****Official Raiders @ Texans WCG****
Somebody had to do it.
So who we posta root for then? Dinny |
Not a fan of either, but I know come game-time, my stronger interest is going to be in seeing Oakland lose and be demoralized. NE will rape either of them next weekend anyway.

Freighters superbowl

Whoever ends up winning this game, I at least hope they bring some type of physicality at New England and beat them up somewhat. The patriots get enough of a cakewalk season to season with their perennial weak ass schedules.

**** the Faders- I hope they are one and done.

I would never wish injury on a player, but could you imagine if one of the Texans' players took Brady out? Belichick might send a hit squad out to wipe O'Brien off the planet. Now that would be some good NFL drama! both Belichick and O'Brien are curmudgeons at their best.

Pats are good, but they've beaten nobody of merit. Hoping cook can come out and be productive. Seems they have the o line to beat NE, unless their lg is out again next week. I'm still not counting Miami out yet.
|
I'd love for it to work out to beat the Raiders a 3rd time.

Looking forward to Romeos defense confounding the hapless fade
|
So the fade wins we will play them then?
|
#1 defense in the league against a mediocre rookie qb making his first start? Texans are going to run away with this.

Pats get lowest seed winner no matter what. |

I was wanting the Fade, but guess it's the steelers for us |

The winner of this game is a lock to be bounced next week. |
Quote:
And if the Fade DO happen to pull it out today, the loss next week they would suffer might be historical. |
Since ESPN was given a Wild Card playoff game to broadcast starting two years ago they have had the following games:
2015: Arizona vs. Carolina featuring an Arizona team with back-up Ryan Lindley as their QB against a 7-8-1 Carolina team. 2016: Chiefs vs. Houston, with Brian Hoyer as Houston's QB. 2017: Oakland vs. Houston, featuring Connor Cook vs. Brock Assmuncher as the QB match-up. ESPN paying a shit load of $$$ for those crappy match-ups. |

As for the Pats, I agree the Texans probably won't have much chance. I'd prefer they face their division rival Miami. Regardless, NE is a tough nut at home. |
Raiders 16
Texans 21 |

In all seriousness the Pats will face a weaker than usual divisional round opponent this year. Miami could give the Chiefs the same advantage if they beat Pitt but I think its unlikely. |
whats the over/under on cook either flopping the game or having the greatest playoff game ever for a rookie :D
hard to defend someone when the only gametape is from college |
This game (and every ESPN game) misses Mike Tirico.
I'll never forget his call on the Knile Davis kick return last year. |
Let's go Raiders, let's go Dolphins!
|
do you think this will warrant an opening of the chat room?

Donald Penn out for the Faiders.....so 3rd string qb and backup LT.
Could be a long day for the Faiders offense. |
It's so nice to be watching the Raiders instead the Chiefs right now...[emoji16]

Cook will get destroyed by this defense.
|
a bit off topic
Anyone here live in a city that freaked out because of the snow? Hows it going? |
well this game isn't supposed to amount to much but, for once this year i'm actually going to sit down and watch some football. thanks to ABC for carrying the game so i won't have to watch it on ESPN, and best of luck to the Texans today.

So Oakland's quarterback had never even dressed on game day until last week, and their left tackle is making his first start at the position. This should be entertaining.

I honestly don't give a rat's ass who wins.
|
Even though Oakland should probably be awarded the home game here for winning 3 more games than Houston and beating them earlier this year, it serves them right to have to play in Houston after the ref screwjob that Houston got in the first game.

No bread in the stores. Didn't they ask everyone to be off the roads at X time? We had some ice the other day. Once the salt went down, it melted the ice and then it evaporated. I should have taken a picture of driving today through the cloud of salt dust coming off the road. |

I kind of hope Oakland gets destroyed so bad that they tailspin for a few more years.... |
