Good news: do not see ligament tear mechanism
Bad news: could be meniscus
Tyler Riordan @MrSportsTake

@ProFootballDoc Spencer Ware video. Just watch first angle, it's when he pushes off/cuts, right knee. Bent slight in. 2nd angle doesn't show

Do we know a timeframe for meniscus? Whatever the fock that means

threebag 08-25-2017 09:22 PM

Year and a half after they fix it twice before they find out it's something else

Dante84 08-25-2017 09:24 PM

Well, my 65 year old father tore his meniscus, and was walking around fine 2 days after his (very minor) surgery with no pain.

Let's hope it's on that end of the spectrum!

If it's torn, it's arthroscopic instead of cutting your knee open with a machete.

Chiefs think it is a PCL injury.

How long does it take to recover from a PCL tear?
A grade 1 sprain typically takes 10 days to heal completely while a grade 2 sprain takes about 3 weeks. Depending on the severity, an athlete can return to sport from anywhere 2-8 weeks after the injury but fortunately there are no other injuries to the knee to complicate the recovery.

Tyshawn Taylor from KU tore his meniscus one time in January, and missed I want to say 0 or 1 game.

Same as an ACL .

so I know nothing more about his injury now than I did before clicking in... great.

With Ware in, I felt the RB corps was strong. Now? and after seeing Hunt try to pass block? yeah.. not so much. 50 pass attempts per game.. Smiff or Mahomo.

50 passes? Prob the rookie. If we have to throw that much it means the run game is non existent and when it's gone Alex is pretty ineffective.

Sounds good. I'm getting older now and don't have the patience/tolerance for this "matriculating offense" anymore. Throw the rook in... let him scramble around like a loon, and chuck it deeep 20 x a game, and let me go all

We were 15th last year and our run blocking was the worst it's been for a while...And all we had was Ware.

Run blocking already looks better and should improve even more when Ehinger returns and we added Hunt and Spiller...I bet we're top 10 in rushing. This is still an Alex Smith offense.

Spiller is a ****ing joke. I don't know why so many people are high on that 30 year old broke dick that hasn't scored a TD since 2013.

If Ware's injury is as bad as some are suggesting, the Chiefs will need to sign Ryan Mathews or DeAngelo Williams or pull a rabbit out of their hat because this running back corp isn't going to get it done without Ware.

****ing Teicher:

The Chiefs remain hopeful they will get running back Spencer Ware back at some point before the end of the season. "It's not one of those things that's just clear cut, end of the season, coach Andy Reid said. "That's not what it is right now. We've got to go through the whole process here in this case." Ware injured his right knee and Friday night's exhibition loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Sometimes a change of scenery works out.

How much production did Joe McKnight have prior to suiting up for us? I remember he was pretty instrumental in beating the Dolphins and kicking off our 5 or 7 game win streak.

Spiller's had plenty of "scenery changes" after being cut by Buffalo. He played for the Jets and Saints last year and garnered 13 whole yards rushing and 6 receiving.

He's 30 years old and has really done nothing in this league.

Joe McKnight was 26 when he played for the Chiefs. He had 1 rush for 3 yards and 6 receptions for 64 yards.

Not exactly All World.

We have a great fullback but that would take away a lot things Andy wants to do and make our QB more prone to dump offs.

The Chiefs should probably look into bringing in Stevan Ridley when Denver cuts him.

If Charles does not flash tonight he will be cut just like Hali I assure you. Charles has had several Dr.s tell him he should retire with those knees and Elway will find this out tonight IMHO.;)

Besides the Broncos brass are really high on "Deangleo Henderson" IF JC doesn't work out.

Reid's said this morning that Kareem Hunt is the #1 guy moving forward.

I figured that Hunt would get more and more carries as the season progressed to where he'd probably be the lead back by Week 12 but this is definitely unexpected (although it shouldn't be, considering Ware's constant nagging injuries).

Hunt's going to be forced into the role, which isn't necessarily a good thing. I'm sure he'll do "okay" to start but he's got an uphill climb, not only with protections but with his vision.

The guy misses obvious holes.

stevieray 08-26-2017 03:53 PM

Hunt ran over Earl Thomas last night.

..not worried. EB will coach him up on vision, etc.

Can you coach a running back up on vision? I think it's more about just encouraging Hunt to slip tackles rather than lower a shoulder. Maybe that's what you meant. :)

Best22 08-26-2017 04:22 PM

People are overreacting to one missed hole. You guys failed to see his other good decisions throughout the game. He's going to miss some holes because he loves contact. Avoiding contact is not natural for him. But he is still capable of finding holes and avoiding defenders.

Simply Red 08-26-2017 05:28 PM

You'll find people on CP fixate on things that the announcers point out during games. Fouts mentioned the one play where Hunt missed a huge hole (mostly because he was following his ineffective blockers) and now "Hunt misses holes"
