard? No, the r key isn't located next to the h or the i key. Is it because accidentally assumed his last name was actually the more common Ehringer? No, because I'm 99.9% certain you don't know any ****ing Ehringers.

It's because you're a ****ing idiot and you don't know the dude's ****ing name. That's why you constantly think his name is Ehringer. Because you just don't ****ing know.

Spelling contest? This isn't a spelling contest. This is you getting a spelling word and forgetting what the ****ing word is before you write it down.

Hammock Parties 09-30-2017 05:08 PM

He can't spell because he's "penbroke."

RealSNR 09-30-2017 05:16 PM

I quoted his post where he said "Ehringer" and asked if he had a learning disability. He thought I was talking about Alex shit. I gave him a clue and said it referred to spelling. Then he thought I was talking about Cam Erving.

The guy didn't even know whose name he misspelled when I handed it to him on a silver ****ing platter. He legitimately doesn't know Parker Ehinger's last name.

Damn, both of their defensive captains are questionable...Swearinger didn't practice today.

That's essentially the middle of the field....Both ILBs (Foster and Compton) and their best safety..

Kelce could have a big game...

Unless he is still in the doghouse or if Fisher is out he will need to help block all game.

KC is in better shape than the Redskins....both of their defensive signal callers might not play. Reid is hard enough to defend without problems of communicating and getting the defense in proper alignment.

Hunt and Kelce are going to have a good game if they dont play.

Not sure if this was posted somewhere but listening to NFL Radio earlier and someone asked Geoff Schwartz to ask his brother what was going on with eric Fisher. He said he already knew what they were planning and couldn't say on the air because it wasn't known but then added that Erving would be LT if Fisher was out. Reading between the lines it sounded like Fisher will be out.

penbrook 09-30-2017 09:31 PM

The Redskins DC is Greg Manusky. Last time Reid played Manusky was when Chiefs scored 44 vs the Colts

If Fisher and KPL is out, here's our lineup for Monday night:

QB: Smith, Mahomes
RB: Hunt, West, Hunt
FB: Sherman

WR: Hill, Conley, Wilson, Robinson, Chesson, Thomas
TE: Kelce, Harris

LT: Witzmann, Erving
LG: Ehinger, Devey
C: Fulton, Devey
RG: Duvarney-Tardif, Devey
RT: Schwartz, Erving

DE: Jones, Jenkins
NT: Logan, Miller
DE: Bailey, Nunez-Roches

OLB: Zombo, Kpassagnon
ILB: Wilson, Smith, Ragland
ILB: Johnson, Eligwe
OLB: Houston, Kpassagnon

CB: Peters, Mitchell, Gaines, Acker, White
S: Parker, Sorensen, Murray, Terrell

K: Butker
P: Colquitt
LS: Winchester

That still ought to be enough to win this game, I think.

Hammock Parties 10-01-2017 12:07 PM

If we seriously start Witzmann at LT there is going to be a shitload of TEs on the field.

That's probably true no matter who you put at LT.

Our options:

Witzmann (who you don't want to move from LG)
Erving (who has been on this team less than a month -- and sucks)
Devey (sucks)
Schwartz (who do you put at RT against Kerrigan?)

I think Devey or Erving make the most sense at LT, but I think moving Witzmann and playing Ehinger keeps the team true to the "play your best 5" OL truism.

David Cross has this great bit where he was talking a crazy Nazi walking around whatever town saying "hi Hitler!" with his palm in the air.

Like -- did he just watch all that footage and just think the Nazis were all saying hi to Hitler?

This team crawls through injuries all the time and still wins.

Any team but the Pats would collapse with what the Chiefs have gone through in the last 3 seasons.

That would suck. But maybe Erving will play at a serviceable level. I mean, he can't be any worse than having Jah Reid, Jordan Black, or Donald Stephenson can he? Andy will adjust the scheme to help cover that side too I'm sure. I expect to see lots of short, quick passes and a tight end staying in to help block.
