Favorite Cologne
I'm always on the lookout for a great smelling cologne. I have tried many, from classics such as Polo and Obsession and Fahrenheit, all of which I liked. As I got older in my early 20's, I like stuff like Polo Sport, Tommy Hilfiger Athletic, and Hugo Boss. Lately, the last 10 years or so, I have switched and I really like Issey Miyake, and Jean Paul Gautier. My question is, what are your favorite colognes, ones that make the ladies heads turn in your direction. Success stories are also nice, ones in which your cologne of choice landed you a prime piece. Trying to find some new colognes, change my game up a bit.

They sell Sex Panther at Dillards?

I like Chrome, Armani Code, and anything Perry Ellis (360 and America)
|
I love polo blue but I hate that everyone wears it. It's way too mainstream mow
|
I quit wearing cologne when I went to college.

Favorite Cologne
My dad gave me some Platinum Chanel like 5 years ago that I still have and use on very rare occasions. I like the smell but tend to gravitate more toward the sweeter fragrances. Plus I don't think it really mixes well with my skin.
...That really is something that people underrate. If you're a true colognessieur you've got to learn what scents mix with your natural smell. When you hit the right combo, you smell like the truth. |
Why would you want to smell like a douchebag?

Montblanc

drakkar is the best bro i bathe in that stuff

Not a big cologne wearer but I like Gucci guilty

"essence de pig" smells like bacon. Chicks dig it!

Ive been wearing Cool Water since I was in jr high. A friend from high school that I hadn't seen since gave me hell for still wearing it when I ran into him a few months ago. Apparently I'm "stuck in the 90's". I didn't realize scents could go out of style.

I don't wear cologne enough to know what is good and what isn't. I have some shit my wife got me from Eddie Bauer about 5 years ago that smells good, and I have some old Polo, but I might put it one twice a year. I don't stink, so I don't use cologne much

Chrome by Azzaro is delicious. Plus you can buy small slightly phallic shaped bottles at Walmart in an emergency situation.

It puts the lotion on its back....

Stetson

Burberry Summer

Another for Chrome. Kenneth Cole Black isn't bad either.

Armani Code is a panty dropper.

I'll pull out the Polo on occasion, but more often I go with Nautica, less intrusive/pungent.
I prefer to smell nice and clean, rather than 'trolling to smash puss.' Halston 1-12 isn't bad for a rural, country scene. |

Just got a bottle of Pi by Givenchy. I smell awesome.

I bust out the Curve or Lucky in between classes when I hit my locker and grab my TI-83 for Algebra I.

I buy small bottle's of Brad Pitt's sweat off of Ebay. Kinda pricey, but the gals can't resist it.

If you're serious.
Creed: Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Vetiver, Aventus, and Santal are all quality fragrances. Tremendous sillage and very high quality stuff. Those are just some starters, they have dozens more. I also like Himalaya. Wonderful, woody fragrance. Next tier down would be Tom Ford's line of fragrances. If you want something custom and pretty unique I recommend DS & Durga but their stuff is hard to find in stock. It's all small batch and limited distribution. But fun. I am currently using Free Trapper. Typical Macy's stuff. Issy Miyake has a decent line. His "Sport" features cedar notes very prominently. The other of his popular scent (can't recall by name now) is heavy with vanilla top notes but mellows into a more woody scent. Varvatos has come out with a pretty strong line up. Not my jam but people seem to like it. Yves St. Lauren has a fragrance called Libre which is fun. Nice lavender notes. |

Probably the most metro thing about me is my tendency to always have at least 10-15 different brands/types of cologne to choose from at all times. I've been like this for roughly 15 years.
With that said, my favorite (and my wife's favorite), hands down is: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqF,!lk..._id=880000500F You won't smell anything else like it...guaranteed. Smells great. And it was discontinued a few years ago, so you can only get ahold of it via Ebay...which sucks. Another unique one is Eddie Bauer Adventurer. HOWEVER...there is one cologne that sticks out in terms of getting the absolute most positive responses from the females. This stuff is like catnip to the pussies.... no joke....the name of this cologne is.... ....drumroll..... Paris Hilton for Men. No joke. I've tried/had hundreds of different types of cologne. If you wear this, you are GUARANTEED to receive some extra attention. The stuff is an absolute chick-magnet. What sucks is being asked the inevitable question of, "what is that sexayyy cologne you are wearing???" To be honest, replying with "oh, I'm wearing Paris Hilton for Men" is straight up embarrassing to me. So I usually make something up on the spot. For example, last week one of my wife's friends asked me what kind of cologne I was wearing and I replied with, "uhhhh.....errr.....Casablanca!!!" "Casablanca" was the first thing that came to mind because there was a "Casablanca" poster hanging behind her when she asked me. She responded with, "well, I'm going to have to get my husband some because that is the best scent ever." CHICKS...FREAKING...LOVE...PARIS HILTON FOR MEN. And it's cheap...it's only like $15 on Ebay. |

What's a good cologne that is quality, but not quantity. Basically, I want one that is good but I don't want one that is mainstream.

Which is plenty good enough for a whole helluva lot of chicks. |

I was a real big fan of that original Adidas kind in the little triangular bottles.

Ironic that some fragrances are being labeled as "90s" and Chrome is so lauded. I was wearing the latter in the late 90s.
High-quality is timeless. |
I smell only of white-collar labor and a trace of 24-weight printer paper.

Coolwater is my favorite. Very clean smelling and not overpowering. I like it for the spring and summer months. For winter and fall I go with Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Toilette. |
