Mr. Laz 03-09-2017 10:50 AM

Andy Reid gets really attached to his players.

That's good and bad.

loochy 03-09-2017 10:50 AM

bro can fake punt with the best of them

Red Dawg 03-09-2017 10:50 AM

Alex staying was a horribly stupid move and keeping this bum is almost just as stupid. Dorsey not impressing me this off season. Berry money was way to much and now he's retained two losers he should have cut.

It sucks and prevents the team from moving on to better things. It's like DV keeping Hicks because he a nice guy. It's bullshit.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-09-2017 10:52 AM

Somebody please offer this guy a damn contract that we can't match.

TimeForWasp 03-09-2017 10:56 AM

Tender, Oh so tender.

hometeam 03-09-2017 10:58 AM

Once they are tendered, is the money guaranteed?

Can we cut him halfway through training camp for free?

How do magnets work?

THESE ARE QUESTIONS THAT NEED ANSWERS

RunKC 03-09-2017 10:58 AM

You guys are hilarious. We knew he'd be back.

He's frustrating but he's the #4 WR at best and he's making like $1 million. That's not hurting us in any way.

The Franchise 03-09-2017 10:59 AM

Good ****ing God. Go away.

I "think" we can pull the tender until they sign it. Once signed, we'd have to pay it.

Exactly.

People forget he was one of our biggest contributors after Maclin and Kelce in 2015. He's not great, but he does neat things on occasion.

JFC. What a dumb decision

Definitely. We all knew we'd have to tighten the belt.

He knows the offense, probably, forward and backward at this point and he comes cheap. You aren't likely to get more of a contribution from a rookie.

With any luck he'll remain our 5th or 6th option in the passing game.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-09-2017 11:03 AM

He's pretty good on screens, and he can get open with pick routes and double moves on occasion....

That's it.

In58men 03-09-2017 11:04 AM

Why is he still on this ****ing team?

He's not a good WR. Plain and simple. He's gator armed more passes than he has scored touchdowns.

Instead of filling skill positions on offense with a couple of high quality starters, we instead seek out a bevy of gadget players.

RunKC 03-09-2017 11:10 AM

Wilson has some value even if it's not much. Demarcus Robinson probably won't play too much IMO and the guy knows the offense. He scored 3 TD's last year which isn't bad for a #4 WR.

They will probably draft someone this year to learn for a year and then take over next season.

You guys should be pissed that DAT is still here. That guy made even Albert Wilson look like Tyreek Hill in comparison.
I can't think of one good thing DAT did last year. No play comes to mind.

Pasta Little Brioni 03-09-2017 11:15 AM

Tell me where I said he's a good receiver? Like Run said, he's 4th or 5th on the receiving depth chart. For the price, he's worthy of staying on the roster.
Averages 3 looks a game and he'll catch 2 of those targets.

He is one of the best blocking WR and his ST contributions.

Sandy Vagina 03-09-2017 11:50 AM

I'd have not bothered, but if he is the #4-#5 wideout option.. and he is.. it's not an awful move. The tender would not be guaranteed until week 1, iirc, so KC can still move on if they upgrade before then.

Mother****erJones 03-09-2017 12:01 PM

 This ****ing guy sucks. He's also terrified to make a catch and has alligator arms.

Mr. Laz 03-09-2017 12:06 PM

Wilson should sign this as fast as he possibly can, i doubt he gets a better offer anywhere.

He's taking a spot that SHOULD BE used for a super athletic draftee or UDFA with a bunch of upside.

I guess i just can't let go of the 2 years he 'took off' before finally showing some heart in his contract year. Do you think he's going to play harder again once he gets another contract?

jjchieffan 03-09-2017 12:23 PM

You guys are hilarious getting all worked up about keeping our 4th reciever at not much more than vet minimum. I could see the outrage if he was our 2 or even 3. But he is right where he belongs. For a 4th reciever and 5th or 6 option overall, what exactly do you expect?? Brandin Cooks isn't coming here to be our 4 receiver. If he goes, his replacement likely won't be any better.

I feel the same as you, in regard to his slackassery.

This tender still doesn't make me agitated though. He will still have to "play hungry" for some future contract.. and he does know the system well. AND.. as I said.. and believe to be true. He's not taking up a roster spot for the year thus far. KC can still part ways if they upgrade over him prior to September.

This. I have no clue why people get so worked up about this guy. He's a 4th WR and about the 6th option after Kelce and whoever is at RB.

I suppose I should have just quoted this.

pugsnotdrugs19 03-09-2017 12:57 PM

Sure he's the 4th WR right now, but he's one injury away from starting. We've seen that show before, he has no upside in that role.

There is a very strong chance he starts games again next year, and that's not good for the Chiefs.

It's not really a big issue except that the Chiefs seem to think that they are better than they really are and it pisses people off.

Chiefs shouldn't be 'standing pat' like they just went to the super bowl and are looking to repeat.

This

Same with pass rushers and cornerbacks

The draft is next month. Let's see what they do.

Options are limited right now.

We can draft a guy who, in all likelihood, would contribute even less than Wilson. FAs worth a shit will come too costly.

Titty Meat 03-09-2017 01:28 PM

Reminds me of the Vermil days everyone was friends so they kept them all around. The good ol boy network hasn't left Arrowhead.

I'd rather have the 15 year vet Anquan Boldin than Albert Wilson. At least Boldin is a tough mother****er who is not afraid to take a hit.

Cut him a break. How the hell would he know Alex was going to throw it to a wide receiver?

Bewbies 03-13-2017 12:40 PM

I'd be willing to bet if Aaron Rodgers was throwing him the ball we'd wish Dorsey could draft WR's so easily.

Obviously, Alex Smith should have thrown that ball 3 inches to the left.

I think its always better to bring in another JAG rather than keep your own. a JAG on a new team usually plays like they have something to prove and you seem to get more production out of them for a year
