Seattle? Seriously? They are in the worst division in the league and only managed to win 10 games and they are going to beat NE? I don't see it at all.

ThaVirus 01-04-2017 06:28 PM

Seattle's always winning games that they shouldn't. Every year they win like 3-4 games they absolutely should not win.

This year they've dealt with some injuries and haven't seemed to win those aforementioned games so maybe the universe is in the process of balancing itself out.

MahiMike 01-04-2017 06:33 PM

I'm actually doing a pool at work like this. Each game is worth 1 point. Perfect score is 11. It's cool because just like a basketball tourney, you have to get your early picks right.

They only beat the 2-14 49ers by 2 points on Sunday. I don't see how they are going to beat NE, much less all the teams they need to beat to get to the SB (going by RunKC's prediction).

Well they already beat the Patriots in New England so you don't even have to use your imagination.

I'll stab someone if Seattle wins. They're the Luckiest team of the past 5 years. That NFCCG against the Packers was just pure bullshit.

They've made some shit personnel decisions, particularly on the OL, that are really biting them in the ass this season.

Combine that with the competition in the NFC this season and I don't think they make it past the Divisional Round.

They have LITERALLY already beat NE, dude.

In Foxboro, ffs.

Do you people even watch football outside of KC?

By the way, the transitive properly simply doesn't work in football. The 12-4 Chiefs lost to non-playoff trash like Tampa and Tennessee.

They beat the Redskins, Packers, Steelers and ravens, lions and bucs.

The hard teams they faced, they beat handidly, so I'm not buying the easy schedule shit.

I'm not going to say they're posers but their defense is garbage and they've got a rookie QB.

Based on those two things, I'm pretty confident in saying they won't make it to the Super Bowl.

That was with Earl Thomas though.

Their defense hasn't looked great without him.

How is their defense garbage? They allowed less points per game than the chiefs. And even if Dak is below average, that line and Elliot can do enough to win.

Why do you think Seattle is good? I mean they have a good defense (but not what it used to be) and a game manager that can run. I thought you hated that?

Asks if people watch football outside of KC

Calls two of the of the most promising teams in the league with winning records "trash"

The pass defense is bad. They've been torched and it's not because of a bend but don't break strategy like we employ. They've been able to keep their PPG down by having the second highest TOP in the league.

They haven't exactly faced a murderer's row of elite QBs this year either. Really, the only great ones they had were Rodgers and Roethlisberged who torched them. Cousins also went in dry.

ThaVirus 01-04-2017 09:33 PM

I don't think Dak is below average either. He's just a rook. No rookie QB has ever led his team to the Super Bowl.

It's not like their TOP is going down in the playoffs. They'll still have the best oline and RB in the league. So if that's why their ppg allowed was low, then it should continue in the playoffs.

That's just because most rookies that start are on horrible teams. It's a meaningless stat.

The refs will be more inclined to let the defenses play in the postseason which will likely affect their passing game and efficiency which would trickle down to TOP.

It's never happened. Not one time. Not Russell Wilson, not Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck.

I mean, there's really nothing else to discuss. At this point we've either got to agree to disagree or make a bet.

I've seen all but one of the Seahawks games this season and I'm not sure they even beat Detroit this weekend, let alone make it to the SB. They can't run the ball, their OL is trash, they just lost their second best WR and their defense went soft with the loss of Earl Thomas.

I think it's pretty well ordained that the SB is going to be between NE and Dallas (with an outside chance of GB). I don't think Altanta's defense is good enough yet for them to make it.
