Defensive coordinator candidates for '15
Who are they, where are they, and what do they run?
|
It's about time you started a good thread!
|
Someone who runs a 1-gap 3-4 not named Bob Sutton.
|
Should have been ****ing Horton when we had the chance.
|
Rex Ryan

I was thinking we got blocked for that, right? |
Ken Norton Jr. LB COACH in Seattle.

Reids gonna keep on keepin' on, you're stuck with Sutton until Reids out the door.

I like ol' Dick Smack. He's in tight with the current regime and should be a good fit.
|
I'd rather have better players.
|
Coaching alone is not going to make these guys cover better.
Hey, remember when we thought Gunther was an All-World DC in the 90s? Turns out we had actual talent on D back then. |
Bob Sutton
You know it's gonna happen |

The Chiefs defense is awful. Sutton will fall on the sword sooner rather than later. |

It wont be Reid, it wont be Dorsey. It will be Sutton. And the reason I mentioned Ken Norton Jr. He played in the 3-4 with Dallas, he coaches in the attack 4-3. And in all honesty, if they want to extend the Career of Hali, they can move him down to end, move Allen Bailey inside with poe, and use Dee Ford like Seattle uses Bruce Irvin. Irvin is a pure pass down pass rusher. That's all he plays. |
Quote:
He has no crutch. NONE. And that's the thing I like about Dorsey knowing he is a Ted Thompson guy, he wont stand for failure. |
The defense was awful yesterday?
Cooper was out and then they lost their only ILB and starting DE to season ending injuries. The coach and GM made no real effort to upgrade CB or S or ILB in the offseason and the teams top two draft picks aren't good enough to get on the field. This is all Sutton's fault? |

And while I can agree that injuries probably hurt the Chiefs, you don't think that Sutton had some pull into drafting Dee Ford, and Gaines, and yet he couldn't incorporate them yesterday at all? Come on, at some point the blame has to be pointed at the guy you know, running the defense. Andy Reid is an offensive guy. |

Sucks for DeVito come back and get hurt he didn't even play pre season games this year. We sign him for how many years 3 or 2 years?

It doesn't matter what you call. Remember when everyone (including us) started running the 'Tampa cover 2'?? Turns out that, without Lynch, Brooks, Sapp, Barber, Rice, et al, it's a pretty vanilla defense. Great players make great plays. (But only if you hand them the ball, Andy Reid) |

In the meantime, they're talking up the job Romeo is doing in Houston on NFLNet right now... |
Rex ryan if available or wade Phillips

Wade Phillips

Couldn't agree more we do not need to be a pass rushing team with the people we have, and with the DB's we have we need to be dropping 8 and rushing 3

Whomever will beat-down Sutton as they pass each other in the hallway!
|
Daniel Quinn
Pay him double |
Arrelious Markus Benn
|
As if anyone is going to get fired this off season. It will not happen as the team is in rebuild mode on year two.

We need someone from Seattle. Teach them how to tackle.

Wade Phillips is the perfect hire.

With football gone, will there be hope for defense? |

You must be thinking that Bob Sutton is going to get a HC job. We all know that Andy Reid will not let Sutton go like he should. |

Wheres the new OC thread? That's a bigger problem.

Sutton should have a go-pro strapped to his chest if he wants to prove he's not an asshole... He should be monitored 24x7!
|
Need a new ****ing HC first....
Tired of replacing trash with smellier trash! |

So I get him taking the blame, taking the bullet, falling on his sword, but so far it means nothing more than the other people who are at fault too never getting their public lashing. And I hate how they think the game is so fast that they can't make adjustments. Perhaps he'd do better by the team by being in the booth and reading CP, evidently we get the concept of making adjustments. But it's not like these game allow for one play, so if you miss you one play-call, you miss the whole game. If the man is this slow, perhaps it's time to pack it in. |

Need a new GM first you know one that can actually draft players. |
Quote:
He took this team from a two win abortion to a playoff contender and you think we're just going magically up and replace him and then all of a sudden everything is fixed? |
Quote:
I think Capers could get back to being a top 5 D coord with a fresh start... |
Two wins to a playoff team in one season...then after one game Andy Reid needs to be fired....
Bunch of ****ing females, i swear. |

Anyone committed to halftime adjustments!
|
You can have Pagano. He's a huge pussy who dribbles shit down his leg in the fourth quarter and we need someone to dump him on.

SD went into AZ on Monday Night...in their home opener and played a team that was better than them a year ago and barely lost by ONE ****ing Point. And then all i hear this morning is about how the sky is falling and how the coaches can't coach and the players can't play whaaaaaaa.... STFU already. You lost to a superior team in a Monday night home opener by ONE ****ing point..... SHUT THE **** UP. |

Perhaps a 1 Arrowhead Way melt-down of all 70'ish of them, with a no-hold-barred screaming, finger-pointing, and name-calling session, would be a great way to start the fix. Get it all out there, each of them tell the rest of them what they really think, then see who wants to quit and who wants to stay and commit their whole life to getting better that every guy they'll play against. Hey, it's worth a try... |
Reid would have to be forced into making a change.
Not going to happen. |

To be continued from 2013........
The Chiefs' defense allowed 405 yards last week. It marked the seventh game in the last nine that Kansas City's defense allowed 400 yards or more. The Chiefs have also allowed 23+ point in seven of eight games. Put Wade on Speed dial |
