*Your Predictions for CHIEFS vs. PITT Divisional Game at Arrowhead!*

*****Chiefs vs. Steelers Predictions*****

Who is going to win?

Score?

Who is going to be the defensive star of the game? For the offense?

Any other predictions?

chinaski 01-10-2017 09:22 AM

Chiefs will get one Special Teams Touchdown, 2 Field Goals by Santos, one Defensive Touchdown and one Offensive Touchdown.

Steelers, 2 Offensive Touchdowns and one Field Goal.

Chiefs 27 Steelers 17

I think this sounds close to right....Go Chiefs

BlackHelicopters 01-10-2017 09:52 AM

PITT by 10. Because Chiefs.

The Franchise 01-10-2017 10:00 AM

Chiefs - 27
Steelers - 24

Prison Bitch 01-10-2017 10:02 AM

24-20 us

ChiefRocka 01-10-2017 10:05 AM

30-17 chiefs

O.city 01-10-2017 10:05 AM

Chiefs will have to score 30 plus to win, from where I'm sitting.

I'll go 31-24 steelers. Just a bad matchup for kc.

Pasta Little Brioni 01-10-2017 10:07 AM

Game moved to STL :)

Anyong Bluth 01-10-2017 10:17 AM

Chiefs - 37
Steelers - 23

JakeLV 01-10-2017 10:18 AM

Steelers over the Chiefs. Offense will fail in the RZ, while Le'Veon Bell will be their entire RZ offense.

ptlyon 01-10-2017 10:23 AM

My prediction: if the Chiefs get up by two scores and then go into a shell, I will be purchasing a new tv

MeaTy The Pimp 01-10-2017 10:28 AM

It is going to be a tough game, but I think the Chiefs pull out a squeaker at home.

Chiefs 24
Squeelers 21

They can't play the Steelers like they did the Titans because the Steelers running game is 10 times better than the Titans. We need to go up big and stay up to take the running game away.

Tribal Warfare 01-10-2017 10:32 AM

Rothlisberger and the Steelers offense will hang 28 or points. Alex will get lit up by a Steeler hit/tackle then will throw int and after it will start playing in a shell.

Chiefnj2 01-10-2017 10:32 AM

I want snow and ice and freezing rain. It'll help eliminate Pitt's long ball.

Alex played one of his best games in freezing rain. (2015 vs. Buffalo)

pugsnotdrugs19 01-10-2017 10:43 AM

Chiefs 27, Steelers 20

Santos hits 2 FGs. Chiefs score one on defense or STs, or make a play that sets the offense up to score easily. Alex throws 2 TDs to Maclin and Hill. Pittsburgh starts fast but as the game wears on the Chiefs defense adjusts and allows just 7 in the second half.

Rain Man 01-10-2017 10:44 AM

Justin Houston is going to play, which means that the margin of victory will be whatever the Chiefs score. I'll go with 31-0 Chiefs. I don't see any way that Pittsburgh can put up points, and I think Playoff Alex will go wild.

Shawny2X4 01-10-2017 10:47 AM

Chiefs - 30

This isn't the irrational optimistic thread.

Besides you've already jinxed the Chiefs with your other thread.

So take off my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up forever!

KC_Lee 01-10-2017 10:49 AM

KC - 28
Pitt - 16

The game remains close but a 4th quarter pick by Peters ices the game for KC.

BleedingRed 01-10-2017 10:56 AM

Chiefs - 38
Steelers - 34

MMXcalibur 01-10-2017 11:00 AM

Chiefs: x
Steelers: x - 10

Solve for x.

Dayze 01-10-2017 11:06 AM

I suspect it'll be like the Bama vs Clemson game last night.

Chiefs get up early, dominate on defense....then forget how to play offense and not convert 3rd downs all 2nd half, let Pitt back into the game, then when we actually need the defense, they'll be too exhausted to stop Pitt.

24-20 Pitt.

Has no one looked at the Home / Road splits of Pittsburgh's average points per game. . .

It's about a 10 point difference.

Pittsburgh on the road is barely above a .500 team, and that counts road games against the Bengals and Browns. The Chiefs are going to murder them.

Chiefs by a couple. 20-17.

Yep, I'm definitely optimistic, hoping for the best etc.
1st half will tell us alot about how the rest of the game is going to go.
if that makes sense.

The Steelers rely on things which can generally be relied upon: a franchise QB and an elite running game.

The Chiefs rely on things which are incredibly unreliable -- special teams, turnovers. If these things happen once again, Chiefs can win the game. But since I'd never predict a team to win based on forcing turnovers vs a first-ballot Hall of Fame franchise QB, I'll go with:

Steelers 27
Chiefs 17

...and seriously hope I'm wrong and we can create those turnovers and huge plays we'd need.

As for weather, I don't know. If it forces the Steelers to run more, that could be a bad thing. Although Big Ben can carve us up, he COULD also make mistakes. Game-changers. If we don't stop Bell -- and we've shown ZERO signs all year we could do that -- how are we ever gonna get off the field?

Umm... In that stretch, they beat the Bengals, colts, bills and browns. Not exactly world class opponents

Steelers 24

Roethlisberger on the road.

@Bengals - 286 yards and 1 TD
@Bills - 220 yards and 3 INTs
@Colts - 221 yards and 3 TDs
@Browns - 167 yards and no TDs
@Ravens - 264 yards and 1 TD/ 1 INT
@Dolphins - 189 yards and 1 TD/ 2 INTs
@Eagles - 257 yards and 0 TDs/ 1 INT
@Redskins - 300 yards and 3 TDs/ 1 INT

Only 3 of his 8 games away this year has he completed more than 60% of his passes. Those three opponents were the Colts, Browns and Redskins.

As others have already posted it and you can see they're not the same team home vs away.

In full disclosure and to be fair, they're still not a great match up for us. We actually match up better against the Pats than Pittsburgh, but it being a home game is a major plus for us. The outcome will rest with holding them to FGs instead of TDs. I seriously doubt they're are going to keep Bell under 150. But, that means nothing big over the top for a TD and limiting Bell on runs of over 15 yards and minimizing his yards after 1st contact. Wrap up!

Coming out aggressive and getting Pittsburgh behind in the score can effectively neuter them from gashing our weak rush D and greatly increase the chances of picking off Ben 1 or 2 times.

The Franchise 01-10-2017 03:36 PM

Steelers Offensive PPG away: 22 PPG

Tired of everybody here p*ssing down their legs. Pathetic.

One brutal shitstorm in primetime doesn't determine the outcome of this game. Actually it might, as our players should be more motivated than theirs. History is on the side of teams looking for revenge, especially in front of a raucous crowd.

The two road games that sandwiched that debacle were beatdowns by mediocre teams. Their loss in Philly was equally embarrassing to ours in Pitt. There's no denying that they've been a far better team at home than on the road. Of course Bell will be difficult to contain. They're saying the same about Hill.

Team is rested and as healthy as it's been all year. Andy had 2 weeks to prepare (and likely prepared for Pitt the entire time). Crowd will be amped. Players will be amped. Smith looking to prove himself. Offense seems to have hit its stride. Roethlisberger likely not 100%. There's a lot working in KC's favor here.
