Ware injury not so bad?
David J. Chao, MD
David J. Chao, MD @ProFootballDoc · 6m By video, #Ware news seems to be better than #Edelman. Good news: do not see ligament tear mechanism Bad news: could be meniscus Tyler Riordan @MrSportsTake @ProFootballDoc Spencer Ware video. Just watch first angle, it's when he pushes off/cuts, right knee. Bent slight in. 2nd angle doesn't show https://mobile.twitter.com/ProFootba...69821366697984 |

Year and a half after they fix it twice before they find out it's something else
|
Well, my 65 year old father tore his meniscus, and was walking around fine 2 days after his (very minor) surgery with no pain.
Let's hope it's on that end of the spectrum! |

Chiefs think it is a PCL injury.

A grade 1 sprain typically takes 10 days to heal completely while a grade 2 sprain takes about 3 weeks. Depending on the severity, an athlete can return to sport from anywhere 2-8 weeks after the injury but fortunately there are no other injuries to the knee to complicate the recovery. |

Can he play RB? :hmmm: |

We are talking about team doctors here. They did such a bang up job on Charles and Houston you know.
|

Did they have to amputate?

Hope he is ok but we are fine without him imo. If we lost Hill or Fisher for example, we'd be ****ed.
|
DeAngelo Williams come on down!!!
You're the next contestant on The Checkdowns Are Just Right!!!!! |
Kareem Hunt and TrashCanDick got this! No worries
|
Looks like spiller may have a job after all.
|
Hope he's ok but we are fine at running back
|
so I know nothing more about his injury now than I did before clicking in... great.
With Ware in, I felt the RB corps was strong. Now? and after seeing Hunt try to pass block? yeah.. not so much. 50 pass attempts per game.. Smiff or Mahomo. |

Pretty sure we will have a bottom 5 rushing offense
|

Kareem Hunt is the most talented RB we've had since Jamaal |
Hearing on the radio this morning that if it's minor, it's 3-5 weeks.
I'd take that |
Quote:
Run blocking already looks better and should improve even more when Ehinger returns and we added Hunt and Spiller...I bet we're top 10 in rushing. This is still an Alex Smith offense. |
Nelson still sucks tho
|

Let's ignore the fact that he was extremely solid/consistent all of last year because he got beat a couple times in a preseason game. |

If Ware's injury is as bad as some are suggesting, the Chiefs will need to sign Ryan Mathews or DeAngelo Williams or pull a rabbit out of their hat because this running back corp isn't going to get it done without Ware. |
I think I will just sit back and wait for MRI results.

****ing Teicher: The Chiefs remain hopeful they will get running back Spencer Ware back at some point before the end of the season. "It's not one of those things that's just clear cut, end of the season, coach Andy Reid said. "That's not what it is right now. We've got to go through the whole process here in this case." Ware injured his right knee and Friday night's exhibition loss to the Seattle Seahawks. |
Dr. Mark Adickes
Dr. Mark Adickes @jocktodoc Early word on .@Chiefs RB Spencer Ware is R knee PCL injury. Video makes complete tear unlikely. Could return in 4 weeks and avoid surgery. 8:53 AM · Aug 26, 2017 This would be great. Proabably back by week 3 in this scenario. |

Happy but surprised. |

Sometimes a change of scenery works out. How much production did Joe McKnight have prior to suiting up for us? I remember he was pretty instrumental in beating the Dolphins and kicking off our 5 or 7 game win streak. |
Quote:
He's 30 years old and has really done nothing in this league. Joe McKnight was 26 when he played for the Chiefs. He had 1 rush for 3 yards and 6 receptions for 64 yards. Not exactly All World. |
I bet ware plays week 1
|
Hope so best we got so far.
|
We have a great fullback but that would take away a lot things Andy wants to do and make our QB more prone to dump offs.
|
The Chiefs should probably look into bringing in Stevan Ridley when Denver cuts him.
|
This MRI is taking some time. I wonder if there is swelling.
|
Any chance we can flip the broncos a draft pic to get charles back<
|
Joe Mcknights career sure hit a road block

Besides the Broncos brass are really high on "Deangleo Henderson" IF JC doesn't work out. |
Who gets the bulk of the carries if he's out week 1?

Seattle has a plethora of RB's.

I figured that Hunt would get more and more carries as the season progressed to where he'd probably be the lead back by Week 12 but this is definitely unexpected (although it shouldn't be, considering Ware's constant nagging injuries). Hunt's going to be forced into the role, which isn't necessarily a good thing. I'm sure he'll do "okay" to start but he's got an uphill climb, not only with protections but with his vision. The guy misses obvious holes. |
Hunt ran over Earl Thomas last night.
..not worried. EB will coach him up on vision, etc. |
Quote:
My point was there's no reason to think we're going to drop to a bottom 5 run offense now. |

People are overreacting to one missed hole. You guys failed to see his other good decisions throughout the game. He's going to miss some holes because he loves contact. Avoiding contact is not natural for him. But he is still capable of finding holes and avoiding defenders.
|
Dane I've never hoped you were wrong more so than right now - where Spiller is concerned - may turn out we need him, more than we know right now.
|
The Ware and Tear on these players...

I'm not expecting Spiller to be much help as he'll likely get injured before the season starts.

I know what STaylor meant but that's still amusing. I'll sign the dotted line for 5 weeks right now. |
Damnit Ware. He new the offense and all the protections.

Multi-ligament injury never good. Hope sprain/partial, if so, multi-week absence. if torn, could be season. Going to miss games. IR/dfr? Hoping it's only a sprain |

Nothing against Ware, but this could be a blessing in disguise.
Hunt is going to kill it. |
