WAT?
This is why we can't have nice things
Is it possible Dorsey wanted to extend Alex and Reid stood on the table for Mahomes in spite of him?
and soon, the Chiefs' path becomes the 2014-2016 49ers' path.
If Mahomes becomes the Kaepernick of that time... |
Even the hosts on 610 sounded shocked.
Crazy. Why? |
Wasn't there some talk of him going back to Green Bay or something. Guess maybe it was true.
Dorsey and Reid must really hate each other.
But his wife is from here?!?!
Dorsey wanted more power?
Flaccid
I hate everything. This is the worst move we've made in decades.
This is some ****ed up shit.
They allow Chris Ballard to go to Indy, then essentially fire John Dorsey? JFC. |
or Reid got extended and Dorsey was like "hey,...where's my money' and Clark danced around it and Dorsey said "**** it. I'm out"
The article reads more like Clark decided not to keep him rather than a "mutual understanding"

:cuss: Because Chiefs. |
At least we did this before Ballard could get away. Wait, what?
I'm sad now.

Dorsey's going back to GB.
And we let Ballard leave? What the ****?
Wow... so, there's that.
Worst move ever for the ChUNT folks.
Welp
So who's our GM?

Well shit
Chiefs can't stop themselves from being the Chiefs.
Somebody please tell me that we have a competent guy within our organization to run things.
just odd. hard to believe someone who has had successs here like Dorsey, dedicated thousands of hours, just up and says I'm out.
unless, GB or some other team offers eleventy billion dollars for him and he wanted Clark to match and was informed they wouldn't be paying that much. no idea. |
How could Hunt screw this up?
They finally had a GM with a good eye for talent and they **** it up. |
This organization is such ass. What a joke compared to the other side of the parking lot.
Dorsey did want to go back to Green Bay.
Because chiefs

That's what drafting a QB in the first gets you here.

Chiefs fired GM John Dorsey.
It's a stunning, baffling move. Like coach Andy Reid, Dorsey was heading into the final year of his contract. Owner Clark Hunt informed Dorsey he would not be receiving an extension, essentially firing him by way of forcing him out. Dorsey was hired to do Reid's bidding. There had been no indications of friction. Reid's already mammoth power in Kansas City now increases. It's hard to know how much of Reid's credit Dorsey deserved, but on the surface, he did an absolutely fantastic job during his four years with the Chiefs. He won't be on the open market for long. A Ted Thompson acolyte, Dorsey has been mentioned as a possible successor for Thompson in Green Bay. |
crash.

I think Dorsey porked Chunt's wife.

Rumors are flying that Brett Veach might be the new GM. Holy shit
Unbelievable! :#
WHAAAAAAAAAT??
Same as it always was. Reid was always in power.

Chiefs, Dorsey Agree to Part Ways Posted 10 minutes ago PR Staff Kansas City Chiefs Public Relations Official Press Release Email @ChiefsPR The Kansas City Chiefs and John Dorsey have agreed to part ways effective immediately, Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt announced today. “I notified John that we would not be extending his contract beyond the 2017 season, and after consideration, we felt it was in his best interests and the best interests of the team to part ways now,” Hunt said. “This decision, while a difficult one, allows John to pursue other opportunities as we continue our preparations for the upcoming season and the seasons to come. My family and I sincerely appreciate John’s work over the last four-and-a-half years, and we wish him nothing but the best in the future.” Dorsey was named the sixth general manager in Kansas City Chiefs history on January 14, 2013. In 2016, Dorsey completed his 27th NFL season as a personnel member. He originally entered the NFL ranks as a linebacker with the Green Bay Packers in 1984 before joining the Packers personnel staff in 1991. “I want to thank Clark, the Hunt family and the Chiefs fans for the opportunity to be a part of Chiefs Kingdom over the last four seasons,” Dorsey said. “I believe this team is well positioned for the future and I wish Coach Reid, the players and the entire organization all the best.” |
Well it was fun having a competent, credible, respected organization for a few years, guys.
I mean sure, it was the same dry hand-jobs this team has always given us, but hey a nut's a nut, right? We just can't have nice things... |

That's brilliant you let the heir apparent guy leave then fire Dorsey, more typical Chiefs shit. This is why being a fan of this franchise just leaves you broken.
Loser franachise
Burn Arrowhead to the ****ing ground.
Just cancelled rest of patients for today and tomorrow. Time to get heavily medicated.

I bet this has to do with Reid's extension. Reid probably demanded he get GM duties or something to that effect.
What was the tipping point? Maclin? Mahomes?
BlackOp is going to lose his shit... somehow, the NFL is involved and this was the price for getting PH2 and 6 PT games.
So Ballard leaves, then fire Dorsey.
Welp |
The only thing I can think of is that Andy Reid wanted full power as part of his new contract.
Clark left him a voicemail.
If he goes to GB, then i doubt there's anything Clark could have done to make him stay.
