Don't Jerk And Drive Campaign Pulled
http://www.keloland.com/_images/data/800x600/61187.jpg SIOUX FALLS, SD - A new ad campaign aimed at keeping drivers safe on South Dakota roads, received a bigger negative response than expected. It was so strong that state leaders decided to pull it. We're talking about an ad that the Department of Public Safety began airing a little over a week ago. The ad campaign is titled "don't jerk and drive." It was to remind drivers not to overcorrect by jerking the wheel if they started drifting off the road. But now the state says the ad is inappropriate. Here is a statement from Trevor Jones, Secretary, S.D. Dept. Of Public Safety: "I decided to pull the ad. This is an important safety message and I don't want this innuendo to distract from our goal to save lives on the road." © 2014 KELOLAND TV. They should have made their motto.... Don't jerk the wheel and drive, there's only 10 people that live in SD let's not take us to the single digits!!
|
Once. When I was like 18. Not worth it.
|
There's nothing wrong with jerking and driving. Jerking WHILE driving can cause problems however.

Hands on the wheel at 10 and 2.
NOT 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6, 12 and 6... |

Guy I went to HS with was found jerking it in the Venture parking lot. Forever more he was known as quickfist.

How's a guy supposed to enjoy a car ride? |

It's probably a good message however you take it.

When asked to comment on these recent developments the one eyed gopher released this statement, "Unfortunately they have decided to yank the don't jerk and drive campaign. Although, it has successfully lead to fewer car jackings and mongoose floggings in the drivers seat, they have decided to go in a different direction. God help us all, the jerking and driving will most likely spiral to a gruesome climax."

The ad exec that created this thought it was his big break. He really thought he'd be making money hand over fist.

Ajar of jizz
|
Pretty sure they could have found another way to say they pulled the campaign, that's not really helping their message.

Poor guy seemed to go underground after that, though. BTW, I think he worked at Venture. Not sure. |
They've decided to change the campaign to one that urges people to drive slower on highways in cold weather. They're feeling confident as they unveil their new "Do 69 In The Snow" campaign.
|
Every year, hundreds of crashes result from washer fluid freezing on windshields and imparting vision. When will people finally take the "don't squirt and drive" message seriously?

new road head campaign. |
I believe their next campaign very well could be "An over correction will ruin your erection"

My blood doesn't flow down there so I'd be lucky to reach the 9 & 3 equator line. Honestly making it past 7 & 5 would be monumental. :D |

Article by: PAUL WALSH , Star Tribune Updated: December 16, 2014 - 2:46 PM A survey in the state that yanked ‘Don’t Jerk and Drive’ revealed that nearly a third of men attending the University of South Dakota have had sex while driving as have nearly 10 percent of women at the school in Vermillion. When it comes to sex drive, at least among some young people in South Dakota, there’s a fair amount of sex while driving going on. From the state that brought you — and then took away — the “Don’t Jerk and Drive” safety campaign comes a survey that revealed that nearly a third of men attending the University of South Dakota have had sex while driving, as have nearly 10 percent of women at the school in Vermillion. Just last week, state officials decided to yank the “Don’t Jerk and Drive” campaign after a powerful legislator and some members of the public complained about the phrase’s sexual innuendo. The campaign was intended to raise awareness about the dangers of jerking, or overcorrecting, with a steering wheel while driving on icy roads. Officials confessed that the double entendre was no accident. The study of the South Dakota students, recently published in the journal “Accident Analysis and Prevention” and co-authored by USD Prof. Cindy Struckman-Johnson, received responses from 195 men and 511 women who volunteered to be surveyed. The survey found: • 33 percent of men and 9 percent of women had sex while driving. • 9 percent of men and 29 percent of women had sex while as a passenger. • The two most common acts were oral sex (70.3 percent) and genital touching (60.4 percent). • About 11 percent engaged in vaginal intercourse. • Sexual activity lasted from 1 to 10 minutes for 42.7 percent of the respondents. • About 49 percent were traveling 61 to 80 miles per hour during sex. • The most common driving errors reported were speeding (37.8 percent), drifting into another lane (36 percent) and letting go of the steering wheel (10.8 percent). • Fewer than 2 percent nearly had a crash, and none said they actually had a crash. |
I nearly crashed that vag.
